Sophie POV

I risked a glance at Keefe. He looked so sad and broken. I decided to let him mourn. I ran towards the cloaked figure as I put all my strength into my legs.As I cornered the figure,a gust of wind blew off the hood. I gasped in surprise. 

"Kenric?" I asked in a small voice.

He stared at me with blank eyes. He smiled maliciously,twisting his recent scars.A cloth wrapped around my mouth. I felt the sickly sweet smell of a sedative,as darkness swallowed me.

Keefe POV

I looked to my side ready to comfort Sophie. I gasped.  Realization dawned on me as I gasped. I walked away and called Mr.Forkle.  His image popped up. 

"You kids,even calling during Wanderlings."  I shook my head as the events of today came out in a tsunami of words.

Sophie taught me that. My whole stature slumped even more.  Mr.Forkle paled and told everyone to meet them at Havenfield. I trudged into the light as I held up a clear crystal as the light whisked me away. I landed at Havenfield. The second I reached I was swarmed with questions. I stumbled back. Fitz's usually neatly kept hair was tangled and messy.  Edaline and Grady were sobbing in the back.  Suddenly a thought prickled  my mind. My eyes widened as I deciphered the message.
