Carlos wasn't really sure how Jay had lost him. He was the faster runner between them.

"Well I'll just ask him back in the dorm." Carlos said and went back.

Jay was relived when he saw that Carlos had given up on chasing him but he didn't want to go back to the lobby quite yet. He wasn't sure he could handle seeing Carlos or Jane or Lonnie there so he decided to go back to his dorm and figure out what happened with Lonnie.

Jay couldn't stop thinking about the sight. He had never seen Lonnie that way before. "I need to find out what happened." Jay said to himself laying on his back on his bed as he thought of all the possible reasons Lonnie acted that way.

He figured she was fine until Audrey showed up and asked about a guy.

"It all started when Audrey asked  about that Shin Li or something. He must have something to do with this."  Jay thought.

After a while, the room door opened and Jay pretended to be asleep to avoid any questions from Carlos.                                                                     ******************

Next day (Saturday)

Jay didn't get a good night sleep because he was worried sick about Lonnie. He needed to talk to her alone and he needed to do it soon.

After brushing their teeth and taking a bath, Carlos and Jay headed to the cafeteria and sat on the table they normally sit at with their friends.

Jay wasn't sure he was going to see Lonnie there but surprisingly, she was there. She seemed normal like nothing ever happened. Even Jane seemed okay too making it look like whatever happened the previous day didn't happen.

"Are you okay?" Jay asked Lonnie softly.

Lonnie suddenly remembered that Jay saw her in her panic state she mentally cursed. "Yeah I'm fine thanks."

Breakfast went normally but Jay could notice that Lonnie was trying to avoid him in every way possible. They normally sit next to each other but this time she sat next to ben. No one else seemed to notice.

Later that day......

Carlos was on the field playing with dude.

"Dude! I've been looking everywhere for you." Jay said as he finally found carlos.

"What do you want?" Carlos asked.

"Are you going on a date with Jane today?" Jay asked.

Carlos was shocked. Of all the things Jay could ask him.

"Why would you want to know that? I thought that's too mushy and all." Carlos said.

"I need to know. Please." Jay begged.

"No." Carlos said.

"You have to take her on a date." Jay said.

"Why?" Carlos asked confused.

"Just do it." Jay said.

"That's not how it works. I'll have to tell her before time before taking her on a date." Carlos said.

"Just tell her it's a surprise date. I'll help you set up. Whatever you need." Jay said.

"Why are you so interested in me taking Jane on a date today?" Carlos asked.

"Because I want to talk to Lonnie alone." Jay said.

"You finally gonna tell her how you feel about her?" Carlos asked.

"I told you I don't see Lonnie that way. She's more like a best friend."  Jay said.

"I'm hurt." Carlos said.

"A best friend as a girl." Jay said.

"Then what about Mal and Evie?" Carlos asked.

"They are more like sisters to me...*groans* Are you going to help me or not?" Jay asked.

"Okay geez I'll help you." Carlos said.

"Thank you." Jay said.

"But first one question. What were you doing in the girls bathroom yesterday?" Carlos asked.

"I was........uh I lost my way." Jay said.

"Come on Jay, that was a really terrible lie. I could eat an alphabet soup and spit out a better excuse than that." Carlos said.

"Yeah whatever thanks again. Bye." Jay said as he sprints off.   

Sorry I have to end it here. I know this chapter doesn't really reveal anything or make anything clearer but I'll update the next chapter soon (hopefully)
