Nyx was to afraid to move. Caribou was growling at her captors and trying to escape. "Enough, dragonet," said Glacier. "Now, tell me where your sibling is."

 "No way!" Caribou said defiantly. "Don't come out, sis!" Caribou yelled at a far wall. 

Smart move, Nyx thought. But, she still wanted to help and she had to get out of there. Making up her mind, Nyx roared and distracted the guards long enough for Caribou to get out.

 "Run!" shouted Stout as Glacier shouted, "Get them!"

 Nyx and Caribou dashed for the cave entrance, guards chasing them the whole way. Then, Nyx saw that Frostbite had something in her talons. It was a crossbow. 

"Oh no! Caribou, fly as fast as you can!"

 Caribou turned and saw the crossbow, as well. Don't do anything dangerous, Nyx thought. But, just as Frostbite shot an arrow out of her crossbow, Caribou pushed Nyx out of its way. The arrow tore through Caribou's wing and the dragon let out a roar of agony as she fell to the ground. 

"Caribou!" Nyx shouted. She flew down to her sister and tried to get the arrow out. 

"Nyx, don't. You have to go," Caribou told her. 

"NO!" Nyx exclaimed as she struggled with the arrow. "I'm not leaving you to die!"

 "Nyx, you have to go," Caribou said with more force. "If you stay, it's over for both of us. But, if you go, Glacier will probably use me as bait. Besides, I'll only act weak and pathetic. They don't want to see what happens when I'm really mad."

 Nyx sighed. Caribou wasn't going to take no for an answer. 

"Where are they?" she heard Frostbite shout and decided that was her cue to leave. 

"Don't die," Nyx told Caribou. 

"Don't worry," said Caribou, "I promise I won't." 

Nyx flew away from her sister and tears started to well up in her eyes. What if Caribou doesn't make it? What kind of sister will I be then? Besides, I don't even know where I'm flying.

She tried to calm down, but it was no use. Nyx kept flying, not daring to look back, and finally landed... somewhere. She didn't know exactly where, but she was in a forest. Except, it didn't seem like a normal forest. Nyx didn't have much time to think about it, because then she fell asleep. Her dream was not pleasant at all.

Caribou is in a pool of blood. Is she asleep or... the alternative?

Stoat is yelling in a prison cell, IceWings laughing every time he starts to sob.

Glacier is on a throne of ice and she is smiling a wicked smile.

Nyx woke up with a shudder and started to cry. What if those things really happened? She would be the one responsible. She would be the dragon who was too scared to stay with her family. As Nyx cried, she heard something. Then a voice said, "Come."
