Chapter 18, Guardian of Freedom

Elsa's POV

"Elsa, may I have a word in private?" Father asked.

"Sure," I said, following him into my room.

"I will not allow you to put your life on the line for the guardians and I's issue." he said in a serious voice.

"Arendale is my kingdom, Hans is my problem. I'm not a child anymore dad. I know how to handle myself." I said calmly, trying not to yell.

"No Elsa! I will not let you go on this journey." He yelled.

"When are you going to treat me like an adult?" I asked, raising my voice only a little.

"When I feel it is the right time." He said now screaming at me. Before I knew it, I had a red hand print on my face. He had slapped me. My own father, slapped me. I touched my face, it hurt. "Elsa, I-I...." He stuttered. I ran out of the room, and into the bath room. I sat there, in the dark. Alone. I needed Anna. My face hurt if I didn't put pressure on it, so I used my hand. I walked out of my room and into the globe room where everyone was. Everyone gave me stares. I grabbed Anna by both hands, showing my red cheek.

"Please come with me." I said to her. She followed.

"Elsa, what happened to your face?" She asked concerned.

"Father..." I said.

"Father did this? oh he is going to get it." Anna said before running out of my room. I heard yells from down the hall. "How could you do that! To your daughter!" Anna yelled. This is about to get bad. I ran into the globe room and tried to hold Anna down. But that took two hands, putting my face in agony. Jack saw the mark and concern flashed in his eyes.

"Elsa?"

"Jack, I need your help, she's going to kill him if I don't hold her back and in doing pretty terrible because she is really strong!" I said to him. He grabbed my waist and pulled me back. He was strong. I finally pulled Anna away from father and to my room. Jack was also there.

"Please explain on how this happened?" He said, touching my cheek.

"Ouch!" I said looking at him.

"Sorry..." He said, getting a wet cloth and rubbing it over my cheek.

"My and father were talking and he suddenly got upset because I was coming with you guys and he said I should act more like an adult and it escalated to him.... Slapping me..." I said. Jack showed anger in his eyes. "I have forgiven him, because we were both yelling and we both have a short fuse. He didn't mean it. Try to forgive and forget." I said to Jack. His face was still hard, but softened.

"I'm still going to kill him, he has no right to hurt my sister, or his daughters in general. But I don't have kill him, moms already doing that..." Anna said. I guess she would be right, moms probably giving him a hell of a time. Jack wrung out the cloth, rubbed it smoothly across my face again, and put it back into the bathroom.

"Thanks Jack." I said, giving him a peck on the lips.

"No problem Snowflake." He said. I always liked that nickname. Snowflake.

"Frostbite." I said, taunting him.

"Snowflake." He said back.

"Aww, your nicknames for each other are really cute. Frostbite and snowflake. The feels man, the feels..." Anna said, gripping her chest where her heart is to look dramatic.

"Oh Anna, same old Anna. Always knows how to make me smile."I said to no one in particular.

"Thank you, thanks you very much." She said in an Elvis voice. We all laughed until we cried. It's scary on how well she does it.

"When do you think we are going to leave for our journey?" Jack asked.

"I dont know, but I know that I will not be coming with you." I said to jack, hanging my head low.

"Why not?" He asked, concerned.

"Remember, I cant go anywhere warm. Corona and DuBrough are very warm kingdoms." I said, remembering back to the trolls.

"Oh," He realized.

"Ill keep you company Elsa!" Anna bounced.

"I can teach you some things about your powers know that you have them." I smiled at Anna. She screamed in delight. She gave me a big hug.

"A-anna cant b-breath." I squeezed out.

"Oh, sorry." She said with a giggle.

"I think we should go and see what there up to." Jack said. We all agreed and walked into the globe room. They were discussing on where to start.

"What about DunBrough?" Santa asked.

"I want to go to Corona!" Tooth said. "I hear they have good teeth there!" She said.

"How about we start where we know, Arendale." I said in a queenly manner. Everyone looked at me, but I posed myself as a queen.

"I agree, we should start at Aredale." Bunny said. Sandy gave a thumbs up and everyone else agreed. They all started getting things ready for the journey.

