When Yibo and Zhan arrived at the marquis's residence, they met with Simon, who was alone on the ground.

"Simon?" Yibo said to him, practicing alone, and Zhan saw him. Simon saw his father and ran towards him, "Yes, father? What are you doing here?"

"Where is your master?"

"Master said that it was my day off today, so I thought I will practice alone today," Simon said and Yibo looked at Zhan who went towards Cheng's room.

Once Zhan reached his room, it was already half-opened and So Zhan entered without any hesitation. His eyes widened when he saw the havoc in the room.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" He asked as he went to Cheng, "I am asking something and you better answer."

He went forwards and shook Cheng who was still sitting on the floor and he slowly opened his eyes, "What do you want?"

"Why didn't you take Simon's class today?"

"I didn't want to."

"That's not how it works Cheng do..."

"I know, I know nothing works the way I want... now what do you want?"

Zhan sighed, "Haoxuan told me that you behaved weirdly yesterday when you went to rescue Jasper what happen Cheng did you see something?"

Cheng sighed and looked around but all the alcohol bottles around him were already empty so he sighed and tried to get up but couldn't however Zhan helped him to sit on the bed.

He last beside him, "Cheng you have to answer my question, please... I am begging you."

Yibo came to the room as well and his reaction was the same as Zhan's, "Cheng I am asking you something talk to me please."

"You will think that I am insane."

Zhan's heart broke when he heard that, it was all his fault that his own brother does not trust him anymore, Yibo clenched his fists as well, But Zhan asked again, "Listen if you are going to say that you saw god I am going to belive you, I know my brother I know that you are normal you are not insane.

It's people like Callum and Queen, I am sorry brother but you have to tell me or else I am not leaving this place."

Cheng was silent for some time and his silence was giving Zhan anxiety but thankfully Cheng spoke, "Back then when I went to that place, I think I have really been there before.

But not Callum's a place similar to it, I remember that one month when I disappeared I know I was held somewhere, I can remember everything that happened in that place but I don't remember how I came out, I don't remember where is that place all I remember after days of staying in that place I woke up near the ocean shore."

Zhan was speechless after he heard that and he looked at Yibo who was as worried as him.

Yibo slowly came forward being careful not to knock any battle or the mess on the floor as he sat beside Cheng, "Cheng, do you believe that you were held in the same place as Jasper."

Cheng shook her head, "No, it was different, the structure was somewhat the same as the secret passage and everything but where I was held, that place was pure evil... I... I don't know "

Zhan could feel Cheng becoming stiff before he bent down and held his head in his hand, "Cheng?"

Zhan called out but in return, he heard a loud, earth-shaking roar from Cheng,

"HAAAAAAAA!!!!" Cheng suddenly stood up and started throwing the things here and there Yibo and Zhan also stood you.

"EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING IS MESS, EVERYTHING IS RUINED IT'S GONE MY LIFE IS  GONE!!!"

"Cheng calm down!!" Zhan said and grabbed him from completely destroying his from, the visit from the last night was sudden and unexpected it triggered a lot of bad memories and buried anger and sadness inside Cheng's heart.

"The fear and anger finally overpowered everything making him want to destroy everything that comes in front of him.

"CALM DOWN!"

Cheng took a deep breath and moved back, "Just leave, I don't want to talk to anyone. I have really lost my mind"

"Cheng..." Yibo tried to say something but Cheng just raised his hand telling him to stop, "Just leave... I... don't want to talk anymore."

Zhan wanted to say something but Yibo grabbed his hand and squeezed it, as much as it hurt him to see Cheng like that, he knew that pressing more will only cause Cheng to break.

So he dragged Zhan outside, but once they came out they saw Wen Qing over there, she looked in pain just like the two of them.

Zhan bowed before her and left while Yibo followed him.

"Zhan...."

"Zhan!!!"

"Zhan! Wait." Yibo said and grabbed his hand but Zhan turned around and that's when Yibos aw the sheer agony in his eyes, "I can't see him like that anymore Yibo I can't, that person in there is not my brother that I once knew, that person is not Cheng."

Yibo nodded and gently moved forward he grabbed Zhan's hand and spoke in a gentle and slow voice, "I know... I know... I do..."

Zhan couldn't hold back his tears anymore, "It;'s all my fault... everything is my fault."

This made Yibo frown, "How is it your fault?"

"It is, It was I that Cheng always looked up to, it was I who always bragged about how great it was to serve this nation to be a part of the force to fight wars... it was I who encouraged him, it was I who made the queen look like a fairy descended from heaven... but in reality she is..."

Zhan passed and took a deep breath. "I should have listened to you when you said how vile this empire is."

Yibo sighed and hugged him, "You need to calm down, Zhan..."

"I can't."

"Zhan." Yibo and Zhan's attention was grabbed by a third voice and they looked towards the voice owner.

It was Yanli standing there with a hard face and cold eyes.

Zhan wiped his tears, "Elder sister..."

Yanli spoke in a firm voice this time, "come with me."

"Where sister?"

Yanli replied, "We are going to find some clues about this blood cult of Mithras."

Zhan and Yibo looked at her confusedly, "But how sister?"

Yanli replied, "Just come with me and duke you stay here, please."

Yibo nodded, "But can I ask where are you going?"

Dennis was covered with blood and injuries as she sat in the corner of the prison in terror of death.

The silence of a day before death was heavy than anything as he held his head in his hand and cried, over his fate,  but a few seconds later a voice was heard.

The door opened and in walked two figures, "Duke Dennis."

Yanli spoke as she came forwards and Dennis looked at her and Zhan before he smiled, "Are you here to mock me to smile at me?"

Yanli smiled, "If only I had that much time to waste but alas unlike you I have some responsibility towards this kingdom."

"Then why are you here?"

Zhan answered, "to ask you a few questions."

Dennis smirked, "Do you really think that I will help you?"

Zhan replied, "do you really think you have a choice? your family is still out there if you want them safe then better answer or I can make them join you as well."

Dennis's smile vanished, "What do you want?"

Zhan sat before him and looked at him in the eyes before he spoke in a rough and child voice that sent shivers down Dennis's spine, "The cult of Mithras... "

Dennis's gulped as Zhan spoke, "What do you know about it?"

Yanli added, "You better answer unless you don't want your family to end up like you if you help us then  we will make sure that your family remains untouched."

Dennis shivered as he looked around as if scared that someone might hear him, "my family will really be safe right?"

Zhan spoke, "You have my word."

Dennis gulped, "Then I will tell you all I know."

Author's note: I wrote this chapter while hearing this song it's actually sinister and innocent at the same time giving you goosebumps I feel like this song suits this story, tell me your thoughts about it.
