It was a day like any other at SFIT. You were working on a personal project in the lab when your best friend Gogo comes up to you.

"Tadashi made something new," she states. You growl a little in your throat. You two were so competitive that everyone was surprised you didn't break out into fist fights...or bot fights. Of course the two of you were naturally dubbed as rivals. Not all that surprising really. You both majored in Robotics, so you both wanted to build better bots than the other.

You go out of your lab and see what Tadashi has created. It is a big white balloon looking bot. "So Tadashi," you say, "what's that?" You point at the newly created bot.

"His name is Baymax. He's a healthcare companion," Tadashi explains. You sigh. You could so do better, and you will show him.

It was around spring finals time and you have so far failed to create something that would surpass Baymax. You think about absolutely anything that could beat that nursebot when, during class, Professor Callaghan starts to talk about the final.

"Each of you will be assigned a partner and with that partner you will create a project that will be of use to anyone anywhere," Callaghan instructs. He lists off partners then he says, "Tadashi and (y/n)."

"WHAT?!?!" you shout, then cover your mouth. "Sorry."

"I thought it would be a good idea to have you two work together for once."

"I am NOT working with you, Hamada!" you yell at Tadashi.

"Fine by me, but you'll fail the final," he responds. You open your mouth to retort, but think about it and close it.

"Just this once," you grumble, sitting down in a nearby chair. Tadashi chuckles. "Are you laughing at me?"

"I am. So what will the project be?"

After a month (or something) you two finally finish your robot. During that time, you realized that Tadashi isn't half bad. You started hanging around him more, by choice. The more and more you hang out with him, the more you start to like him. Hopefully not develop feelings though...oh who were you kidding! It started out as a I-like-you-as-a-friend thing, but now it's just like I-love-you-with-a-burning-passion. How that happened within a month is beyond anyone. Especially you. Today you were going over to the Lucky Cat Café to hang out with Tadashi. Hopefully you'll be able to work up the courage and tell Tadashi your damn feels.

"Hey Hiro!" you greet Tadashi's little bro. "May I come in?"

"Yeah, whatever," Hiro mutters, stepping aside and letting you in. "Tadashi wants to ask you something." You raise your eyebrows, curious of what might be Tadashi's question. You walk up the stairs to his bedroom while Hiro goes to the café part of the building.

"Hello (y/n)," Tadashi greets once you appear in his bedroom.

"Hi," you respond. "Hiro told me that you have a question for me." Tadashi rubs the back of his neck and smiles sheepishly.

"Yeah, heh, I was just wondering if..." he starts. You stare at him and motion for him to continue. "If you wanted to possibly go somewhere with me...? As in on a date...?" Tadashi finishes slowly. You gasp.

"Well," you say, "looks like you beat me to that...dammit."

"What?"

"I was gonna ask that question! Damn you Hamada! Why do you usually have to beat me at everything?!" Tadashi laughs.

"So, that's a yes...?"

"Well duh it is!!" you shout at him. "Wait, does this make us frenemies?"

"In a way."