"How long do you thing you will take?" I asked Tooth.

"Probably a few days, maybe even weeks." She responded, putting a tooth brush and floss in a bag she was carrying. She is big in hygiene. I walked over to Jack and Anna. Jack was putting things into his pockets, but he cant fit everything.

"Ugh, your as bad as Anna," I said, taking everything and putting it into an ice bag that I created.

"Thanks Elsa." He said.

"Tooth says you may be gone for weeks." I said to him.

"Its a big journey. Ill be surprised if it doesn't take months." He said. This kind of shattered my heart a little. Ill miss him a lot. Ill wait for him.

"Is everyone ready?" North asked in his Russian accent. Everyone was ready to leave. Me, Anna, and Mother stayed behind to take care of the workshop. Anna went up to bunny, Mom went to dad, and I walked over to Jack. I started laughing because his hair was messed up and it was sticking up out of place.

"What? is there something on my face?" He said.

"Here, let me fix it. Your hair is sticking up." I said, smoothing down his hair. "God your tall!" I said, standing on my tippie toes. I fixed his hand and looked at him in his eyes. "You be careful. Im serious. I worry about you and your mischievous mind. No fun allowed on this trip." I said.

"But Mommmmmm," He said. "Im not your mother, but its true. I worry about you. Be Careful. There better not be a scratch on your body when you get back!" I said to him.

"To the sleigh!" North shouted. Everyone went, but Jack stayed behind.

"Jack? What are you-" I was cut off by Jack giving me a goodbye kiss.

"Goodbye Snowflake, I will miss you. No scratches on you either. I worry." He said.

"Goodbye Frostbite, please watch yourself. Here, if you need anything at all, use this." I said, handing him a ice bird. "Blow on it, tell it a message, tell it to come to me, and let it go. Use it if you need anything, at all." I said, putting the bird in his bag.

"I will." He said. He grabbed my hand, and looked right into my eyes. "Snowflake, behave." He said with his signature grin.

"You to Frostbite." I said, teasing him. I gave him a quick peck, and he ran to the sleigh. "Goodbye my love." I murmured. Anna and my Mother stood next to me as they left. I already missed him. Anna had Kristoff with her. I needed a good cry, but not in front of them. "If you will, please excuse me." I said walking to my room. I shut the door and iced the lock so no one could get in. I changed my elegant dress into shorts and a hoodie. I sat on my bed, fell over on to it, and started crying. I thought of the worst things. What if Jack doesn't come back. What if he gets hurt. What if I never see him again. What if he finds someone else. My room was getting very cold. I was starting to lose control. "No!" I said to myself. I wont lose control. Never. I got up, cleaned myself up, and just sat on the bed for about 30 minuets. After that, I just started cleaning. Its a thing I do when im stressed. I clean. I cleaned my room first, then Anna's, then Kristoffs, then Mom and Dad's, the all the offices. I Cleaned the globe room, and everywhere else.

"Mom, Elsa is stress cleaning." Anna yelled from her room.

"Whats wrong Elsa?" Mom asked, seeing that she was sitting right behind me.

"Just thinking of the worst things that could happen. What if they dont come back? What if something happens? I'm just paranoid, but when im stressed, I clean. This is my third time cleaning the workshop today." I explained. She listened and understood. After I cleaned the workshop for the fourth time, I went to my room.

"Elsa, your the guardian of freedom, though you dont spread it, why?" Someone from behind me asked. I turned to see a very pale man in a white suit.

"Who are you?" I asked, jumping to my feet.

"I am the Man in the Moon. The one who granted you all guardianship. As I said before, why are you not spreading freedom?" He asked. I was shocked. Here was the moon, in front of me.

"I cant go outside." I said the Manny. He walked closer to me, and asked,

"May I have your hand?" I gave him my hand, and he touched it with his cold hands, but the cold never bothered me. I felt as though something was being lifted off my shoulders. "Now you can go outside. The spell the trolls told you about is true, but I have lifted the spell. Go spread freedom," He said.

"B-but I don't know how? How would I even get there?" I asked.

