Chapter 45, Birthday Ball Part 1
Jacks POV
I shook hands for what felt like forever. I stood next to my lovely bride, watching flows of people enter the gates. Elsa shook everyone's hand and said hello to them. She did it with a big smile that never faulted. I was watching her and copying. I shook everyone's hand, answering a question here and there. When the flow stopped to only a few people every minuet, I turned to Elsa.
"How in the world is your hand not hurting," I said, wringing my hands in pain. She chuckled.
"Because I'm a queen, I've been taught that way. Your practically a 5 year old in a guardians body." She said, covering her mouth with her hand as she laughed. A piece of her hair fell in front of her face with out her knowing. I brushed it to the side and tucked it behind her ear. "T-thanks," she said. "We should go start the party huh," she said, grabbing my hand and dragging me to the ball room where everyone was.
A man in the front called everyone to attention of some kind of announcement. "Queen Elsa, Of Arendale." He said. Elsa quickly glided elegantly up to the throne and stood with her head high. "Soon-to-be King Jack, Of Arendale," he said. I followed like Elsa, having to stand next to her. She glanced up at me, and I look down to her. "Princess Anna, If Arendale," he said. Anna awkwardly made her way to the front, murmuring about where she should stand, ending up next to her sister. "Prince Kristoff, Of Arendale," he said. I saw Kristoff emerge from the crowd wearing a suit that matched mine, but mine was blue and his was green. He stood next to Anna. Everyone bowed and the music began. I saw Rapunzel start to grab people from the crowd, swinging them into a dance. Merida and Hiccup came over to chat with us. Rapunzel grabbed Hic while Flynn grabbed Merida. We all laughed at Meridas attempt to et away. As they swung by, they grabbed me. I was flung into a dance that I somehow guessed the moves to. It got faster. We would all switch partners while the music went. It was a blast. Right when the music stopped, I landed with Elsa. Judging by her short breaths, she had been dancing as well.
"So," I said, bowing. "May I have this dance?" I asked her. She nodded with an amused smirk on her face. She took my hand and I grabbed her waist, pulling her close to me. We danced and all I could focus on was her eyes. Her big, bright, beautiful icy blue eyes. I noticed that everyone around us stopped, watching us. We didn't care, we weren't focused on them. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and swept a piece of her hair out of her face. She blushed as I twirled her. We danced for a few more minutes before the music stopped and the song ended. Everyone clapped while I kissed Elsa's hand and put it in mine as we walked over to our friend group.
"Well, aren't you the belle of the ball," Rapunzel said to Elsa as we stood by her. Elsa shot her a stop-now-before-I-hurt-you look and Rapunzel just smiled. Anna, Merida, hiccup, and Flynn came over to us.
"I love your dress Merida, give us a swirl," Elsa said, moving her finger around in circles. Merida huffed as she turned for Elsa. "Merida, what have I said about work boots," Elsa said. Merida shot her a death glare. With the flick of her wrist, Elsa used her magic to create green high heels for Merida. Merida stumbled, tripping over her feet, falling. Hiccup caught her, making her look up at him. They both turned red as he helped her to stand up. They stood awkwardly by each other, not making eye contact.
"Oh come on! That was so perfectly cliché!" Anna said, dramatically. Everyone but the two laughed quietly. Elsa let go of my hand, making the warm go. She walked over to Merida, grabbing her arm, Rapunzels, and Anna's.
"Come on, I have something to tell you," Elsa said, dragging them. Anna broke free of her grasp, making the girls turn to watch as Anna quickly walked over to the chocolate marshmallows. She grabbed 3-6 and then walked back over, plopping one into her mouth. Elsa rolled her eyes as Anna followed the girls into a room.
Elsa's POV
"Anna, was that really necessary?" I asked playfully. She nodded quickly, placing another into her mouth. I rolled my eyes and looked at them all. "Girls, Merida has a problem. She's got it bad." I said, shaking my head. Rapunzels eyes grew wide.
"Oh my gosh! Really!?" Rapunzel said, jumping up. Meridian face turned tomato red while Anna looked confused.
"What does she have?" Anna questioned.
"She's in love Anna! With Hiccup!" Me and Rapunzel said at the same time. Anna had an 'ohhhhhh' moment while Merida covered her head in her hands.
"Is it that obvious..." She mumbled. We nodded while she hid her face. "She has no feelings for me, I can tell. He just stares at me..." She said. I gasped. Was she really this clueless.
"You really don't know anything about love do you?" I heard an unseen voice say. Olaf then walked in and shut the door. He walked over to the ground by Anna's feet and sat down, grabbing his feet with his twig hands. Merida looked down to the adorable little snowman.
"I guess not..." She said, taking her hands from her now natural colored face.
"Excuse me for a moment," I said, starting to walk to the door. I heard Merida jump up. I started to open the door when she tackled me to the floor. I groaned. I fell hard on my stomach, landed at someone's feet. I groaned. Merida started to whisper in my ear.
"I swear upon Oden, if you say anythin, I'll hurt you bad," she said very quietly. I gulped and nodded. She got off me and walked back into the room, shutting it behind her, leaving me with the stranger. I looked up to the person who was now holding out their hand for me.
"Queen Elsa, are you alright?" The man said. I took his hand and got up, dusting off my dress.
"Thank you, but I'm quite alright. Please, call me Elsa. What's your name?" I asked, fixing my crown and looking to the man. He was wearing a suit, as if he was a prince. He had red-orange shaggy hair, bright blue eyes. He had mega sideburns. He bowed as he stated his name.
"Prince Ryan, of the Southern Isles." He said. I froze. No pun intended. "You've probably heard of my little brother. That's right, I'm the 12 in line for the Southern Isles. I was second last born." I had no words. Surely this man couldn't be related to those scumbags. "I hope that won't affect your take on me your highness, but I would understand completely if it did." He said.
"No, no it doesn't. I've seen you before, when Hans escaped into the mountains. You were with his brothers." I said.
"Yeah," he said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"I wouldn't ever judge you by your family. You are you, not them." I said.
"Thanks. I keep getting death looks from people in the crowd." He said, chuckling. His voice was deep but soft.
"I guess you'd be the first not to," he said. I sent him a smile. "Also, happy birthday," he said. I blushed.
"Thank you." I said. Just then, Jack walked down the hallways going in our direction.
"Elsa, your being requested. Who's this?" Jack asked, closely eyeing Ryan. This is not the time for jealousy, Jack.
"This is Ryan. He is a prince from the Southern Isles," I said. Jack have him a death glare. Ryan bowed.
"I understand you are Queen Elsa's Fiancé? Congratulations." Ryan said. I sent him a smile and locked arms with Jack. They shook hands and exchanged hi's.
"Well, it looks like I'm being requested, have a nice night Ryan." I said. He bowed. I walked down the hallway with Jack. "That was very rude of you Jack. Just because he is a prince of the Southern Isles doesn't mean he is evil like the rest of his family. You don't judge Anna and I because we have powers. Some People actually do." I said, looking to him. His cold, hard face turned soft and delicate.
"I'm sorry Elsa." He said, looking down. I used my finger to push up his chin, making him look at me. I gave him a long kiss.
"It's alright. Let's enjoy my birthday," I said. He smiled and pushed open the door for me. I murmured a thanks as I walked In. Here we go.
Hey guys, please don't kill me... I'm so sorry that this is SUPER LATE. I got lost in school and this weekend will really be my only day to write, and I've had this chapter being edited for quite a bit, so I finished it. Again really sorry.
