Chapter 50

"Dammit, we're running late," the grey-eyed alpha complained as he got out of bed, his body still completely naked from the night before, he went to his closet and grabbed two white shirts and two different-coloured suits. and threw them on the bed. "Aaron, get up, they're not going to wait for us, it's the first time you're going to meet with the bosses." He began to move the alpha until he opened his eyes and let out a hoarse groan.

"Okay, okay, I'm going to get up now." Aaron stood up and they both got dressed quickly, and in less than five minutes they were already inside the car with an apple each in hand, since they didn't have time to have any proper breakfast in such a short time.

The trip to Doncaster lasted three hours, in which both alphas reviewed exactly what they would say once they met with their bosses. Aaron was afraid that they would not have the same thoughts as him and that his plan would not fulfil that revenge that he had desired so much, but one way or another it was about to arrive, there was no turning back.

An omega greeted them at the door with a huge smile on her face, she told them that her husband was waiting for them in his office and asked them to accompany her. There was a knock on the door and after a "pass" the three entered the office, meeting two elderly alphas wearing black suits.

"Until they finally deign to come," one exclaimed as he rose from his seat.

"Sorry, there was a lot more traffic than we anticipated, but we're here now, so lets get to work," King said.

"So you're the our man from the inside," the alpha who hadn't spoken began, "it must have been hard to pretend you had your loyalty to them."

"Not really, I just did what I was told like any employee, until I decided it was enough and I contacted you." Stone's voice was serious, he had no idea who he was talking to and that terrified him. But he had to keep his composure.

"Well, we hope you'll still have that kind of thinking about us when we get rid of Icarus Rose completely, but now I want you to tell me a little about the three crowns."

The omega was walking in the direction of the kitchen ready to prepare four cups of tea for the guests that her husband had, but the screams of her daughters on the second floor made her stop to make sure everything was in order. She went up the stairs and opened the door to her youngest daughters' room.

"Girls, what do you think you're doing?" She asked as she watched both girls throw shoes from one side of the room to the other, "I told you that your father had an important business meeting and that you couldn't make noise, so please be quiet."

"Sorry, Mom," they said at the same time and looked down at the ground.

"Go with your sisters and don't make noise." After making sure that both girls were in charge of her older sisters, she went downstairs again and went to prepare the tea.

She put the four cups on a silver tray and went to her husband's office, greeting some of the omegas who helped her with the cleaning of the home, and before arriving she could hear that they were talking and curiosity filled her being, so he approached silently and put his ear to the wood of the door.

"Tell us about Tomlinson," said one of the alphas.

"Well, I don't have much to say about him except that he's quite an intimidating alpha when he wants to, plus he's expecting a child and is engaged to his omega," Aaron spoke.

"Is he expecting a child?" The alpha exclaimed, annoyed, "It's an aberration!"

"Why didn't you tell us before?" The other alpha questioned.

"I... It's just that his omega... I have a history with him," King confessed, earning the look of the green-eyed alpha, "when I was in college I met an omega with green eyes and curly hair named Styles, but when Aar... When Stone told me that Tomlinson's omega was Harry Styles, I just couldn't tell you, I'm sorry." The alpha's gaze fixed on King's eyes with a certain nostalgia and curiosity to know more.

"So you met Harry?" He questioned with a softer tone of voice. And King nodded somewhat embarrassed and afraid that they were going to do something to him because he knew the position that the other alpha had on the relationship between two men. "He... He is my son, I am Edmund Styles."

King's heart stopped for a few seconds, memories of what Harry had told him when they were together about his father and how he had abandoned them because he was an omega man clouded his mind.

"We have to focus on the main topic," the other alpha interrupted before they continued the conversation. "I don't care about your filthy past with that omega, you're here to tell me about Louis Tomlinson."

Her chest was beginning to ache, Louis Tomlinson, her husband's words resounded through her mind like a distant echo. It was the name of her son, the same son who had believed dead for more than fifteen years thanks to her husband... to her alpha... he had lied to her, he had made her believe that her little one was dead, but she already knew that it wasn't like that. She knew it, and now she has confirmed it.

A tear slipped down the omega's cheek, opening a wound that he thought he had closed many years ago, but she hid her sadness, she hid her anger, she would not allow Charles to feel it and realise what she had heard.