"You fly of course." In a duh tone.

"I cant fly, Jack can, but I cant." I said to him.

"Oh but Elsa, you can." He said. "Pardon me for this, but you will thank me later." He said. He pushed me, causing me to fall out of the window.

"Ahhhhhhh!" I screamed, waiting for the impact. It never came. I was flying. "Oh my god! Im flying!" I said, soaring through the air.

"Your almost as good as Jack." Manny said. "Go spread Freedom." He said, disappearing.

"Thank you," I said, looking to the moon. Your welcome young one. I heard in my head which I assume was him. I flew to Burgess, the place Jack grew up in. It was the first place I thought of. "Wind, please take me to Burgess, but be easy, this is my first go," I said to the wind. It carried me, but it felt as though it was making sure my ride was smooth. Once we were there, it put me down gently. "Thank you wind." I said. I saw a small wooden cottage, and thought that that would be a good place to start. I knew no one could see me, so I walked close to a young woman who was in the back. Ill say she looks about 16. She had big blue eyes which reminded me of Jack. They looked very similar.

"Emma, did you feed the chickens?" Someone from inside the house said.

"Yes mom," The girl responded. She was watering plants. "When are going to start trusting me!" She said to her mother.

"When your free from childhood." Her mom said. Freedom. Manny said I would know how to do this, so I guess I could give it a try. Whatever I did, nothing happened.

"Manny, I don't know what to do, please help me!" I said, looking to the moon. Suddenly, a ring popped into my hand. I put it on, and it fit perfectly. I put it on my non-engagement ring hand, because I don't think Jack would approve. "Thank you Manny." I said to the moon. I pointed the ring twords the girl, and blue light shined through the ring on to the girl. Then I pointed it to the mom.

"Emma, im sorry, I should trust you more." The mom said.

"YES! It works!" I yelled. I was so happy. Thats enough for today, time to go back to the workshop. Manny said to me. "Thanks for everything Manny," I said. "Jack has a staff and I have a ring. Nice." I said with a huge grin on my face. Your welcome Elsa. Don't doubt Jack, he is a good guy and really cares about you, he will come back for you Elsa. "Thank you Manny, but I will still worry about him. He is very mischievous." I said. He seemed as though he shook his head signalling a yes. "Wind? Please take me back to the Workshop." I said to the wind. It picked me up, and flew me to the workshop. I love flying. With Jack and alone. Once I got there, I thanked the wind, because its polite, and walked into my room. It was starting to get dark, so I went into the globe room with everyone else and said goodnight. I walked back into my room, and went to sleep.

"Jack? Why are you back so early? Where are the others?" I said to Jack, helping him stand up. He had a big gash on his side. I know guardians are immortal, but with dark magic they can get very hurt and even die.
"Hans was waiting for us Elsa. We needed you! Why didnt you come with us. Oh, I get it, you didnt want to get yourself hurt. You know, your not the only one who values there lives." He said in a harsh tone.
"Jack, what are you talking about? I wanted to come, but my father wouldn't let me. He slapped me and im not doing that again." I said to him.
"He should've hit you harder, maybe he would have knocked you out so I wouldn't have to listen to your annoying voice!" He screamed.
"w-what?" I questioned. He really wanted that. He wanted me to get hurt.
"Your a monster! You destroy everything in your tracks!" He screamed. I covered my ears.
"No! Why are you saying these things? Stop, please!" I said to him.
"Weak," He responded and walked off. "Elsa? Elsa get up!" I heard Anna's voice.

I woke up drenched in sweat. "Elsa! Are you okay? You started screaming in your sleep, are you okay?" She questioned. It was a nightmare. Good.

"Im fine, I need a glass of water," I said, getting up.

"No, you stay, ill go get it." She said getting up.

"Thanks Anna." I said. She smiled and went to go get the water. It was just a nightmare. It felt so real. I know Jack would never say those things to me.

None of this was planned, but I know where I can take this now. Writers block sucks. It took me two days to finish this chapter, because I couldn't think of anything, but then ideas just started coming to me. Byeeeeeee
