The wet soil was poured over the casket by people dressed in black to show mourning over the death of their loved ones.

The sky was cloudy as if sad as if it was mourning as well after seeing the destruction on the land.

All the soldiers were given a respectful funeral. Yibo and Zhan stood in front of Haoxuan's grave as they kept the rose on it.

Next, they moved to Aurelia's grave and paid their respect.

The kings from the neighboring kingdoms have come as well. Not much destruction was caused on the border, because Aval, Alice, Xander, and Sage guarded large parts of the borders hence the soldiers over their welcomed the Monarchs of other nations as they were instructed even the Monarchs also knew which part of the border posed threat and which not.

Hence not many people die on the border.

Even inside the capital, not many people died but the ones who died were very important and left an impact.

"In the holy presence of the goddess of Darkness Duat and goddess of light Ankh, in the presence of the respectable nobles and servants of this nation, in the presence of the loved citizens of this nation, I, hereby in the name of god pass this empire of Moon, this empire of Sean to Princess Wen Qing."

The priest announced, "Duke of north please do this honor." Mostly the previous monarch crowns the next monarch or if not them then someone other than him or her who has the highest authority.

Priest or priestesses cannot do this since they have no control over political power.

And in this case, it was Yibo, he took the beautiful heavy crown and gently put it on Wen Qing's head. He then turned and gave her the royal sword as well which she took respectfully.

"Princess Wen Qing is now the Queen of the Gealch Empire." The priest yelled and the crowd clapped in the crowd were Zhan, Yanli, Simon, Zhehan, and Cheng, "Your majesty, please take your oath."

Wen Qing came forward wearing a very elegant costume with purple pants and an upper purple button-up shirt with various stars and ornaments with a beautiful and heavy red cape and above her head was a beautiful golden crown with a beautiful Diamond decorating it. 

She addressed the crowd with a smile and firm voice, "To my nobles, to my people of Gealach, I Wen Qing, am your new servant, I shall do my utmost to serve you, to make this empire prosper, to make my people happy. In the holy presence of the Goddess Ankh and Duat in the presence of my loyal nobles and temple priest, I swear that I shall live and die for this empire.

Every breath that will leave my body will be for my people. Every decision will be for the betterment of my empire, I hereby ask for your support and love during my journey as a monarch."

The crowd erupted with cheers and clapping.

Yibo and the others also clapped with bright smiles on their faces.

In the first royal court session of Wen Qing, many things were discussed the first and foremost the demands of the provinces were heard.

And their taxes were reduced to ten to fifteen percent and any other ridiculous law that was imposed on them was taken back.

The next thing that was worked on was giving the facilities to the families of the Soldiers who died in the rebellion.

And in the next session,  the third thing that was discussed was the caste system, after many discussions, the caste system was finally abolished. Slavery was also abolished and to make sure that people followed the rules a law was made that said that anyone who followed slavery or the caste system, will be publicly stoned to death.

And the freedom to practice any religion was also given, any violence against any person due to religion would be dealt with accordingly.

And the fourth thing was Cassandra's punishment, after many discussions, the decision was taken that Cassandra will be tied to a stake and stoned to death before being burned, in public.

Wen Qing was very distressed never in a million years she had thought that there will be a day when she would sentence her mother to such a brutal death.

Her face had a deep frown as much as it hurt her there is no way she was going to cry or ask pity or mercy for her mother, she deserved it, everything she has put people through this was Karma coming back to her.

That's how she consoled herself as she sat in her garden quietly alone, she closed her eyes as she tried to control herself, and while she was drowning in this dilemma she suddenly felt someone sitting beside her and gently holding her hand.

And she did not need to open her eyes to know who it was, as the smell of sandalwood told her it was someone for whom her heart longed.

"What are you doing here lord Cheng?"

"I just came to check on you."

"What do you want to check?"

Cheng did not reply immediately, "If you feel bad for your mother then it's alright there is nothing to be ashamed of it."

