The ride to the forest would be awhile but you decided to go stand on the deck. Sure, it was cold but it never affected you for some reason. You could never..freeze like other people could. You still put on a jacket, and lean against the edge of the deck, looking at the clouds. You'd never been up this high before. It felt amazing up here. You felt the cool winter breeze as the bounty went through the clouds.

You close your eyes and smile, this was probably the best experience you've ever had. "Greetings Kirstin." You heard Zane coming onto the deck. You turn around and smile at him as he came over to you. "Hi Zane." He leans against the edge. "Shouldn't you be inside with everyone else? It's quite cold out here." You can't help but, blush at his concern for you. "The cold never really affected me. I just wanted some fresh air but thanks for asking."

There was a silence between you both but you really wanted to know more about Zane. You were still shy when it came to a regular conversation with him. When it came to research, you felt understood, and you felt comfortable to just be 'nerdy' around him. "Kirstin, if it is not too much to ask.." Zane starts and you look at him. "Yes?" "I-i would like to..get to know you more. We seem to be A-alike in some ways."

Your eyes widen, "Alike how?" "We seem to have the same-" "Extensive knowledge??" "...yes, something like that." You think for a moment before nodding and telling him about yourself. While talking, you couldn't help the look of interest on Zane's face. When you finished, "I have never seen anyone so mesmerized by my backstory." "Is that...wrong?" Zane asks now getting confused.

"Oh no, not at all. It's just I'm a very prosaic person. At least...that's how everyone views me as." "Oh no, you're not that at all. Everyone thinks I'm more...stoical. I understand where you're coming from with that." You smile knowing he's the second person on this ship who was a misfit like you. "Well...I on the other hand, am very enthralled by you. I've been wanting to ask...how exactly do you um...work? Like, where do you come from? Who made you and why?"

Zane actually chuckled at how many questions you were asking him. "I'm from birchwood forest, my father, Doctor Julian Roberts, created me to protect others who cannot protect themselves. And as for how do I work? That is a very complicated answer. It's actually hard to explain and even I, am not sure what powers me." You smile at him, "Well, being a major in engineering, I'm sure I can figure out what makes your gears work!" "That'd be nice, i would like to understand more."

You smile and nod. But then at that moment you felt a...tingling inside of you. You weren't shaking, it wasn't twitching nor a seizure. It was like, vibrations through your body. It was a weird sensation and you didn't understand why all of a sudden you were feeling it. You then felt it go away. What was that? "Ohhh I don't want a lot for Christmas!! There is just one thing I neeeeddd! And I don't care about the presents UNderNEATH the Christmas treeeee!! Cause I just want you for my owwwnnn MORE than you could ever knooowww!!  Make my wish come trRRRRuuuuuUuuEEEee! All I want for christmaaasss is yoouuuuuu!!!!! Shoutout to the lovebirds on deck!" Jay sings terribly from over the speakers.

Zane gets confused but you immediately blush. In fact, why were you blushing?!! "Haha just wanted to let everyone know, we're directly above the forest! We should start planning NOW people!" He says. "Odd...but I presume we should continue this conversation for another time." Zane says and you nod still blushing and speechless. You quickly go ahead of Zane back to the bridge.

When you all were in the bridge, planning began. "Keep in mind, they are not from here. Their way of fighting will be different from ours. Stay alert and stay sharp." Sensei Wu reminds you all. "We will Sensei. Alright so, according to the map, that's where there are and this is where we are! We can't let them know we're here." Cole says and you all nod.

"Our goal should be to see what's inside the ship. And to gather as much information from them as possible. We need to set a good example that Ninjago comes at peace, if they get aggressive then attack back. If not, don't engage." Lloyd says and you all nod again understanding the plan. "Did you get that Kai?" "Yeah, yeah, I'll control myself.." Kai says rolling his eyes. "And be careful! They shapeshift! Once they turn into you its bye bye!" Jay says and you sigh. "Theory Jay...it's a theory.." You say and he scoffs. "Oh I'm so right this time! You'll all see!"

"So, shall we get going?" Zane asks the others putting his ninja mask on. The others do the same and nod. "You coming Kirstin?! We could maybe still need you when we go searching." Jay offers. "It sounds precarious...Oh, alright. And besides! I've always wanted to see real extra terrestrial life forms! Just get me close enough safely!" You said and they nod.

You follow them to the deck and with a 'Ninja Go!' Kai, Lloyd, and Cole jumped off the ship and summoned dragons in mid air. All except for Zane and Jay who looked at you. "So who's dragon you wanna get on kirsty?!" Jay asked and you looked between the two. "Um well...I guess-" "Zane's?! Haha okay cool meet you two there byyyeeeee!!!!" Jay says quickly before summoning his own dragon and flying down.

Zane looks at you and summons his dragon. "Ready?" He asks you holding out his titanium hand for you. "I've never been on a dragon before so take it easy." You say taking his hand and he helps you on his dragon. "It is actually quite enjoyable! But I will impede my dragon." He says and steadily takes it down. You wrap your arms around his torso to keep yourself from falling.

Zane was right though, it was amazing! Feeling the wind in your face and everything! You felt the tingling again and you wondered if it was because of air pressure or maybe..tension? "We're almost there! Are you alright back there?" Zane says. "Yes!" You tell him, wondering what the expressions on his face would be like. Eventually his dragon safely lands on the ground and he un-summons it.

Zane landed on his feet just fine but you screamed as you falled. "Hold on Kirstin!" Zane says and catches you right in his arms. The tingling in you only got stronger and you ended up blushing crimson red. Zane looked at you and blinked his eyes a couple times before putting you back down. "My apologies, I-i forgot how high the drop would be once I un-summon my dragon. A-are you okay? I should have-" "I-its alright Zane. Thank you." You say reassuring him.

