Chapter 64
"I'll be with you until the end of the line, friend" said Captain America on the television, Mia and Dotty were sitting on the couch in front of the television that their father had put in the basement, they had always been told that they should not enter that room in the house without having finished their responsibilities, but they just got up at that time to watch Marvel movies instead of doing their homework.
"I can't believe that after everything he did for him he decided to leave him alone at the end." Dotty said referring to the movie, Mia wiped away some tears that had started to fall and nodded, but the cries of the twins running in her direction, because of course if the older sisters got up to watch a movie the little ones had to go with them, they were interrupted.
"Mia! Mia! There are ghosts in the house!" Sophia yelled as she climbed into the omega's arms.
"Of course there are no ghosts," she assured with a smile, Dotty paused the movie and took Molly into her arms.
"Ghosts don't exist, girls." She said and looked at her older sister, who seemed a little scared too, "I'm sure..." And before she could finish the sentence several sounds reached her ears.
Groans from somewhere in the room made their skin crawl, and they all immediately stood up.
"See! We told you there are ghosts." Molly said.
"Damn..." Said a male voice with a certain Irish accent that the four of them managed to identify.
"Is that..."
"Uncle Niall?" Dotty interrupted.
Mia looked down and noticed something uneven on the carpet. A perfect square in the corner of the basement. She walked there with small, silent steps under the watchful eye of her sisters.
"Fizz... what are you doing?"
The omega buried the tips of her fingers where the carpet divided and gently lifted the small door, she came across some metal stairs that led to a dark room, the floor was light grey, it seemed to be just cement, and it was full of dust. She could not understand how they had never noticed that detail, it was true that the basement had been adapted to be a games room until a few years ago, but that door was only there, in view of anyone who passed by more than five minutes on the spot.
Not giving too much thought to what they might find downstairs, they all headed for the stairs, Dotty taking a quick glance at the door to make sure no one had seen them, and finally they went downstairs. The image in front of them was something they had never imagined, her brother next to their uncles tied to chairs facing each other, their bodies covered in blood and their shirts torn.
"Lou? Nini? Zee?" Mia asked in alarm, running towards the three bound men. Niall kept his gaze on the ground, he knew exactly what it would cause a child to see him in that state and he preferred to spare them that trauma.
"What are you doing here?" Louis asked somewhat scared, his voice sounding rasper than usual due to the lack of hydration in his body and the amount of screaming that had come from his lips in the last five days. He watched as his other three sisters rushed towards them to untie them, the scents of frightened omegas filling the basement and mingling with the men's nerves and anger.
"The real question is what are you doing here, why are you tied up?" Dotty muttered, untying Niall, the younger alpha could feel the tears gathering in the omega's eyes seeing them like that. But he didn't say anything, he couldn't.
"Where's your father?" Zayn said as soon as he felt his wrists free of ties, helping Sophia untie his ankles, Dotty shrugged, shaking from head to toe.
"I don't know, he went out very late at night with his friend and they haven't come back." Louis couldn't help but sigh with relief, he felt the tension leave his body, at least he wouldn't have to see that bastard's face before to go; he approached his younger sisters and crouched down at his height so he could talk to them.
"Listen, we need you to grab your essentials and get out of here with Mom, okay? Charles is crazy and I don't want you here another minute, I can't leave you here with that alpha."
"But Lou... what are we going to tell dad? He's going to worry a lot." Sophia asked without understanding anything, Louis got closer to her and gently took her by the shoulders.
"We're not going to tell him anything, Sophie, we have to run away, like in an adventure" her older brother told her and she nodded, now excited. Louis couldn't help but gently caress his sister's cheek, that innocence that only a child can have reminded him of his little River.
"I like adventures with you, Lou!" The girl exclaimed with excitement vibrating through her whole body and she ran towards the stairs in a hurry to pack her things before leaving.
The first place Louis went to was the one he remembered, it was his parents' room. And he confirmed it when the first thing he saw upon entering was her mother comfortably asleep, without even thinking that her son had been locked up under the house all that time, being cruelly tortured by his father.
"Mom," the alpha whispered softly, moving the older omega ever so slightly, "Mom, wake up."
"Louis, what's wrong, sweetie?" The older one whispered softly, opening her eyes little by little, until in front of her, the image of her firstborn covered in blood made her sit up suddenly. "What are you doing here? What happened to you?"
The omega brought her hands to her puppy's face and caressed it very gently, taking care not to hurt it.
"We need to leave now, please, I'll explain it to you on the way, I..."
"Louis, I need you to tell me what you're doing here, and all hurt, love. You're scaring me."
And at that moment the image of Zayn approaching the door while he was trying to support Niall was present; Lillibeth didn't know if she was comforted to see the three of them being well or if she was more alarmed by the fact that the three of them were in her house at this time in the morning.
"Tomlinson kidnapped all three of us, along with his famous friend or associate or whatever, oh, they also murdered most of our staff, if not everyone. But that's not relevant right now because I need to get Niall to the hospital before..." Tears stopped her from going on. Niall, for his part, was just trying to fight to get the air into his lungs and his legs to support his weight.