She turned around and walked back the same way she had taken, leaving the tray on the kitchen table and running up the stairs as fast as she could.

Louis's name wasn't the only one that had seemed familiar.

With her trembling hands she took out the key that hung from a necklace around her neck and opened the lock on the door of that room where she went once a week. She ran to the closet and knelt down in front of it, a long time ago she had hidden a notebook with numbers of people she knew throughout her life and who she did not want Charles to see, because she knew perfectly well that he would take it away and get rid of it and the only place she knew that the alpha never entered was Louis's room.

She took out several boxes while periodically wiping the tears from her cheeks, she moved things that belonged to her little boy and finally, at the bottom of everything she found it. Her daughters had felt the presence of her mother near them,. and they approached her worried when they saw what the omega was doing.

"Mother?" The older one called as she felt her two younger sisters running past her, "what's wrong? Are you OK?"

The omega ignored the words of her daughter and began to leaf through that notebook, she was sure that she had the number written down somewhere, she remembered it perfectly.

"Sophie, look at all these toys!" Molly exclaimed happily as her twin sister came up to kneel beside her.

"Girls, stop that, it's not ours," Mia scolded taking a small wooden plane from one of her sisters. Dotty for her part approached her mother and put her arms around her shoulders.

Lillibeth searched endlessly among each of the names, until she finally reached the S, and it didn't take her long to find the last name Styles among all those names.

"I need a phone," she said, and Dotty gave her hers.

"What's happening mom?" The omega began to type the number of that omega she had known many years ago, hoping that she still had the same number.

"Close the door, please Mia," Lillibeth asked, and her daughter closed it immediately. The phone rang about three times and a voice answered.

"Hello?"

"Is that Jane Styles?" The omega asked quickly.

"Yes, she talks, who is this?"

"I'm Elizabeth Tomlinson, I don't know if you remember me, we met a long time ago, but I need us to meet to talk, it has to do with our children," the omega spoke with fear, she knew that her husband could come up at any second and discover what what she was doing, and she didn't know what he would be able to do to her.

"Of course I remember you Lillibeth... what's wrong with our..." The omega was silent for a few seconds. Why was Louis's mother talking to her after all this time? What had happened? "Wait, Elizabeth Tomlinson?"

"Yes, many years ago we met at a fair, our children rode the Ferris wheel and I think they met again... Listen, I don't have much time, can we meet? Are you available to meet now?"

"Sure, I'll give you the address," the omega on the other end of the phone dictated and Lillibeth wrote down with trembling hands and they hung up just a few seconds later.

"Mom, what's going on?"Why are you crying?" Dotty asked, taking the phone from her.

"I need to go to Holmes Chapel in an emergency, are you coming with me or are you staying?" She asked and the older ones looked at each other.

"We're going with you, you're shaking, mom," Mia replied and Lillibeth nodded.

"We are going to explore?" Molly asked excitedly, Lillibeth nodded and the five of them left Louis's room, but not before putting everything where it was before.

Lillibeth knocked on the office door and a pass from Charles told her that she could come in, she peeked through the door and smiled, pretending nothing was wrong.

"Charles, honey, I have to go to Cheshire urgently, my mother called saying they need me there, okay? I'll take the girls so they don't bother you." Charles nodded without giving much importance. "I'll be back at dawn."

She closed the door and took the car keys, her daughters got in and they started the hour-long drive to Jane's house. Lillibeth was nervous, her hands were sweating on the steering wheel and she felt like she was going to collapse at any moment, Dotty was looking at her from the passenger seat and Mia in the mirror, the twins didn't even know what was happening, but they were very calm due to the smell to his mother's nerves.

Finally they entered Holmes Chapel, that picturesque town that had not set foot in more than a decade, there it was again.

"Excuse me, could you tell me where this street is? I'm looking for Jane Styles," the man who had been asked for directions widened his eyes in surprise.

"Sure I could tell you, but be careful with that lady," he said in a whisper, as if it were a secret.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, it's none of my business, but it is said that her youngest son was marked by an alpha of the mafia, every weekend huge and expensive vans come to pick her up, sometimes even patrolling outside her house, they come to visit her, and that family since the alpha left the house because he was having financial difficulties, but now the three of them wear very expensive clothes and accessories," the man recounted.

