Zhan felt nostalgic when he saw the duke's mansion after so many years, finally, he is back here.

Irene was standing in the middle of Simon and Zhan holding their hands, "Let's go in children."

After seeing the new guest all the servants and the butler were confused but the duke soon solved their confusion when he announced, "All of you welcome your two young masters, my two children Zhan and Simon."

Everyone was shocked out of their wits when they heard this, and Irene ordered them,"Dylan go and prepare my children's room and set up dinner for them also prepare a hot bath for them."

After seeing their reaction looks like the duchess has done a good job in these years, especially after seeing how the butler was limping Zhan felt extremely happy.

If he is right, then in a few days the duke will be going down as well.

Irene showed them their rooms and once Zhan was in his room he collapsed on his bed, today was very interesting.

Zhan almost laughed when he saw how thin and malnourished this guy looked, in his last life the butler was the reason Zhan's life was miserable he was neither given food and neither clothing and he even fed Zhan rotten food.

But he had treated Simon worse, he had restricted his movements and reported his every move to the duke thus taking the freedom from Simon and this bastard was even smiling when Simon was brutally killed.

For ten years he and his brother had suffered because of him.

"Mr. Roy, how are you?" Zhan said and smiled kindly at the butler, "It's been a long time right?"

The butler smiled he was glad that these two had come back now his days of abuse will end.

"I am fine, young master."

"You don't look fine though, anything wrong?"

The butler smiled faintly, "Everything is okay young master it;'s just that after you and young master Simon disappeared the duchess really changed."

"I had heard that she became crazy and also abused you?" Zhan asked as he made a sad face,. "It must be hard for you Dylan, even after serving all of all these years no one really cared for you."

Dylan's heartfelt heavy at least someone understood him, "It's nothing young  master."

"What's going on here?" The butler flinched when he heard duchess's voice and Zhan just gently smiled at her, "Nothing mother we were just talking, Mr. Roy was just telling me how you had changed in all these years."

The butler broke out in cold sweat but Zhan didn't stop there, "And he also told that it was really tough all these years."

"is that so?" Irene spoke with a cold voice, "Dylan I want you to meet me later and Zhan you come with me, we need to choose dresses for the party"

Zhan followed Irene but not before giving a smile to the butler. 

While the empress was fuming and looking for ways to bring people on her side because it was becoming tougher and tougher, the temple was on Yibo's side and even the duke's family was on Yio's side.

The two most powerful people in the empire were on Yibo's side and moreover, the emperor seems to go on Yibo's side as well.

And Empress didn't have a good feeling about Zhan at all the way he looked into her eyes and said that he will always be by Yibo's side, Empress clenched her fist,

Zhan had already known that he was the spn of the duke and he was waiting for the duke to arrive and announce his position moreover the fact that he looked straight at her and she told her that he will be Yibo's side...was that challenge?

He  had pale skin and brown skin and was extremely handsome, he got his looks from both his parents, the empress spoke, "You don't understand everything is slipping from our hands and the third prince is gaining too much power."

Danielle smirked, "Mother you are worrying too much and because you are worrying too much you are not thinking straight."

"What do you mean?"

The first prince snapped his finger and a woman entered the room the woman had silver had and she had a extremely beautiful face.

"Who is she?"

The woman bowed, "My name is Adeena Vespera, your majesty."

The empress glanced at Danielle, "Sit down mother and let me explain. She is the daughter of Baron Vespera, she is mature and has good knowledge her mother was had once served in the temple as well.

So she becomes one of the best candidates for the saintess and if she becomes the saintess we can control the temple since her family is not that influential she can't stand against us as well.

And secondly" he said and snapped his finger again and this time Sapphire entered the room.

"She is the daughter of count Sapphire and she will work for us if she marries the duke's eldest son Simon who will most probably inherit the dukedom then we can control the duchy too."

The empress suddenly smiled, "That's a good plan, if I give an imperial degree to them then even the dukedom cant' refuse it."

"There is more mother." The crown prince said, "bring her in"

No sooner than he had said that, a knight came inside the room while dragging a woman by her hair the woman screamed and cried at it was none other than Yibo's nanny Nancy.

The empress smirked, and the prince spoke, "The third prince has killed our brother Damon we should also kill someone precious to him right?" the prince said and kicked Nancy, before taking out a small bottle put his hand and giving it to the empress.

"What is this?" the empress asked as she observed the bottle.

"It's black venom mother."
