The night of the party arrives soon and this time there was a carriage waiting for Zhan outside the door.

The head butler was standing beside the carriage with his head down as if hiding his face, Zhan's knight was there as well for a moment Zhan couldn't believe that this carriage was for him until his knight opened the door for him.

For once Zhan wondered if this was his brother's doing?

But soon he felt uncomfortable since these people were definitely forced to serve him.

Once he was inside the carriage the knight closed the door with a bang, which created a loud noise.

Normally it was considered rude but Zhan didn't want to create a rukus so he didn't say much.

The entire ride was quiet before he reached his destination, he got down from the carriage and took the gift he had prepared for the birthday girl.

Once he reached inside the building he suddenly felt out of place, because apparently Everyone either ignored him or pretended that he didn't exist.

He stood at his place awkwardly for a moment not knowing where to go or who to speak with.

He was even thinking weather it was a good idea coming here or not, while he was in the middle of regretting his decision he was approached by the birthday girl Sapphire Churchill herself she was a gorgeous lady and her red dress made her look even more radiant.

"Lord Zhan ,I am happy that you came here."

"It's my pleasure lady Sapphire, please accept my gift." Zhan said and handed over his gift of a beautiful diamond necklace to her.

Sapphire smirked and took the necklace, "it's so pretty, it would look good with my collection"

Zhan only smiled for some reason this woman was making him uncomfortable,"um...how is your elder brother lord Simon?"

"My elder brother is okay thanks for asking."

Sapphire nodded, "okay then enjoy the party."

After that Sapphire just walked away she didn't bother to talk with Zhan anymore and no one else bothered to talk to him.

Even when en tried they just straight up ignored him, even Sapphire also ignored him even the waiters didn't ask him for drinks.

So Zhan just sat quietly in the corner on a sofa waiting for sometime before deciding to just leave.

But before he could get to he suddenly felt a cold liquid being poured on to him.

This made him Stand suddenly and he saw Ruby standing behind him with a smile as she emptied her glass on Zhan ,"Lady Ruby what kind of joke is this?"

Ruby them made a sorry face,"I am sorry lord Zhan it was my mistake,"

She said and walked towards him but at the same time 'coincidentaly' a waiter carrying for came from behind and Ruby accidentally bumped into him and all the contents that the waiter carried fell onto Zhan.

Moreover it was hot food freshly prepared which even burned his skin.

"Oh I am so sorry" Ruby said and tried to touch Zhan but yanked his hand away while Ruby 'accidentally' fell on the ground.

"I said I am sorry lord Zhan can't you forgive me ?" Ruby fake cried while the crowd just watched.

"What kind of behaviour is this lord Zhan? Sapphire said angrily, "we Invited you to the party and this is how you treat my sister?

My little sister made a mistake can't you forgive her? How can you treat a lady like this just because goddess favours you doesn't mean that you can treat others like this."

Zhan clenched his fist and stood there as the others stared at him with disdain.

"This is indeed true how can you treat a lady like this?"

"Lord Zhan you should apologise"

"A person favoured by goddess, can be so arrogant."

"How can he just push a lady like that"

"No wonder the Duke Don't like him."

Zhan heard all this and after sometime he bowed his head, "I apologise lady Ruby it was my fault"

With that he didn't say a word more and walked away he went to his carriage and saw his knight there, where was this guy a few Minutes earlier?

But Zhan felt so embarrassed that he kept his questions to himself only, he sat in the carriage, how excited was he for today he really wanted to socialize but it seems humans really hate him.

He wonders why does everyone bring up that he his favoured by the goddess everytime something happens related to him?

Zhan also wonders that day mother shouldn't have jumped in to save him it wasn't necessary his mother knew that he was special and won't die easily then why?

While he was on deep thoughts he suddenly felt the carriage stop and a lot of loud noises .

He jumped out to see what was wrong only to know that he was under attack an show knight and the carriage driver has already left him alone.

Zhan suddenly smiled and closed his eyes so they clearly don't care weather he lives or dies huh? Even if he is there master how can they abandon him?

He felt himself being surrounded by people while he stood at his place staring at the ground.

The leader of the group raised his sword,"it's good you are quiet now come with us quietly"

He swinged his sword towards Zhan who dodged it and took the leader's sword before placing it at his neck " I am saying this nicely leave."

The leader glared at Zhan,"attack him."

Zhan sighed and raise the sword before jumping towards the other men.

Zhan was able to make them run away but he himself received some terrible wounds a standard wound on his stomach and shoulder, and a head wound.

It had also started raining again and his carriage was destroyed so he decided to walk towards his home but he took one step and felt immense pain that he collapsed on the ground.

The cold rain gave him some sort of relaxation as he remembered today's events , he suddenly felt his arms being grabbed and someone supporting his body.

"When will you learn to kill your enemy rather than leaving them alive idiot."

"Your highness."

Yibo supported him and helped him sit with him in the horse with him, " I apologise for coming so late, they were sent by the empress you got hurt because of me."

"Please don't blame yourself your highness, I got hurt because of a! Favoured by the goddess"

"And you still believe in her?"

"Yes I shall never stop believing in her"Zhan said as he leaned forward and put his head on Yibo's shoulder ,"I apologise for this but my body feels heavy."

"No worries" Yibo drove his horse faster as he reached the Dukes residence, Zhan had already fallen asleep by them so he carried him on his back.

Inside he saw Simon Zhan's elder brother, when he saw Zhan for once his straight face was laced other concern as he ran towards him.

"What happened to him"

"So you care huh?" Yibo asked as he laid Zhan on the sofa.

"I am asking what's wrong with him!!!"

"Shut up! Are you forgetting who you are you talking too? I am not your brother in will be heard you right here if you dare to talk to me like that fucking duke"

While Simon was very angry he knew this prince wasn't joking so he just bowed is head "I apologise your highness but please tell me what's wrong with my brother?"

"He was attacked and his knight abandoned him"

Simon's gaze hardened, " Head butler!"

The head butler came running to him and bowed his head," go and summon Elijah and all the servants who were supposed to serve Zhan and call other servants to help Zhan into his room"

"No need tell me where his room is I'll take him"

Once Yibo took Zhan, Elijah was placed in front of Simon ,"so Elijah mind telling me what your duties as a knight are?"

Elijah who sat their with a straight face, "it's to protect my master with my life"

"And you failed in that task"

"My master was lady Irene I will only consider her as my master"

Simon took out his sword," you failed in protecting her and my brother such a useless knight like you shouldn't be allowed to wield sword anymore" with that he cut of his wrist making Elijah writher in pain.

"Send him and his wrist back to his home and fire all the servants without pay" he them then turned to head butler,"and you will be next if you behaved like them"

The head butler clenched his fist,"young master the Duke will not be happy if he knew you are doing this for the young master Zhan."

"A man who only things about himself and place then dead over the living is better off as dead. And yes go and tell him what I said for I am it afraid if him anymore"
