Bad Ending - TamaSou
A rewrite of the bad ending I had written before for Märchen Dream. Tamaki and Sogo's at least.
- - -
Why didn't he pay attention instead of exploring the castle. If he had, Sogo wouldn't of been suddenly abducted. Regardless, the wolf was determined to find red riding hood before anything could happen to him. Luckily he could track his scent.
Tamaki ran down the front stairs of the castle, hoping that he didn't lose the trail anytime soon. But he was stopped by someone suddenly grabbing his arm causing him to immediately turn around. He didn't have time for any interferences. The more time he wasted the higher the chances were that he'd lose Sogo's scent.
"What's your hurry wolf?" the man who had grabbed him asked. He looks rather strange, he had a mask on one side of his face.
"Who are you.."
"Just call me Dracula. Just like Frakenstein I won't tell you my actual name" Dracula smirked. "Now you haven't answered my question"
"I need to find So-chan! So let go!" Tamaki replied, pulling his arm away from Dracula. "I don't want anything to do with you..since you seem to be on the same side as that guy..Frakenstein"
"You're right about that. But I'm sure you will be on our side soon enough"
"If you think I'd betray So-chan then think again! I'll always be by his side, no matter what!"
"Oh? We'll see about that now won't we..Anyways you better hurry up or you'll lose Red Riding Hood's scent. Bye bye, wolf" Dracula smirked before walking up the stairs.
These people were really starting to annoy him. What did he mean by 'we'll see about that'. There was no way he'd ever betray Sogo. He was the first human to accept him for who he was. A wolf. Compared to everyone else who either tried to hunt him down and kill him or be too scared to even go close to him. But Sogo wasn't like them. Neither was the friends they had met.
Shaking his head, Tamaki put his focus back to the task at hand. Finding Sogo. He sniffed around a bit trying to find the scent trail again. Once he had, he began running again, heading toward the forest.
. . .
Sogo groaned as he woke up, he didn't remember much of what happened before he got knocked unconscious by someone. Just that he had been at the ball he and others had gone to with Mitsuki. He had danced a bit with Tamaki before they went off to explore. The wolf had gotten ahead of him, before he could call out to him to slow down, someone had grabbed him. Of course he had attempted to get free by they had knocked him out.
Now that he was fully awake now, Sogo took notice that he wasn't in the castle anymore. Instead he was in a strange room, laying on a table. As he sat up, he took in his surroundings. There was various tables that were covered in papers, some vials and beakers. A few bookcases full of many books, what they were about, he didn't know.
"So you finally woke up"
He immediately glanced over to his right to see a tall brunette man holding a beaker and a vial. Was he the person who had grabbed him and knocked him out?
"Who are you and what do you want?"
"Just call me Frankenstein. As for what I want, well, I want your world. Well, the world you originally came from that is! Also to prevent you from getting your happy ending, Red Riding Hood.."
"Is that so? Unfortunately I won't let either of those things happen..!" Sogo said, reaching down and grabbing his basket digging through it. "Huh..? Where is it?!"
"Looking for that knife you had in your basket? I already took it away, you won't be needing it after all" Frankenstein stated, setting the beaker and vial down. "I'm a step ahead of you this time" he continued, turning around to face Sogo.
This man..there was no way his actual name was Frakenstein, Sogo could tell that immediately. But it was doubtful he'd reveal his actual name, why would he. He could also tell that Frakenstein must have something planned, why else would he of brought him to wherever it is they were currently. Perhaps he had planned on separating Sogo from Tamaki.
"You seem like a smart person Red Riding Hood, can you take a guess as to why you're here?"
"..You waited for Tamaki-kun to be far enough away from me so he wouldn't notice you capturing me. Then you brought me here..you probably also know Tamaki-kun is trying to find me right now.."
"And your conclusion is?"
"You're trying to lure Tamaki-kun into a trap..?"
"Yep! Now then, please follow me, don't try to run either, you won't get far" Frakenstein smiled, grabbing Sogo's handing and pulling him off the table.
Since he didn't have much of a choice, especially now that he didn't have his weapon anymore, Sogo willingly followed Frakenstein. He did pulled is hand away instantly though, he didn't want to hold hands with his captor.
They walked quietly through the castle, going through a few halls and passing many doors. Sogo wasn't interested in what was in the rooms, all he wanted to do is escape. Or at least find a way to warn Tamaki. Unfortunately there was no way either of those things would happen. Frakenstein would make sure of that.
Eventually they stopped, Frankenstein looked back and smiled at Sogo before opening the door. Without having a chance to react, Sogo was shoved into the door and the door slammed shut. Immediately he rushed over and tried to open the door, but it was locked.
"Don't worry, you won't be alone for very long. I have to go greet the wolf now, so be a good boy and don't try to escape, okay?"
"He won't fall for any of your tricks!" Sogo exclaimed.
He could hear the brunette chuckle. "Oh we'll see about that. Trust me..we will see.."
Sogo sighed as he walked away from the door. He was now trap in a rather fancy bedroom. It was fitting for a place like this. With many rooms, hallways dimly lit by only candles. He couldn't tell if he was in a kind of mansion or a castle. Either way, he'd probably get lost if he had tried to escape. Walking over to the window he took note that he wasn't on the ground floor. Trying to escape via the window wouldn't be ideal.
