Parker

I'm jealous of Heather. She lives in a normal house with a normal family. She has nothing to worry about except for her grades. I keep thinking of what I'll do when I get home as Heather and I solve a really complicated puzzle. She looks beautiful even when she's solving a puzzle. How can someone be this perfect?

"What's up?" She says as she notices me staring.

"Oh nothing."

"Tell me." She says, "I won't judge." Her attention is back to the puzzle pieces now. She takes one and starts folding it until it's just a piece of cardboard.

"Why did you do that?" I ask her.

"Why won't you tell me?"

Ugh she gives me puppy eyes. The most attractive thing in girls. I think of something to say quickly. The reason I was staring at her was because she looked beautiful and worth staring at. Maybe I should tell her that I think she's beautiful. But she might kick me out of the house and she'd think I'm a creep.

"What are you thinking about?" She asks, her brown eyes boring into mine. Brown and blue, sand and ocean. You, I want to say but I can't.

Heather

He says nothing and stares into my eyes. I hate it when he does that. It makes me want to scream and hit him with a pillow or something.

"Parker I think you're glitching." I joke and he laughs. The most innocent laugh a humanoid can process.

"What makes you think that." He says. He leans closer, his elbows on his knees. I feel uncomfortable and shift backwards. He seems to realize that as his eyes widen and shifts backwards as well. "Sorry." He says.

"It's okay." I say and he continues to stare. Our eyes meet and he looks away.

"I'll go get us something to eat." I say and he nods.

My mom is downstairs sitting in the living room on the couch. She smiles, "Kissed your man yet?"

"Ew mom no." I say as I stick out my tongue.

"Did someone say my name?" Says a voice behind me. I turn around to see Parker, smirking.

"You guys look cute together.'' says mom.

"Mom I said it before, ew." I say and the room goes quiet. My mom's smile disappears and Parker looks down. I know what I have done. But it's not late to apologize.

Parker gives me a half smile, a hurt one probably. I quickly take out a big bag of chips from the nearest drawer and take Parker's arm to lead him to my room.

"That kinda hurt." He says once we've reached my room.

"I know. I'm sorry." I say.

He doesn't say anything and just nods his head. He looks at me and smiles and I can't help but laugh. He points at the chips that I'm holding. "Are we gonna eat that? Cause I'm starving." He says in such a sweet voice that I've never heard coming from a boy.

It's official I'm in love with Parker. Just a tiny bit.
