When A-Yuan woke up the next day he thought that he was dead and was in heaven after seeing himself lying on a king-size bed in a luxurious home.

And he felt no pain or weakness in his body, but he sat up straight when he saw A-Xiang as well, wearing a dress that was definitely expensive, "Hey! are you also dead?"

A-Xiang smiled and hugged her brother tightly, "No, brother we are not dead."

"Then is this a dream?"

"No, it's isn't"

A-Yuan then broke the hug and seriously spoke, "What's going on ?"

"Brother the man who helped us yesterday is the younger brother of Duke WeiXiao and he took us in."

A-Yuan's eyes widen, "Duke WeiXiao?"

"Yes," A-Xiang answered with a smile.

"Are you two awake?" Zhan asked as he walked into their room and once the brother and sister saw him they went on their knees.

"Greetings" the two still had their guards up.

"Get up, you two."Zhan said and the two followed, "you guys are not slaves anymore."

The two looked at each other before looking at Zhan, and A-Yuan spoke, "Sir...thank you for helping us."

"No need to thank me, from today onwards you will live in this house and I would like to see if you both are useful."

The two didn't understand what Zhan meant by useful, and seeing the confusion Zhan explained, "I will train you two personally, and see how smart you are and how much strength you two can accumulate."

The two nodded, "Yes, sir."

Zhan finally smiled after seeing these two dorks, "Alright, it's time for breakfast come with me."

Zhan then took the two to the dining room and asked them to sit on the chair and not long after Simon also joined them.

"How are you both?" he asked.

"We are fine now," A-Xinag answered.

"Good to know that." Simon nodded and glanced at Zhan, "Prince will come by today."

Zhan nodded, "Alright."

And then everything became quiet soon the food was placed in front of them and Sibling's eyes wide after seeing so much food but they were served light porridge.

Zhan said to them, "You two are highly malnourished if you eat so much food after so much time you will fall sick. hence for a few days, you will only be given light foods."

"Thank you, sir," A-Yuan said and picked the spoon before taking his first bite, and he nearly cried after eating such soft and warm food.

 Oftentimes these siblings had to eat the leftover food or sometimes not even that, their owner would not give them food unless they were on the verge of death.

A-Xiang tears escaped her eyes after she tasted the food, and Simon asked, "What's wrong? is the food not to your liking?"

She quickly shook her hand, "No, no Sir, it's just I have eaten something after so many days and that too something fresh and not a leftover or from garbage, that's why I couldn't control myself."

Zhan looked at the two, just a little bit of kindness and these two are so happy and already in tears, for Zhan, it may mean nothing but this small kindness means a lot to them, in his last life Zhan was also like this, just a little kindness would make him happy.

He sighed and continued eating his food. After they were done with breakfast Zhan gave his blood as medicine to A-Xiang as well these two extremely weal and malnourished children will take forever to heal, and his blood is the fastest way to heal them.

A-Xiang didn't ask anything and didn't doubt Zhan she just drank the medicine in one go and after that Zhan took them to the training field, "We'll start with building your stamina, stretch yourself and take two rounds of this field."

These two have worked as slaves so they might have good stamina already.

A-Yuan and A-Xiang did as they were told.

"You are already training them huh?" Zhan heard Yibo's voice and turned around to see him standing behind him with a smile. 

He walked towards him and gave a pat on his shoulder, "What brings you here your highness?"

"Oh I just came to meet you and see those children, I actually like your place more than that palace where I have no one, but If I am bothering you I will go away."

"No, you are not bothering me, I am glad you came actually." Zhan quickly spoke.

"That's good then" Yibo didn't bring up last night's events and just stood beside Zhan, "So what are you planning to do with them?"

"I am planning to make them powerful so that they can be of good use to us."

Yibo nodded, and Zhan asked him, "How are the things in the imperial palace?"

"Quiet. Actually too quiet that it's making me worried."

"Those two must be planning something," Zhan said. 

"Well they have nothing better to do so yeah, but the question is what are they planning to do?"

Zhan and he became quiet, "They clearly know that you will kill them once you become the emperor, and also they know that I am by your side, and Marquis is not stupid to support them.

Not just him all the nobles must have turned their backs on them, in all this chaos the only thing they can do is secretly trying to kill you, and if not that then they must go for rebellion."

Yibo nodded slowly, "Rebellion, that's the best choice for them but who will help them?"

Zhan smiled, "The empress and the first prince are a force to reckon with they have a very good brain let's see what they can do, I am waiting for them to make a move."

Yibo smiled as well, "You seem to be excited, we have power now and we can easily kill them."

Zhan looked at the sky and smile, "Where is the fun in that Prince, I would like to see my opponent using all the tricks they can use until they have nothing  else to do no one else to turn to all helpless and desperate, that would be the best scene for me." 

Yibo took a deep breath before saying, "What enmity do you have with them?"

"They had done something horrible to me a long time ago that almost killed me, now It's my turn."

"Sir, we are done with the rounds," A-Yuan said while panting.

"Good," Zhan said, "I will teach you how to hold a word and some basics today, do you know how to read and write?"

"We know the basics."

"Alright." Zhan said, "I need to find a good tutor for you."

The siblings then saw Yibo and greeted him while Yibo smiled at them, "You look good."

A-Xiang then came forwards and spoke with her head down, "your highness, can I return you your cloth?"

"Keep it with you for now...and the first thing you need to learn is to talk with your head up." 

She looked at Zhan who nodded before looking at Yibo, "Yes, Your highness."

"Good."

Author's note: A-Yuan and A-Xiang's addition to the story is a break of fresh air for Zhan at least with them there is no scheming no hate no anger it's just innocence.