"..I'm better off waiting here..besides it doesn't look like there's enough material in this room to even climb down to reach ground..Frakenstein seems to of thought this out pretty well.." Sogo muttered to himself. "Tamaki-kun, please be safe.."
. . .
Tamaki huffed as he approached a old looking castle. It looked gloomy and dark inside. He was starting to wish Sogo was there with him, he hated the dark. But since he wanted to save Sogo, he tried his best to be brave. So he entered the castle with caution. Who knows what was waiting for him.
The castle wasn't as big as the one they were at before, but since it was dimly lit, it was a little hard to tell where he was going. So Tamaki made sure to keep his hand on the wall to help guide him. Plus he still had Sogo's scent to help as well.
"Welcome wolf, I've been waiting for you.."
The wolf jumped, turning around to see a brunette man walk out of the shadows holding a candle. Although he felt scared, he kept up his brave act, glaring at the man in an attempt to intimate him. Which was failing, the man was completely unphased.
"Give So-chan back!!"
"My, you've learned more human language I see. I suppose Red Riding Hood taught you well. You want him back right? Then follow me, I'll bring you to him" Frankenstein smiled, walking past Tamaki. "Come along!"
He knew he shouldn't trust him. They had met before right after he and Sogo had ran away from the village. This man had threatened Sogo's safety. If he did anything to hurt him, he wouldn't hold back on getting pay back. Even if Sogo scolded him for doing so afterwards.
Regardless, he followed Frankenstein in hopes of getting Sogo back and away from him. It was better than searching every room in the castle.
If only he had known it was a trap..
"We're here!" Frankenstein said cheerfully, opening the door to the room Sogo had originally woken up in. He glanced back to see the unhappy look of Tamaki.
"Where is he..no one is in here.." Tamaki growlled. He had no time for games. "Tell me where he is!"
"Calm down now wolf. You'll have plenty of time to unleash that anger of yours. But not towards me, no no..I wasn't expecting you to follow me so willingly though. You may of learned a bit from Red Riding Hood, but you're still quite gullible!"
"Shut up!!" Tamaki shouted, lunging toward the brunette.
The taller man stepped aside and watch Tamaki crash to the floor, laughing at his attempt. "You missed~ Enough games though, Tenn, it's your turn!"
"Huh?!"
Emerging from the shadows was a shorter boy, he had pale pink hair, demon wings and a tail. Where did he come from? He didn't see anyone in the room before. What was with these people and hiding in shadows.
"You owe me Ryuu, I should be keeping an eye on Snow White but instead I'm having to help you. Seriously can't you handle these things in your own?"
"Come on Tenn, you already recaptured him! You can spare a few minutes. Now hurry up and use your magic to control him!"
Ryuu? Was that his real name? What did he mean control him?!
"Control?!"
"Quiet wolf, there's really no point in you trying to resist.." Tenn said, lifting up his wand. "True loves kiss won't break this spell. You'll have to make sure your target doesn't try to get him to remember how he once was. If he does, the spell will be undone"
"Right right. I'm really not one for magic but this is the easiest way to get him to turn against Red Riding Hood"
"Whatever..now let me focus! Also restrain the wolf, I need him to stay in place" the witch ordered, to which Ryuu obliged. Grabbing Tamaki and holding him in place.
"What?!" Tamaki shouted, struggling in Ryuu's grasp.
He had to get free, he couldn't let them control him. But his efforts weren't enough. Tenn casted his spell and in just a minute Tamaki stopped struggling. Ryuu let go of the wolf who simply looked between him and Tenn. His eyes looked dull now, compared to how they were before, burning with anger.
"If that's all, I'm taking my leave now, remember what I said!" With that said, Tenn opened the window and hopped out, flying back toward his home to deal with his target.
"Right then, time for your job! Follow me, wolf"
. . .
Sogo stood up when he heard the door open. Was Frakenstein back already? Did that mean he captured Tamaki too?
"Hello Red Riding Hood, I brought you a friend!" Frakenstein announced, moving aside as Tamaki walked into the room. Immediately he could tell something was wrong. Tamaki's eyes looked dull and he hadn't even rushed over to ensure Sogo was safe. Whenever they had gotten separated, he'd always run over and hug him.
"Remember wolf, you're job is to make sure he doesn't leave. Now have fun you two!" Frakenstein said, closing the door and of course, locking it again.
"Tamaki-kun-"
"Shut up"
"What..? Tamaki-kun what's wrong, you're acting different. Did Frankenstein do something to you?"
"I said shut up!" Tamaki yelled, shoving Sogo to the ground. "Don't act like you care!"
"What do you mean?! I've always cared about you!"
"Liar!" Tamaki shouted, grabbing Sogo and throwing him onto the bed. "Just shut up and bound stay there! Don't even move or say anything! If you do you'll regret it"
Sogo winced, turning his head slightly so he could look back at Tamaki. The wolf looked angry. What was going on? Why was he acting like this? Just what did Frankenstein do..
Sighing quietly, he looked away and closed his eyes. There had to be something he could do. Something to get Tamaki to snap out of it. This wasn't like him at all. Tamaki had tracked him down to try and save him and failed. But now it was his turn to try and save him. He didn't know how, but he would..somehow..

Whether or not Sogo gets him to snap out of it is up to you. Will this become a happy ending or will Tamaki remain under the spell and keep Sogo imprisoned forever?
This was a rather long short story lol! But it was well worth it!
