Something was wrong and Simon can feel it.

Something was very wrong.

This feeling of dread that something precious to him was going to take away from him was making him overwhelmed.

He couldn't focus on anything today.

For example, as he was running he didn't notice the rock in the middle of his way and accidentally tripped on it.

His face landed on the ground and he groaned. 

"What's wrong with you, Today?" Cheng asked him as he came from behind.

"Master I feel like something wrong."

Cheng sighed and dismissed it, he didn't think that there was something going on, "Nothing is wrong just focus on your practice."

Simon also dismissed his thoughts nothing major happened during this time in his last life so there is nothing he should be worried about.

Yibo was in the forest with his bow and arrows and Haoxuan was behind him.

Haoxuan was on alert this time he was looking around, protecting his duke.

While Yibo was looking for the villager and he found one, he looked terrified and was hovering Yibo lowered his bow, "I will save you come with me."

The woman nodded and walked towards him but before he could go near him she was shit by Callum who laughed with victory.

Yibo glared at him and moved in the other direction, this time he saw a child, a shivering child looking around crying badly Yibo's heart clenched at this, this child didn't seem much older than Simon.

Determined to save this child, Yibo walked towards him but he also saw the duke of Callum who already had his arrow pointed at the child.

Callum smirked at Yibo and shot the arrow towards the child, but this time Yibo took out his arrow and shot it as well but not towards the child towards Callum's arrow, breaking it in half and saving the child.

Yibo ran towards the child and picked him up in his arms. Tying a cloth around his arms, was proof that the child was saved by him.

After handing that child over to Haoxuan Yubo moved forwards to look for others if he managed to save more people than Callum killed then he will win or else Callum will kill the people he saves.

Moving forward, Yibo came across many other people and he saved them, but as time passed Yibo suddenly got dizzy.

And his vision was getting blurry as well as his body was getting weak.

"Duke are you alright?" Haoxuan asked, after he saw Yibo's sweaty forehead and his shivering hands he also noticed that Yibo's pace was slowed down but before Yibo could reply he suddenly fell onto his knees and puked out the contents of his stomach followed by the blood.

Haoxuan's eyes widened and he sat down beside Yibo, "Duke I am going to take you back and I am not going to listen to anything." he said and placed Yibo's hand around his neck and picked him up, by this time Yibo had nearly lost all his balance and power.

His energy to even keep his eyes open was gone as well.

But as Haoxuan was taking Yibo with him he heard some noises and took out his sword in the next moment some bandits came out of the woods and pointed their swords at Haoxuan.

"Holy shit."

Haoxuan said, and looked around, how is he going to fight them all alone.

But he didn't think much he put Yibo down, and told him, "Duke doesn't sleep, please.. keep your eyes open if you sleep then you will never be able to see lord Simon again. And these people will go after lord Simon."

With that Haoxuna stood in front of Yibo and challenged the guards, "bastards."

The bandits attacked him and he also charged forward, Haoxuan's attacks were vicious and more aggressive than the bandits the man was a total monster because he had no tile to stall sp he went for the heads, one swift move and the bandits fell on the floor dead.

While Yibo felt as if his insides were getting squeezed but and he felt immense pain he fought to keep his eyes open. When did Callum manage to give him poison? but then he looked t his hand he got a wound and then washed his hand and then the bandage.

Yibo ripped off the bandage and saw the skin around the wound rotting.

So it was the water or perhaps the bandage that was poisoned and that's how poison entered his body.

While the child that he had saved before slowly came to him and sat beside him, "Duke."

Yibo looked at him as he breathed heavily and the child spoke, "duke... all the slaves are going to kill you..."

Yibo frowned and looked at the slaves who looked scared and seemed to be fighting and were in distress.

The child spoke, "The duke of south told them that if they kill you when you are down, he will let them go and give their land back to them... he also told them that he will spare their children."

Yibo closed his eyes and sighed, the slaves however looked at him, "Ima going to kill him."

"Why? he saved us."

"Look at him can you really think that he can save us? no, he cannot, we can only save ourselves."

"I will kill him, or else the duke will send my daughter to the brothel and he will kill my three-year-old son."

"No, I will kill him."

The salves fought amongst each other while the kid tapped Yibo's cheeks and helped him stay awake, "don't sleep duke please don't sleep."

Yibo sighed and slowly very slowly stood up, his body seemed to be turned to that of stone, his body was frozen and the slaves looked at him.

They pointed their knives at him and looked at the kid as well, "Traitor you told him!"

They told the kid but he still stood firmly in front of Yibo, "If you kill him then no one will stand for us."

The slaves cried as well, "But if we don't our family will be killed. Just like how he beheaded your parents in front of you they will kill our children in front of us as well."

Haoxuan who was fighting the bandits saw the commotion and stood near duke, "That bastard Callum, I will kill him."

One of the slaves dashed towards Yibo with a knife but Haoxuan beheaded him and pointed his sword at the slaves, "Callum that bastard will kill you no matter what you do, you all are nothing more than pests for him, remember that, and if you managed to turn both the duke of north and south against you then imagine how hellish your life would become."

The slaves shivered and backed off.

"Where are we supposed to go then?" one of them said and finally pointed the knife towards them, "I cannot love in this wretched world anymore, no one is there to listen to us." with that he stabbed himself with the knife.

Yibo was coughing more and more, while Haoxuan attacked the bandits, Yibo tried to move forward but one of the bandits managed to come past Haoxuan and stood near Yibo.

"I am going to kill you." The bandit spoke and the little boy stood in front of Yibo who was barely managed to stand, he has kicked the kid aside and was about to stroke his sword at Yibo but before his sword could reach Yibo he was beheaded by another person.

And soon Haoxuan was joined by four other people who killed the bandits one by one.

Their leader was by Yibo's side and helped him get on the horse.

"Hey who are you where are you taking him!!!"

Haoxuan yelled and the leader who was wearing a scarf winked at him before he drove the horse out of the woods as his assistant fought.

Seeing that Haoxuan also abandoned everything and sat on his force following the enigmatic person.
