chapter 3
Lonnie and Jane were in the quad doing school work. Well Jane was doing school work Lonnie on the other hand was playing with her pen.
Then Jane got a text from Carlos saying he had a surprise for her. Jane wasn't sure if she wanted to leave Lonnie alone. They hadn't even talked about the incident.
"What's up?" Lonnie asked as she saw Jane staring at her phone.
"Just a text from Carlos." Jane replied.
"What does he want?" Lonnie asked.
"He said he has a surprise for me. I'll just tell him I'm busy." Jane said.
"You are going to pick school work over your boyfriend?" Lonnie asked.
"No I'm picking you over my boyfriend. I didn't want you to be alone." Jane said.
"Jane, I'm alright. I'll just go back to the dorm. Go on your mysterious date with Carlos." Lonnie said.
"Are you sure?" Jane asked.
Lonnie nodded.
"Okay." Jane replied. she didn't want Lonnie to think that she saw her as weak and needed protecting so she decided to let it go. After all what could happen?
Jane left on her mysterious adventure while Lonnie started walking back to their dorm.
As she was walking to her dorm, somebody snuck up behind her covering her mouth and dragging her to the janitors closet. (Which was just at the corner)
Almost like on command, she took out the dagger she usually straps to her knees not like she needed to keep weapons in Auradon but old habits die hard.
And almost stabbed his hands if he wasn't quick enough.
All her fear turned into anger as she was looking at Jay.
"What's wrong with you. I almost stabbed you. I thought you were a crazy person and clearly I was right." Lonnie said angrily pointing the dagger at him.
"Geez sorry. Who the hell put you in a bad mood. I just wanted to talk to you." Jay said.
"By gagging and dragging into a closet with you, not creepy at all." Lonnie said sarcastically.
"Well I would have tried calling you and asking you to meet me somewhere but you've been avoiding me." Jay said.
"No I haven't." Lonnie argued.
"Yes you have. You are literally trying to avoid me now." Jay said when he noticed Lonnie was trying to keep as much distance between them as possible.
Lonnie tried reaching for the door to open it but Jay kept it shut with his arm.
"L-let me out." Lonnie said in a tone Jay never thought she would use with him. Fear.
"Lonnie what's wrong? you know I'd never hurt you." Jay said as he tried approaching her.
With every step Jay took forward, Lonnie took two steps backwards.
"Please let me go." Lonnie said as she sobbed a little.
Jay has never felt more like an idiot. Here he was trying to find out what was bothering Lonnie but he was making her cry instead.
But he still wanted to know what was up he desperately wanted to help Lonnie.
He decided to give her some tough love.
"Look at me!" Jay commanded.
Lonnie quickly looked at him, the fear visible on her face.
Jay didn't like the approach but at least it was working.
"Listen something obviously happened and I want to help you. But I can't if you don't tell me what happened. None of us are leaving here until you talk." Jay said sternly.
"What's it to you huh? Why do you suddenly care?" Lonnie replied angrily.
"Lonnie I've always cared. You are my friend. You are one of the few people who saw us for who we really were. You didn't judge us because of our background. I care about you Lonnie." Jay answered loudly.
"It doesn't matter. Let me out or I will force my way out." Lonnie said holding the dagger up.
"Oh so you are really going to fight me?" Jay asked.
"If I have to." Lonnie said.
"I really can't believe you. All I'm trying to do is help you but you are pushing me away." Jay said exasperated.
"Then just give up and leave me be already." Lonnie said.
"This has something to do with that Sean Lee guy right?" Jay asked.
Lonnie couldn't even respond her expression blank like she was in some kind of trance.
"It does. What did he do to you Lonnie?" Jay asked.
Lonnie stared at him blankly.
"Tell me." Jay demanded.
"He raped me okay!?" Lonnie exclaimed angrily.
This was a bit uncomfortable for me to write but hey cheers to me stepping out of my comfort zone. I know Lonnie and maybe Jay are out of character but situations tend to change people. But don't worry Lonnie is still the chirpy, funny, daring amazing girl inside. And that girl will shine through eventually.
