I will Play
"Arjun, where are we going?", asked Sunaina for the tenth time walking beside her friend with her eyes closed.
"Almost there Suni", replied Arjun not removing his hand from her eyes.
After walking for ten minutes, Sunaina found herself to be in the middle of the Wankhede Stadium.
"Oh my God Arjun, how did we get in here?", exclaimed Sunaina looking around and her eyes conveyed all her excitement. She bent down inspecting the pitch and was lost in her world when she felt a slight push which caused her to fall.
"Arjun, why did you push?", shouted Sunaina but to her dismay, Arjun was on the other side of the pitch setting up the stumps.
"What happened Suni?", shouted back Arjun as the strong breeze was making it difficult for them to communicate.
"Oh it might be the wind", thought Sunaina getting up from the ground. Looking at the preparations, Sunaina padded up and taking the bat in her hands, she walked over to the pitch making the most of the moment. As Arjun bowled, she hit them like a professional. Being a district player, she always dreamt of playing in this stadium under the floodlights which she thought would be a far-fetched dream but as if God had heard her words, the stadium lightened up with the floodlights surprising Arjun as well because this was out of his plan.
At that moment Sunaina felt she heard someone clap for her but before she could comprehend further, she felt Arjun holding her left hand and saw him kneeling down in front of her holding a box that contained a ring with the letters A and S inscribed in it along with a mini cricket bat and ball.
"I love you Sunaina. Will you be mine for this life?", proposed Arjun but before Sunaina could react, Arjun fell backward with shock evident on his face. Sunaina got confused and knelt down towards him but was pushed back by an invisible force. She felt unusually cold and her arms pained as if someone was holding her tightly.
"Leave her", shouted Arjun looking behind Sunaina where all he could see was a pair of hands around her while they heard a whisper "She...is...mine. Now I will play and the world will see"

Arjun slowly opened his eyes hearing his name and looked around to get accustomed to his surroundings. Then the events before his blackout flashed in front of him scaring him to hell and he immediately got up to see Sunaina lying down a bit farther from him.
"Sunaina", shouting which he tried to wake her up but she was unconscious.
"Did you see what happened?", Arjun asked the watchman who waked him up.
"No sir, I came to inform you that it's time for you to leave but then I found you both on the ground", replied the watchman trembling in fear as he didn't want to get into trouble for allowing them illegally just for some quick bucks.
After dialing 108 and sending their location, he turned towards the watchman remembering something.
"Did you switch on the floodlights?", asked Arjun for which the watchman nodded in no.
The ambulance sound diverted Arjun's mind. He took Sunaina in his arms and went out of the stadium where the ambulance was waiting for them.
Arjun narrated all he witnessed in the ground to the doctor as they couldn't find anything unusual in Sunaina's health reports stating the reason for her being unconscious.
"I don't know what to make out of it Arjun. You guys shouldn't have been out of your homes so late at night", scolded the doctor not wanting to believe that there is a life beyond death.
"Sorry, sir. I wanted to make her birthday special", admitted Arjun feeling guilty for putting his love in trouble.
"For now all I could understand is that your mind might have tricked you taking into consideration the time and the environment", said the doctor, and even Arjun couldn't determine whether it was all a dream or reality.
As Sunaina woke up after some time, she was discharged and Arjun dropped her home.
The next morning, as Sunaina was lazing in her balcony, she found few kids playing cricket on the road and immediately she rushed towards them.
"Give me the bat. I want to play", saying which she pulled the bat from the boy but as he resisted, her face turned pale and she pulled the bat from him and hit the little boy on his head making him tumble down holding his bleeding head. Not bothering about anyone, Sunaina took her stance with the bat and asked the other kid to bowl but all of them ran away from there being frightened.
Arjun, who came to meet her saw everything and dragged her inside.
"Why did you hit the poor boy?", shouted Arjun.
"Naina will kill anyone who doesn't let her play. Naina will play and the world will see her game", said Sunaina with an evil smile.
"Suni, Are you mad? If something happens to him, you will go to jail and your whole career would be at stake", shouted Arjun holding her by shoulders.
"I won't do anything that would stop Naina from playing", murmuring which Sunaina left to her room while Arjun went out and took the kid to the hospital.

After two years, Sunaina made it to nationals, and being the player of the series in the recent t20 world cup, her name was all over the newspapers.
Sunaina was getting ready for her success party when her eyes landed upon a newspaper. Picking it up, she read the headlines.
"A new star emerged and her name is __Naina", read Sunaina and thought that the first two letters were not printed clearly but through the corner of her eyes, she saw her reflection in the mirror with a smirk and after two years she heard "I am playing and the world is cheering".
