"Professor! I've got news!" A young woman with long red hair, a little under her shoulder, and sparkling gold eyes walked over to Professor Augustine Sycamore, who was feeding a baby Skitty.

"Hmmmm. What's up?" The Professor stood up.

"I wanna—start back on my journey-if-if that's okay with you.." Mairin stammered.

"Of course." The Professor smiled.

18 year old, Mairin worked for Professor Sycamore for 8 years. She started after Alain had broke her heart. The Professor told her that spending time with Pokemon would help her get herself together, and think about her future.

After 8 years of working at the lab, Mairin decided that she would start back on her Pokemon Journey.

"I'm leaving tomorrow morning." Mairin smiled. The Professor patted her back. "You're great with Pokemon! You made the right choice!"

"Thank You" Mairin said, while rubbing the back of her neck.

Tomorrow, Mairin would set back off on her Pokemon Journey, with her Pokemon: Chesnaught, Florgess, Altaria, Leafon, Growlithe, and Pyror.

"Why are you wanting to leave so—oh, I don't know?—unexpectedly?" The Professor asked.

The truth is, Mairin wanted to see Alain again. Lately, she could't get him off her mind for some strange reason. She wondered how he was doing. And if he had changed—maybe he looked cute?

Mairin shook her head. No Mairin! Don't think about that!!

"It's Alain isn't it?" The Professor asked with a worried expression on his face.

Mairin nodded. She longed for him.

"Why? D-Do you know where he is?" Mairin asked.

"Maybe..." A smile approached on the middle-aged man.

"Where?! Tell me! Please!!" Mairin begged.

"He called me yesterday, he said he was in Anistar City with someone, but I don't know who" The Professor said.

Mairin's cheeks grew red and her heart was beating unpleasantly fast.

"A girl?" She asked.

The Professor shrugged his shoulder and continued to brush the Skitty's fur.