"No... I don't..."
"Mom, tell me what you need to find him quickly and go, I also need to send a message to Harry, let him know we're okay." He spoke quickly as he held his mother's face with both hands. She nodded and stood up.
"Everything is in a suitcase in the closet, I keep the most important things there along with some memories." Louis nodded and went to the closet, he took the things his mother told him and she made sure the girls were ready. For his part, Zayn tried to help Niall with basic care, cleaning some of the blood from his face and locating the deeper wounds to make sure there wasn't any bleeding.
He was more afraid than ever, he felt lost, but he had to be strong for Niall, he had to make sure he was okay first, then they would figure everything else out.
Louis entered that room at the end of the hall that he once called his own, he could still see some blue paint on the bottom of the door because he once tried to paint a star there, so everyone would know that this was his room. The first thing he saw when he opened the door were his maths Olympiad trophies, soccer medals, and even an award from the music academy where he had taken piano lessons.
He sat on his bed, passing his hand gently over the sheets, clean and perfectly laid out in that little bed that witnessed his sleeplessness so many nights, those dreams he had as a child, where he found that little omega from the fair and he threw himself into his arms, dreams where he thought of the great father he would be for his puppies. And if he paid a little more attention, he could almost see himself, more than fifteen years ago, playing on the floor on his coloured rug, playing with some cars that they had bought for him; he could see himself on his desk doing his maths homework, fantasising about one day being a worthy alpha like his father was.
What a terrible lie he had lived, and he could see it at that moment, covered in blood because of the same alpha that gave him life, the same alpha that he thought was a good father, and it turned out to be the opposite. He looked to the side of him, and on his nightstand he came across a photograph of him with his mother and Dotty, the three of them in his parents' bed the day his sister had come home from the hospital after the birth. There he looked happy, carefully hugging his mother and looking fascinated at his sister, thinking of a future where he would teach his little sister to play soccer. Dream that never came true.
He wiped away his tears and hugged the photograph tightly against his chest, wanting to enter it, to relive that moment in which childish innocence protected him from the pain he felt upon learning the truth about his family. Longing for the feeling of happiness that his ignorance gave him, wishing he could give everything he didn't have to his cubs.
And suddenly, the noise of a helicopter hovering over the house reached Louis's ears. He left the photograph on the nightstand and left the room, the scent of his omega reaching his nostrils, his ears immediately picking up the melodious voice of him shouting orders from him. The alpha ran down the stairs to the living room, seeing his omega with one hand on his waist and the other holding a gun, ready to face any inconvenience that might come his way, and his sweet smell, despite being that of an omega, he commanded respect, even fear, and the simple image of his omega leading all that operation made his heart race inside his chest and his alpha a little more proud to be able to call that omega his.
"You know you have strict orders not to harm Lillibeth or her four daughters! Any other alpha you don't recognize, shoot without asking." He yelled with a frown, until his alpha's scent reached him "LOU!"
And like in a romantic movie, everything around him began to move in slow motion. They both stood in the midst of all the chaos, staring into each other's eyes, still not believing that they had met again. Harry threw his gun to the ground and ran to his alpha as fast as he could, grabbing his face and studying his eyes for a few seconds before locking his lips in a needy kiss. The omega couldn't resist jumping into his alpha's arms and wrapped his legs around his waist, clutching his arms around his neck with all his might until Louis groaned in pain. .
"Look at you, you're so hurt, I'll get you taken care of right away, whoever hurt them is going to pay, I swear so..."
"Hazza, we have to go now, you can come back at any time." The older man interrupted him, the omega got down from his alpha's arms and nodded, watching the others go down together with the Tomlinsons.
His heart skipped a beat as he saw Niall walking with them, he was limping a little and holding onto his ribs, but he was alive. His eyes filled with tears, he couldn't believe it; he wanted to run to hug him, but seeing him so badly injured he knew that it was best to wait for someone to attend to him. He wiped his tears away with his sleeve and moved closer to him.
"Ni, you're alive!" He yelled happily, the alpha smiled ruefully at him, a smile that looked more like a wince than a happy one.
"I wish I wasn't, but I have an omega and a son to take care of." He said slowly, as if every word that left his lips hurt, but Niall had never spoken so honestly.
Harry made a sad face, but didn't say anything until Zayn hugged him tight, all with a small, grateful smile.
"I knew I could always trust you, wonder boy." He whispered in his ear, squeezing him tighter before he had to let go.
They all mobilised and left the house before anything else happened, leaving behind them an empty and messy house.

The April chill covered the city in a huge cloud of mist, and the overcast sky threatened a thunderstorm at any minute. The whole city was in curfew, the lights were kept off and the doors closed while four black vans advanced through the streets of London, the four horsemen of the Apocalypse arrived at their home with looks full of hatred and silences that planned revenge.
One by one they entered the property, then stopped right in front of the huge gate of Icarus Rose's mansion. Zayn was the first to go down, his white shirt painted with that crimson liquid that he had already dried, his face full of bruises and cuts everywhere, but his gaze fixed on a single target; Louis was the next to go down, offering his hand to his omega to come down after him, his clothes were covered in dust and blood, his face swollen and with several cuts, but he kept his head up; Niall finally got down with Liam's help, he had more than one broken rib and his face was almost disfigured from all the blows he had received, but he was advancing by himself to the entrance of his house.