"I asked you where this street is, it's an emergency," Lillibeth repeated and the beta indicated where she was.

She drove just a few minutes by the time she was out of that house, it wasn't as big as hers, but it seemed cosy. She got out together with her daughters and before knocking on the door a thought crossed her mind.

This woman was surrounded by rumours that they were involved with the mafia, what if Louis had ended up surrounding himself with these people? She had probably endangered her daughters by bringing them here, but since they were at Jane Styles's door, she had no turning back.

She rang her doorbell and the same woman from years ago opened the door for her. She looked a little older than her last time, but her eyes and smile were the same.

"Lillibeth! It's a pleasure to see you again after so many years, and I see that the little ones are already quite big, please come in." She stepped aside and the Tomlinsons went by, looking around the place.

There were pictures everywhere, it was warm, and it smelled like fresh food.

"You can go wherever you want to play, girls, your mother and I need to talk about something important," Jane offered and the twins nodded excitedly before running up the stairs. "I'll make some tea."

The girls entered the first room they saw and began to explore, followed by Dotty and Mia, the two omegas noticed that familiar smell as soon as they entered the room. Molly threw herself on the bed and buried her face in the left pillow, sniffed a little and looked at her sisters, surprised.

"Mia, Dotty, Sophie, look, it smells good!" She said excitedly and passed them the pillow.

"Molly, don't mess things up," the older one scolded her, but she still took the pillow.

Rain with tobacco, why did that scent seem so familiar? Then she remembered that little boy who used to hug her when she felt sad.

That was his scent.

"This shirt smells the same!" Dotty also took the shirt that was on the floor and sniffed it, then she passed it to Mia and without saying anything, they understood everything.

"I want to show mommy!" Sophia yelled excitedly and snatched Mia's shirt, running down the stairs.

Her mother was in front of a photo of two small children embracing in front of the Ferris wheel, tears in her eyes.

"Mommy, look, it smells delicious!" Sophia yelled at him and gave him her shirt, Lillibeth didn't even have to bring the shirt up to her nose to acknowledge it.

It was the smell of her son, mixed with tobacco, the tears began to roll uncontrollably down her cheeks and she stuck that shirt to her face.

"My puppy met Louis because they offered him to work as a bodyguard with them," Jane muttered, entering the room with a tray of tea in her hands. Lillibeth looked at her, still holding her shirt tight between her hands and her face. "My little Harry, he was pretending to be a beta, can you believe it? But eventually Louis found out the truth and they bonded, and look." She took a white picture frame from the coffee table and passed it to Lillibeth.

In this were two men, a brunette alpha with blue eyes next to an omega with curly hair and green eyes, the omega was already marked and the alpha hugged him affectionately, both laughed and the love they had for each other was noticeable, the omega was not looking at the camera directly, he was looking at the alpha with such devotion. It was her Louis, her little pup with his omega.

And next to this photo, there was an ultrasound, a strip with three shots showing a baby barely nine weeks old, Lillibeth sobbed and turned it over. "To the best granny, we love you. -Harry, Louis and baby."

"Then it is true that he is expecting a pup," Lillibeth murmured, and Jane nodded.

"Do you remember what Louis said that day? That he felt in his chest that my Harry was his omega," remembered Jane and Lillibeth nodded this time, "it seems to be true, they look at each other with so much love, Lillibeth, since your son walked through that door the first time, I knew he was a great alpha, then he came back but now holding my puppy by the hand, and I confirmed it, your son is a great man, Lillibeth." The omega sobbed and hugged the other omega, who held her firmly against her body.

"Louis?" Dotty asked, both women looking at her. "But Louis is dead."

"That was a lie from your father, Dotty, your brother is alive," she declared, and Dotty's eyes filled with tears.

"Don't you want to go visit him? A van is always available for when I want to visit them, although I have to warn you, if you accept Louis back into your life, you will gain another five wonderful children, Niall is the most expressive of all," Jane said with affection in her voice, Lillibeth nodded and held out the photo. "Oh no no, keep it, after all, you are also the grandmother."

Lillibeth thanked her and Jane called the car, she was going to see her son after so many years, and the only thing she asked was to be accepted back.