Wen Qing opened her eyes and looked at him, "After what my mother put you through how can I..."

"Sh... what your mother did to me is my problem, at this moment I am fine, I had my family and I still do, while your mother is the one who is going to die, a little bit of sadness is understood after all she is your mother your majesty."

After hearing this it felt like a wall of the dam was broken becuase tears slipped from her eyes without control, Cheng said nothing he gently grabbed her hand and pulled it making her keep her head on his shoulder, as she cried silently, while he kept his hand around her gently tapping her shoulder quietly sitting beside her.

After some time Wen Qing stopped crying and Cheng gently wiped her face, before he smiled, "Congratulations on the way you fulfilled one of your wishes which was to become the monarch."

Wen Qing smiled faintly as well, "I want to fulfill my second wish as well and for that, I will be needing your help."

Despite knowing what that wish was he still played innocent, "Oh what is the second wish?"

"My second wish is to marry the person sitting right in front of me, with whom I have been in love for more than ten years." She finally said it, the thing that was becoming a huge burden on her heart she finally let it out. 

Cheng smiled brightly feeling so happy that he had no control over it, "Consider it done."

When Wen Qing heard that she felt that she was on cloud nine, she was so happy that she did not think about anything else as she moved forward and attacked her lips with that Cheng who hugged her tightly and pulled her closer to him.

Wen Qing broke the kiss and kept her chin on Cheng's shoulder unwilling to let go as she whispered in his ear, "I love you, Cheng."

Cheng whispered back having his strong arms still around her, "I love you too. A-Qing"

Cassandra was tied to the stake as she was presented to the people, her eyes held no life and her tongue was cut off as well, one had was gone and the other was twisted bizarrely, after days of torture she thought that death was better, the lower caste people and the slaves who had suffered stood in front their eyes held anger and pain after being tortured for no reason for years.

Yibo spoke, "My beloved people, this person is the reason for your suffering her heinous crimes are the result many of you have suffered a fate worse than death, today is the day this sinner shall be punished.

 My people pick the stones and serve justice by your own hands."

The previously called lower caste people held anger and fire in their eyes and a pregnant woman picked the stone first her husband was killed just because he walked by a nobleman and nothing was done for him, her house was taken and her other kid died.

She threw the stone first and then the crowd followed no one showed any mercy to her, stones after stone collided with her body, at some point her head suffered severe damage, and after around an hour, she was completely covered with her blood before she breathes her last.

And after she had stopped breathing, Wen Qing raised her hand making the crowd stopped, she had not taken her eyes off her mother, her expression was unreadable seeing her mother go through something like this was hard very, very hard.

And the others sympathized with her, she gulped and said to Cheng, "Lord Cheng, proceed with the burning." her voice came out rough, She wanted her mother to just go now, as long as she stayed here she will keep on making other's life miserable or keep on getting tortured. Zhehan was right beside her looking as the punishment proceeded.

Cheng nodded and went to the stake with a burning torch, he gave one last glance to Cassandra, he remembered his comrades who had died right before his eyes, and the one who caused them misery was dead now, finally his teammates got justice.

The thought gave him relief and some sort of redemption before he finally burned, the stake of the fire slowly ate away Cassandra's body.

Simon also breathed a sigh of relief, his coming back to the past did not waste.

 He looked at the bright sky and smiled, thanks to the goddess for giving him another chance and thanks to Sean for guiding him.

He felt redeemed. 

People slowly left, Wen Qing also left followed by Zhehan and Cheng also went after her, he knew that Wen Qing needed him.

Whereas Yanli along with sage went to carry on her work.

"Shall we go home?" Yibo asked him, Simon nodded since their house was burned the three of them including Yanli and Cheng had been living in Aurelia's cottage, and that has been their home any place with family was home.

"Let's go," he said as he walked in between Zhan and Yibo with a grateful smile.
