"Welcome to the imperial palace, Sir Sean and Simon." Yibo welcomed them with a smile.

"Thank you, your highness."

"Allow me to guide you to your room." Yibo said and walked forwards while the brothers followed him, "sure Simon back then you had shown me excellent swordsmanship one day I would like to have a dual with you."

"You are too kind your highness, it wasn't anything special."

"Hahaha well back then you had me impressed I wonder how will I react when you will show your true power."

Simon only smiled, "I have heard a lot you from your brother ? order Simon I hope we can get along well."

Simon glanced at Zhan who only smiled at him," I wish to get along with you as well your highness. I have also heard a lot about you from my brother."

Yibo then stood in front of a room," well Then enjoy your stay and if you need anything then you can send a servant to me."

The brother bowed, "Thank you, your highness."

Once Yibo was gone Simon quickly walked in the room and there himself on the bed, "finally I can rest now will you tell me, brother, why we are here?"

Zhan has been trying to avoid his conversation all this time his brother didn't push him but just how long can he avoid this talk.

And what is he going to tell Simon? Simon does not have his memory so he does not remember that he is the son of duke Zhan wonders if he gives him his memory then he will be attached to duke and Irene and that won't be good.

Zhan won't be able to tolerate his brother will turn his back on him.

And he also doesn't want to remember his past life that would be disastrous,  then what should he say to him?

Simon who observed Zhan's face knew that there was something that he was hiding from him. Ever since they were kids there were many times Zhan would break down and hug him to sleep, Zhan has always been protective of him as if he was always scared that someone would take him away from Zhan.

Simon tried to ask many times why he was like this but Zhan would always replay that he just loves him too much and because he was his only family.

As they grew up Simon only had Zhan as his family he had no memory of his mom or dad so of course, Zhan was very dear to him.

But many times Simon thought that Zhan wanted to protect him from something or someone for a child Zhan had always been mature for his age.

Simon wonders what it is that has even bothering his brother for so many years, what exactly is the reason for his tears and nightmare all these years.

And when and how he has met the prince, that is something that Simon has always wanted to know.

Seeing that Zhan Clenched his fist and was in deep thought Simon knew that he was bothered by his question so he got up and tapped his nose bringing Zhan out of his thoughts,

" Whenever I also you anything about your purpose you always makes this face but promise me to tell me everything later, but looks like I have been very lenient on you because you always break this promise.

And breaking a promise is not a good thing brother I will complain to master about this."

Zhan smiled faintly, "I am sorry brother, I don't know where to start."

Simon sighed, "if it's becoming to think and do something then just do it and then think, just stop thinking Zhan and tell me why we are here?"

Zhan sighed, the emotions and sentiments that he and Yibo have towards this Kingdom are very different from Simon's.

Unlike Zhan, Simon does not remember his past life and unlike Yibo Simon has not gone through any traumatic event.

Even Zhan does not know how Simon will react, "Zhan, I am asking something."

Simon spoke, Zhan clenched his fist and replied, "brother I came here to take revenge."

Simon crossed his hands in front of his chest, "revenge? with whom?"

"Revenge from our parents." Simon's eyes widened slightly, "parents? But I thought we both were orphans."

'"no we aren't brother we both have our parents and they tried to kill us by throwing us from the carriage and because of that you lost your memory."

"And you are saying that you remember everything and yet didn't tell me anything? in all these years?" Simon was slightly angry now," And how come you remember and I don't?"

Zhan felt panicked his brother is reacting like this for hiding something like this how will e react if he remembers the Duke and the Duchess? He will abandon Zhan and support those evil people.

And how will he react if he remembers his past life? Will be angry or still support Zhan.

No, Zhan can't lose Simon he won't let that happen even if he has to lie.

"I am asking you something, Zhan!"

"I am sorry brother but I was glad that you forgot everything."

"What?"

"Yes, brother the truth is that everyone at our parents' house had abused us and beat us and no one helped us moreover our very father and mother tried to kill us that's why you lost your memory.

But thankfully I was able to find master and she took us in, but Brother now we are back we can take revenge for everything we have when through and the third prince he will help us."

Simon was lost after listening to all this, "all these years you wanted to come back here for..."

"Revenge." Zhan said and smiled slightly, "all these years I have trained hard and prepared myself to come across for revenge and ruin everyone who had abused us.

I shall not forgive anyone who had hurt us, Brother." Zhan said and for one Simon felt chills run down his spine when he saw his younger brother.

Zhan's eyes were filled with an unknown emotions and his smiled seemed sinister completely evil, Zhan had spent ten years with him with Yanli so there is no way that something has happened to Zhan in these ten years because Simon was always with him.

Them maybe Zhan is right, some people must have abused him and most probably Simon as well but only he remembers and Simon doesn't because Zhan will not hate someone so intensely without a reason.

"Brother," Zhan placed a hand on Simon's shoulder," please, your younger brother needs your help, I couldn't ruin those people alone and I can't leave you alone so please..."

Simon sighed, "who are our parents?"

"Duke Seth WeiXiao and te Duchess Irene WeiXiao."

Now Simon was shocked out of his wits, "how can that be the Duke and the Duchess? Our parents.''

"It's a true brother and they didn't try to kill us."

"But why would they?"

"How can I know brother, but don't you trust me? I am not lying."

"It's not that, but..."

"But what Brother?" Zhan was getting anxious now.

"I don't feel anything towards them and even if they tried to kill us we are still alive, aren't we? And we also had a good life Why go for revenge then?"

Zhan's face had lost any expression as he stared at Simon with emotionless eyes which made Simon shiver.

"Why go for revenge? Of course, you won't understand what they did because you don't remember anything fine, then I'll let you go."

Simon might not remember but Zhan remembers everything single thing, every single abuse torture, and misery they had given him.

The Duke neglected him and abused Simon for years before he finally killed him and tortured Zhan for days

How can Zhan forget those days of brutal torture where every day of life was worse than death.

Simon sighed, "alright no need to be so grumpy we have won a competition and we should enjoy let's not argue."

Zhan still didn't look at Simon, "will you help me or not ?"

"Do I even have a choice here? I can't leave you alone so yeah sure I will help you."

Zhan subconsciously smiled and jumped when Simon poked a finger on his stomach, "are you a child? Why are you behaving like one huh!" Simon said and kept on tickling Zhan.

"Stop Brother." The two laughed.

Suddenly a guard approached them," Sir, the prince as ordered to tell you that there will be a party held two days later in Honor for the two of you and the prince himself has sent you clothes for the occasion"

Simon replied, "alright you can keep it here and leave" once the guard left Simon examined the clothes" hmm...they look right, Zhan."

"Yes Brother," Zhan said even though he was smiling his heart was in turmoil.

I am sorry for lying to you brother if worse comes to worst I will make you remember your last life but I pray that day shall never come.

Author's note: let's pray that these Brothers shall always stand side by side and not against each other because that would be sad.

Today I feel a little unwell but I can't even rest because I have so many ideas that I am afraid I'll go crazy if I don't write damn it sucks.

Yeah so I'll take an hour of a break because my eyes hurt a lot, and I also need to update my other book.
