Chapter 21
Heather
Every time I get a message my soul leaves my body. I fear that it might be Olivia saying something mean. But It's always an email from newsletters I've signed in. It really surprises me that Olivia didn't say anything yet. From what I know from our past friendship, Olivia never shuts up about anything she hates. She always made sure to speak about her rights, or if something or someone really annoys her. But this time, she doesn't say anything. Maybe she changed.
I suddenly get the urge to stuff my mouth. I haven't eaten anything since breakfast. I also really wanna go out with someone. But of course, I Have no one. The only person I can think of is Parker. But I already spent some time with him yesterday. I don't want to seem too clingy. I'll be nice if I went alone, I think to myself. I mean, what could go wrong?
I get up and get my wallet to go out. Alone.
I mean what could go wrong?
Parker
I already miss Heather. How can a person look so angelic and have a great personality at the same time? Wow, I just realized that It's my very first time being attracted to someone. That's scary when I think about it.
The door to my room opens and I look up as Andrew, my step brother, comes in.
"Hey." He says.
"Hi." I reply.
I don't know what to expect. I don't know what his intentions are. I don't know if I should give him a chance cause every time I give someone a chance, they mess up. And they end up losing my trust.
"What are you doing?" He asks, as he lifts his heavy eye brows and runs a hand through his hair.
"Nothing." I say.
"I think we should hang out and get to know each other. What do you think?"
"I'm not in the mood maybe later."
He gets out a basketball and throws it at me. It hits my nose pretty hard but I don't feel much pain. I've gotten worse. But it's not a great start for our "friendship" so I get filled with rage.
"What was that for?" I ask.
"For being an ungrateful idiot." He says as he laughs. I hear a few other laughs behind him outside my room. That's when I realize, he has his friends over.
"Now stop being a little girl and start crying so give me back that ball." Says Andrew.
I don't argue and throw him back the ball so he can leave the room. And surprisingly, he does.
