'a jet just flew overhead its been here this whole time its cloacked and it just fired something towards the wearhouse. Get out of there!' Vanessa spoke in everyones mind.

I looked back and sure enough something was approaching the wearhouse which I wasn't close to the wearhouse but not far enough.

I took off running, I would look for cover but this is a desert, I'm not liking it so much now.

wait where's Ice last I saw her she was by the wearhouse,I looked back hoping to get a glimpes of her amongs the running agent. one minute I was looking behind me while running the next I was falling.

I grunted when I landed before getting up wincing as a pain came from my ankle. I looked around to see where I fell but all I saw was sand and the sky over head. great I fell in a sand pit, its not as steep since I can reach the edge.

I was about to climb out when I heard and felt the explosion. Startled I lost my grip falling back in only to see sand and parts flying throught the air over head, I ducked instinctly as a peice fell in missing my head by an inch. I guess falling in the sand pit isn't as bad.

I was dodging peices falling in when I saw a glance of a familiar figure soaring thought the air. Ice. I reached up to grab her hand only to be peirced by a peice of glass. I cried out in pain instantly bringing my hand back as Ice dissapeared with the rumble flying overhead.

I hissed in pain as I moved my hand looking at it to see the glass has gone throught my hand my blood coating it. That is going to hurt pulling it out. I dont know how long I was down here hearing things calm down, sand flying everywhere making me sneeze which makes my hand hurt.

'Vanessa' I tried to contact her but I didn't hear a thing.

'Vanessa' I tried again but nothing.

suddenly I was feeling weak.

I leaned against the sand before my legs gave out under me, I blinked looking up only to see a blue like mist coming in.crap cyrum, I started coughing Violently as it filled the small space. Is this how thing will end for me, on my first ever mission.

I was coughing more violently feeling my lungs burning from inhaling the cyrum. I was still coughing when my eye sight started failing me, feeling a warm sticky wet substance on my good hand that I had over my mouth and nose. Even with my failing eyesight I could see it was red. blood.

'Vanessa' I called out weakly before darkness overtook me.

I woke up to an annoying beeping sound like an alarm clock

I groaned, not even my alarm clock is this annoying.

"any alarm clock is annoying" I heard a voice nearby making my eyes snap open.

I winced closing it from the bright light before opening my eyes again letting it adjust. I jumped a little as Vanessa entered my vision but winced at the pressure when my left hand went into a world of pain.

I looked down to see it bandaged. I sighed and opened my mouth to speak only to be reminded that my throat was dry.

"here" Vanessa held me up helping me drink a glass of water.

I drinked satisfied before speaking. "How's everything?" I asked remembering what happened before passing out.

"not so good. Some agents got effected by the explosion most by the cyrum but we managed to get everyone out but there were a few casualties." she sighed.

I thought about how many had to be injected with the anticyrum and probably lost their powers. I then remembered Ice.

"hey wheres-" I was cut off when the door open and Derek, Claranda and the others came in with distraught faces but as soon as they saw me up they hid their surprise with forced smiles. I narrowed my eyes in suspicion, their hiding something.

"hey" Phil came towards me "glad you're alright man" He clapped my back with a forced smile.

"Whydo you all look like something horrible happen and dont even try to hide it I can see it in you're auras" I rolled my eyes as they opened their mouth to deny it.

Lee just sighed. "he should at least know" I couldn't stop the negative thoughts coming into my mind the next even horrible than the last. until I settled on one thing that chilled me to the bone.

"I didn't lose my powers did I?" I asked frantically, thats got to be it I mean the cyrum probably got to me and I lost my powers like Ice. Ice where is-

"no no thats not it" Vanessa waved her hand frantically snapping me out of my thoughts. "you still have all your powers the gas cyrum works in different ways than the liquid, the gas is like a poison that can kill if inhaled too much, it cant get to the source of our powers like the liquid from the bullets."

I sighed in relief but tensed once again. "So whats wrong?" I asked cautiously.

Claranda sighed running her hand throught her hair "Ice is missing."

I froze my blood stopping cold. "what?" I asked still trying to comprehend.

"Ice is missing she was taken, it wasn't until after the explosion when we rescued the agents we noticed" Derek sighed, he looked a few days older.

My mind flashed back when she flew overhead. I could have saved her even if a glass peirced my hand I could have saved her and stopped her from being taken. Its my fault.

"no its not none of us knew what was going to happen" Vanessa tried to reassure me. My feelings didn't change but I let it go.

"Do we know who took her?" I asked them.

"the conquerers and not only do we know who but where" Claranda said bitterly. The conquerers took her? is it possible they want revenge or to finish what they started years ago?

Vanessa's head snapped towards me "she told you?" she spoke softly. I looked at her confused, told me what.

"about her past" Vanessa spoke, she really needs to stay out of other peoples minds but I nodded anyway.

"interesting" she muttered.

"we dont have time to think about it Vanessa we need to get ready to get Ice tonight" Derek spoke.

"Tonight?" It was then I noticed their outfits, all in black their weapons secure.

"how long was I out?" I asked rubbing my temples.

"well for a whole day since the explosion was yesterday" Lee spoke. I nodded, I feel good enough to fight.

"I'm coming with" I told them my mind made up.

"but you still need to recover you cant-"

"dont even bother changing his mind its impossible" Vanessa cut Phil off rolling her eyes.

"just try not to die" She threw something towards me which I caught loooking down at it to see it was one of my guns.

I smirked getting up before another thought got to me. Its not so hot so we cant be in Texas anymore.

"where are we?" I asked and stared as shadows passed over their faces.

"Montanna" Derek mumbled.

My eyes widenned. "you mean-"

"where it all really began, where Ice or Crystalline lived, where Ice was born"

I would say about five chapters left before this book ends.