The cold lifeless bodies lay on the floors of the house, the blood had already stained all the carpets and had left marks all over the wood. Zayn walked over to the front door next to his alpha and tried to open the door, but something on the other side was preventing it from opening fully, Liam walked over to it and kicked it open, and they all entered.
Their gazes were fixed in one place, the stairs. Without saying anything, they all went up, they knew exactly where they would go, they had to end everything where it started.
Louis opened the door and they all walked in, Zayn walked straight to the chair behind the desk, the king had come to his throne. They all stood in front of him and looked at him with serious faces.
"So... what are we going to do now Mr. Malik?" Liam asked.
Zayn looked up and smirked.
"We are going to show them who we really are."

Calder had given them strict orders to keep a close eye on that omega child, despite the fact that Edmund had already been with them for a while, they weren't going to miss the opportunity to get a little more money.
At the same time, Kasper had already found out quite a bit about the boy his son swore was his omega, and even though he still hadn't figured out why Edmund had abandoned them, he admitted that not having an alpha present made it easier for him, because he would have no obstacles in one day taking them to live in his house.
"I still don't understand why we're still standing here looking at the omega when we could have taken it out of the school and taken him with us." snorted Davis, one of the alphas who was outside the school keeping an eye on Harry, who in turn was sitting on the ground, playing at the tea party with his friends.
"Strict orders from the boss, you know how he gets with his new merchandise." They both looked at the little boy, with dirt on his cheeks and laughing uproariously. So.
"And the smaller they are, the easier they are to mould," his partner agreed, but his chat was interrupted by a pair of alphas with serious expressions.
They were both wearing expensive black suits, their shoes were shiny, and unlike the two sitting alphas, they did look like gangsters. But what stood out the most was that well-known rose ring on her fingers, the cold silver in which they had voluntarily bled as a sign of loyalty by wrapping her fingers.
"You shouldn't talk about a child like that." began the man, one of the alphas, "in fact, you shouldn't be here."
"And would you know who you are to tell me what I can and can't do?" Evans smiled.
"Isn't that clear to you yet?" He tugged at the sleeve of his coat just to show the ring on his hand. Davis snorted with feigned bravado, but shifted his gaze to his partner, who already had his hand on the gun at his belt.
"I would recommend you not to do anything, there are children nearby and we don't want them to be scared." Said Baker, the other alpha of Icarus Rose, "get up."
Meanwhile on the other side was the little omega with curly hair and green eyes, he had turned around to serve his friends tea, but the four men who were talking caught his attention. He watched intently as two of them stood up and as the other two pushed them in the direction of a huge black pickup truck, they were roughly shoved into the back seats of it and got in before driving away.
"Hazz, the tea!" An elf he was playing with complained, the omega nodded and they continued playing.

The four alphas entered Kasper Malik's lavish office, two of them being pushed toward her with pistols strapped to their temples, salty sweat dripping down their skins from the barrel of their weapons.
"These men were watching young Louis's boy, Mr. Malik," Evans said as soon as they stepped foot into the office, throwing Calder's alphas to the ground.
"M-Mr. Malik." Davis muttered, his body shaking violently and his scent betraying how nervous he felt at that moment.
"What were you doing at the boy's school? Who sent you to watch there?" Malik questioned them, playing with a dagger between his fingers and looking at it, almost ignoring the presence of the two alphas who did not belong to the house.
"Answer the boss," Baker demanded, kicking one of the alphas in the ribs.
"Calder has sent us to keep an eye on the child, sir," replied the wounded man, gasping in pain. Kasper nodded, finally turning his gaze to the intruders.
At what point would Calder understand that this was his territory and he had to stay in America?
"If you don't mind my asking," he began, as if they weren't the ones dousing his carpet with their scare pheromones, "Who the fuck gave Calder permission to trespass on MY territory?
He buried the dagger in his desk and walked around it, heading towards the invading alphas and grabbing both of their shirt collars. His pheromones were dominant, and anyone passing by would drop to their knees when intimidated by it, even alphas would give in to Kasper Malik.
"I want to make this very clear to you, you filthy rats, and I need you to listen to me carefully" he said and threw them back to the ground, putting his foot on the throat of one of them, looking so pathetic under his shoe; just like the rest of the world. "I don't want you on my turf, watching over that little omega, I don't even want your shoe dust on my property, or not only their heads will roll, but the Calder family's as well , understood?"
Both alphas nodded fearfully, hoping Malik would spare their lives. But if something characterised Icarus Rose, it was that they never forgive.
"Murder them, and anyone lurking around Harry, understand?" He ordered and his guards nodded. "Oh, and send the details to my good friend Killian, I'm sure he'll appreciate it."
And in less than two hours, the heads of Killian Calder's dead guards were on his driveway, accompanied by two white roses and a note.
The next one will be you if you don't get out of my way. I.R
