When Zhan and Yibo reached to the capital, it was already under attack and the one who was fighting the enemy was Zhehan along with his battalion.

"Marquis!" Yibo called out to him and Zhehan looked at Zhan and Yibo, "Lord Zhan crown prince, where is the duke."

Yibo spoke, "The duke is missing but right now we need to fight these people, we have to find out where they have hidden the duke." Yibo said and Zhehan who was afraid for Simon, also braced himself.

"Crown prince our soldiers are attacked at the border a well and we don't have enough manpower here."

Zhan looked at the huge army led by Eros, along with Danielle and Azrael, Zhan stood in the front, "We don't need manpower I am enough."

The first prince and Eros both heard this and, Danielle clenched his fist, " attack that man."

Eros also waved his hand and yelled, "Attack!"

The men charged towards Zhan, while Zhehan tightened his hold on his sword and Yibo also summoned his sword but Zhan raised his hand and stoped them,

"Lord Zhan what are you planning?" Zhehan said and Yibo just looked at him then men came very near before Zhan moved his hand and snapped his fingers and just when he did that the head of the soldiers exploded.

Blood splattered here and there and few drops of blood covered Zhan, Zhehan and Yibo's face, the bodies of the soldiers fell on the ground while the remains of their faces flew in the sir.

Everyone present there were shocked to the core half of the men that came with Eros were dead, all of their heads had exploded, just by Zhan's snap of fingers.

A little it of blood dripped from his nose but he wiped it, "Now where is your king and where did he take my brother?"

Danielle and Azrael shivered when they saw Zhan's red eyes and crazed look, "Monster!" Danielle spoke.

Zhan spoke, "You will soon see a devil if you don't tell me where my brother is" he said and once again snapped his fingers and once again the remaining men were also dead.

Zhehan looked at Zhan and so did Yibo, "fools," Zhan said and turned to Yibo, "Your highness, today you know that my power is that I can control blood."

Yes, Zhan can control blood any human or animal that has blood running through his body can be controlled by Zhan with a snap of his fingers Zhan can make them explode with his powers he can control their body and move their limbs without their will.

And If people drank his blood then he can control their mind as well that was his power.

Eros also stepped back and slowly said to one of his soldiers, "Go and call the emperor."

While Zhan turned to Yibo and Zhehan, "Your highness, Marquis I will leave first prince, Azrael to you while that third man will die by snap of my fingers."

Zhan said and glared at Eros his eyes turned red but nothing happened Eros was unaffected, that shocked Why was his power had no effect on Eros.

Eros took out his sword and ran towards Zhan who also took out his sword and ran towards Eros.

And their swords clashed.

When Simon woke up next time he felt drained, he was hungry, he was thirst and most of all he was in pain.

Everything hurts, especially his head.

"Finally awake?" It was Zion who asked him, Simon didn't even had the power to speak anything, Zion took a glass of water and fed some water to Simon.
He then took some bread and patiently fed Simon some bread, "Do you remember me Duke?"

Simon looked at Zion and nodded.

Yes he did he remembered everything, each an everything, he remembered his mother's death his father's abuse, how he had to ignore Zhan, Dylan, Elijah and finally how he had died, he had died after the duke Seth had ordered to throw his half dead body in front of hungry dogs and that's how he had died by being bitten and eaten by the dogs.

Everything made sense now, Zhan's anger, nightmares, revenge hatred everything made sense

He also remembered Zion, he had found Zion at the border of the empire all injured and nearly dead, He had pitied Zion and took his with him and nursed him back to health.

And he did fell in love with Zion, but Zion wanted Simon to leave everything behind and go to the Sumedian empire and Simon had refused because of Zhan and that made Zion angry.

As a result Zion had tried to kill Zhan but failed because Simon had discovered his plans and that was the day when Simon had slapped him and told him to go away.

But Zion refused to leave, and instead he went to Seth to tell him that Simon was planning to kill him, Seth being Seth captured Zion and forced Simon to see Seth torturing him.

However Simon did save him but it was too late because Zion was gravely injured, Simon also tried to make Zion drink Zhan's blood but in the end it was too late.

"How did you..." Simon spoke but found it difficult to complete his sentence, so Zion did.

"How do I remember the past?"

Simon nodded,  "Well originally I didn't, but a few years back I always had dreams and deja vu's your voice would always echo in my mind but I didn't know who you were,

Simon heard everything and was quiet shocked, "So that's why you gave me that..."

"Yes that's why I gave you that water mixed with my blood."

"Why your blood?"

Zion smiled, "Well my blood can tackle the effect of Zhan's blood his and powers will not work on me, my bloodline is special and to some extent my blood can also help me control people's mind but like Zhan I can't full on control it my power is weak.

Hence the most I can do is help people remember things they have forgotten or help them sleep or things like while Zhan's power it terrifying he can literally change the personality of a person...no wonder why he can be a powerful holy object"

"And why is your blood line special?"

Zion smiled and said, "My bloodline is special because my blood line is that of the first king Cyrus's bloodline. The one blessed by both goddess ankh and Duat, but alas over the years our powers have declined."

Simon gulped, "Zion, please stop this madness."

Zion laughed, "Tell that to your brother, what do you think his reaction would be?"

And after that I will turn you into my slave and this empire of yours, will be under my rule, Simon Wen Weixiao,  I will not forgive you for choosing Zhan over me."

Simon glare at Zion and struggled, "You know what? I did the right thing I did absolutely right someone so pathetic like you deserved what you got,you never respected my wished you never respected my boundaries.

And you went as far as to harm my little brother the only person that had kept me sane and was the reason for me to keep on living you tried to take away that reason from me, even in your last life you bought that torture upon yourself, I trusted you and told you everything about my plans but what did you do? used it against me? pathetic."

Zion punched Simon in the face and one again proceeded to whip him, "All I wanted was for you to choose me, I wanted to be number for you I wanted you to love me as much as I loved you but you..." Zion said and mercilessly whipped Simon to the point where Simon felt like dying.

Zion then threw the whip away and picked a metal rod with a marking on it he then heated the rod till it was red before moving towards Simon, "I will not let you go again this time you have to choose me."

He said and pressed the hot rod against Simon's chest making him grunt with pain,Simon breathe heavily while Zion pushed the rod further against his check ,"Ah...hah...!!" Simon grunted in pain.

And when Zion finally removed the rod Simon looked at him and smile,"No matter what you do you can neve take Zhan's place in my heart, you runt."

Zion then once again grabbed Simon's head and smashed it against the wall and Simon finally fainted.

"Your majesty." At the same time a soldier also came to him ,"Please you ave to come our soldiers are loosing because of that man named Zhan"

Zion swiped his hand and gently caressed Simon' head before whispering gently in his ear, "I will be back soon and this time with your brother."

With that Zion finally left the place followed by his soldier.