"Hey! There you two are! So we're gonna spit up to cover more ground. Here's a comms unit Kirstin. We'll leave when we all make it to the ship. Good luck and be careful." Cole said giving you an earpiece and going into the forest. You put it in your ear and look at the entrance of the forest. You sigh with a smile, "Never changed.." "Well these are the only cherry blossoms in Ninjago that bloom in every season." Zane says and you walk with him through them.

"My...father told me that they're in balanced with nature because they've been nurtured and they're at peace...just like my father now.." You told him with a small smile. "I am sorry for the lost of your father...I understand how it feels.." Zane says with a frown. "That's okay. I'm sorry for yours." "It's alright. But, he brought you here?" "Yeah, years ago.." You say and tell zane.

When you finished, "He sounds like a great man." Zane said. "He was." Just then you two heard something move. You two stop and listen. Could it be an alien?! Was this it?! Your first encounter with- an alien. Two green ones showed themselves to you two. Your mouth was open slightly in awe, you just wanted to start writing down facts. "Z-Zane they've got guns." You say realizing that. He nods, probably knowing to be careful with every move.

"Greetings! Ninjago means no ha-" Zane says to them but stops when the pointed their grey and blue guns at you two and zap! You both were frozen and they lifted you two up into the air. What was this?! What sort of technology did they have on that ship?! Why couldn't you move or talk?! "Puny humans! Trying to make peace so your precious planet would stay yours!" One said. "Earth will be ours once we get rid of you!" The other said then threw you two using the energy from the guns and you both unfreeze when you two hit ground.

You two slowly get up and see that they were coming again! Zane's powers appear in his hands and he looks to you. "Run to the ship!" He says and dodges a shot and shoots them with ice. "No! I'm not leaving without you!" You say standing your ground. But one of them try to shoot you but miss just hitting the tree next to you. "Go! Now! Kirstin! I'll hold them back!" Zane tells you again and you nod seeing that you had no other choice.

You leave Zane and run. You tap the button on the comms unit to warn the others. "Guys! Don't talk to the aliens! They've got some sort of weird energy powered weapons that'll freeze you and levitate you! Just make it to the ship!" You say. "Note taken! Thanks Kirstin! I'm almost at the ship I see it ahead of me!" You heard Lloyd in your ear. You see a blast on the other side of the forest and you guess that might be Lloyd.

You see the ship and almost run inside it when you bump into someone. You fall to the ground and rub your head. "Ow! Hey! Wait Jay?!" You say seeing your blue ninja friend rubbing his head as well. "Hehe sorry Kirstin! Where's Zane?" He says helping you back up. "Back there I guess, he defended me from the aliens and told me to just go to the ship." You explain and he nods. "Well c'mon! Let's sneak in and get as many information as possible! Since the others aren't-" "Guys!" Lloyd says running over to you both.

Just then five aliens came out from the ship and blasted their guns at you three. Jay throws you over his back to protect you from a blast and puts you back down. "HEY! DIDN'T YOUR MOTHER EVER TELL YOU NOT TO SHOOT GIRLS!" Jay yells at them before shocking two with his lightning powers. Lloyd dodged a blast then shot his energy balls towards two of them. When they were out you three finally ran inside the ship.

You started with the computer and looked through every slide but it wasn't understandable! "No luck with the computer guys! Check around the ship!" You say and they nod and look around. Just then Cole and Kai came in, "I hate aliens..." Kai complains and you chuckle. "Where's Zane?!" "Right here!" He says as he enters the ship. "Whew! Good everyone's here! Zane can you maybe decipher the language on the computer? Oh and Cole and Kai, look for any weapons." You tell them and they all nod.

"What about us?" Jay asks. "Look for anything they seem to like! Maybe we can use it against them! Or use it to learn about them!" You tell Jay and Lloyd and they nod and go off. You then turn and see how Zane was doing with the computer. He was...fascinating! He typed with such speed and seemed to study, intake information, and understand it all at once. It almost made you dizzy just looking at how fast he worked, it must have been some sort of mode.

Zane then finished and pressed a button making the writing on the screen change to English. "It was not easy but I managed to do it, and look what I found." He says and you look on the screen taking in what you saw. "They are planning to take over the world! And look! In space there's a ship waiting for them." "More like waiting for us. They're going to put people on the mothership!" He says and you're in shock. "That must be where-" you start then stop when the ship gets a blast from outside, making the inside shake. "EVERYONE OUT!!" Cole yells to everyone on the ship and you all run outside.

Whatever energy they were using, they were trying to trap you all in it. The ninja quickly summoned their dragons and you hopped on Zane's and flew away. The flight back to the ship was pretty fast but you guessed that the ninja's adrenaline made them hurry back. You all make it to the ship and land back on deck. "Okay, what'd we find out?!" You ask them. "We found two guns, a bracelet, and some sort of boomerang?" Kai says as him and Cole pull it out.

"We couldn't find anything that they might like." Lloyd says. "What about you two?" Jay asks. "They're going to take humans up to the mother ship in space so they can take earth for itself.." You say and the others gasp. "Yes, and I was able to download their language into my database so if we bump into them, we'll have a better chance at talking next time." Zane says and you nod. "Great work guys! Let's tell Sensei." Cole says and you all go to the bridge to tell Sensei what you all found.

So yes, this chapter takes place in December ;) just saying in advance cause this is gonna be a festive book xD
And I bet you saw a couple words that were big! Well there's gonna be A LOT of it so have a dictionary handy! Lol
And actually the picture of a ship I found is made of Legos so I was like ITS PURFECK XD XD
