The next day was free with no events so Riya decided to go visit Ketan. She was feeling unsure but felt that as much she hated him, he was still her dad and he did love her at one point and so did she. He had a right to know about her and what her life is like. Though she was also scared on how he would react to the news. At the breakfast table, Ali noticed her being lost and put her hand on his. "Hey.. if you don't want to do this you don't have to" he said honestly, looking in her eyes. "Ali I'm just nervous on his reaction but as a father he has a right to know about me and Aliya and our child" she replied. "Ok let me check on Aliya and then we'll go together ok?" he asked. She nodded while he kissed her forehead.

At the orphanage, Riya met Aliya and hugged her tightly. "My baby! How are you?" she asked. "I'm good mumma but what about you? Why do you look sad?" she asked. "I'm not sad baby. When I have my angel, I can never be upset" she replied. "Mumma you know what I do when I feel like that. I close my eyes and I think of a happy moment that I spent with my loved ones. Then that makes me feel happy" she said. "Wow baby! If you don't mind me asking but what loved moment do you think of?". "It was a walk that we went to in Central Park. Everyone was so happy. Nani, Badi nani, Badi Nanu, Papa and you. We did a picnic where me and Badi Nanu teamed up and teased Badi Nani who didn't talk to Nanu for 1 hr and i played games with papa. It was a happy moment".  Riya smiled at this and gave her a daughter a kiss on the cheek. "Baby thank you so much! Mumma feels better now". "Sachi?" she cried. "Muchi". Aliya smiled and gave her a sloppy kiss on the cheek and a hug. Riya then left her to the kids while thinking about Aliya said. "Maybe it's true" she thought. She closed her eyes and thought of the happiest moment that she spent with her loved one.  She then thought of the moment of when they celebrated Aliya first bday. Aliya had managed to get cake on Ali hair and Riya laughed at this while Ali was not amused and smashed some cake on her. Bad mistake on his side as she had chased him around the table. Everyone around was laughing looking at the new parents. Remembering that memory definitely made her feel better. "Aliya was right" she thought. She then decided to leave and go to the jail.

At the jail, nervous wasn't something that would describe Riya's condition. It was more terrifying and fearing was how she felt. None the less, Ali gave her support and let her enter the jail. He decided to let her meet Ketan alone while he hid behind a wall and see the interaction.

It was after 11 years that Riya saw her father. He looked almost distinguishable with his hair turning gray and his heavy beard. His hair became a bit balding and thin but nonetheless she could still recognize him.

"Papa" she cried, looking at him after 11 years. Ketan looked upwards and saw her. His only daughter. "Riya" he cried putting his hands through the bars attempting to caress her face. "How are you my princess?" he asked. Riya nodded. "I am great Papa. You know I have a great job and I .." but before she finished he interrupted her. "Job? You are doing a job?" he asked being shocked. "Yeah I am a fashion designer". "Why are you doing a job?" "What do you mean? I do it because I enjoy it". "Oh I thought that you are married to a rich family then you wont have to work and just live a lavish life". "Well Papa, I enjoy my work and designing is my passion. My husband lets me pursue it". "Hmm" he replied looking around. Riya found it odd that he was looking around especially since she came to visit him after a long time. "Papa who are you looking for?" she asked. "Woh did Neil come with you?". Riya became confused at his question. Why would Neil come with her and why was her father interested in him. "Papa why would Neil come here?" she asked. "Well won't a father in law come see a son in law? and I was hoping for a bail". "Son in law? Bail?" Riya thought. "You want a bail?". Ketan nodded. "I am tired of staying here for no reason. I'm tired of being trapped by that sin. Avni ruined our lives" he stated. Riya couldn't believe what she heard. Here she was trying to connect with her father and all he could think of being out of jail and thinks he didn't do anything wrong. "Papa I need to tell you something". "Where is Neil? Why did he let his wife come alone?". "Neil and I am not married" she blurted. Ketan became shocked. "Why Riya? Why didn't you marry him huh? I thought you would after what Avni has done to you. I thought he would divorce her. And if you didn't marry him then who did you marry?" he asked angrily. "I married Ali". "Kya?! That chamko Cafe owner? He could never give you the life that you were raised by. He's the reason why you work right?". "Papa I am happy with Ali. We both love each other" . "Love is no thing. You marry a person to get a better life and I don't why you were foolish enough to believe that Ali would love you". Riya started crying not able to hear words against Ali. She felt a hand on her shoulder and looked behind. She saw Avni. Avni and Neil came to the jail to give a statement against Adhiraj and saw Ali there who motioned them to hide behind the wall. All three saw Riya conversation with Ketan and felt bad seeing this.
"Riya stop crying for a man who doesn't even care about you. Mr Mehta how will you experience love when you don't believe in it huh? All you see his money and greed. You never cared about family but just money. You don't care about the fact that your daughter is happy and that she came her to see you. She came here to meet you and tell you that you are going to become a grandfather again but you don't care. All you care is about getting bail. Well for the deeds you done, you deserve lifetime punishment. You asked why me and Neil didn't divorce. Well it's because we love each other but a stone hearted person wouldn't understand that" cried out Avni. "You! You are the reason behind this. You trapped me here. You are the reason behind my brother death as he died because he was talking about you. Your mom died because she gave birth to a najayaaz. You are a sin Avni. The society does not need  you . Just remember that everyone close to you died because of you!". Ketan word hurt her immensely. In a way he was right and right now she couldn't think straight. Meanwhile Riya was heartbroken seeing her dad like this. She started running and tripped only to be catched by Ali who had fury eyes at Ketan.  Remembering Ketan word made Avni dizzy and she started to get dizzy and almost fell only to be catched by Neil. Neil and Ali so wanted to talk to Ketan but knew that it wasn't the right time. They both supported their wives to the car and drove them to Neela Maa house as they didn't want the Khanna family or anyone else to know for time being . Riya and Avni immediately went to their rooms crying while Neil and Ali went to them. They both got the response that their wives wanted to be alone so they respected that. "Ali Yaar I wanted to punch that Ketan Mehta". "Same here. My heart broke when I saw Riya upset". "Let's do something" suggested Neil. "Idea!" Said Ali.

At night, Avni and Riya came out of the room with red and puffy eyes. The boys heart broke at this sight. They hated seeing their wives like this. "Hello wifey" Neil grinned. "Neil what is this?" she asked, pointing to the decorations of the living room. "Neil and I decided to do a movie night to make you feel better" Said Ali. Riya and Avni smiled at this.

The couples sat down at the couch and cuddled with their blankets around them. "Riya" Said Ali. "Hmm" she replied. "Don't take his words seriously. Love does exist and I found that out through meeting you and loving you". "Babes I was hurted at the fact that he still hasn't changed. But he was wrong about love. I love you and I always will". Ali smiled and gave her a kiss on her forehead.

"Avni, I know that you heard that you are a sin so many times and it's like a stab in the heart when I hear but I want confirm that you are not one and that you are my Avni. Who is special, fearless, a wonder and beautiful girl who I fell in love with. I don't care if you were born out of wedlock or not but I love you and our love is strong enough to endure this world".   Avni nodded. "Neil I know that our love is strong and I want to prove to the world that people like me are no different and we shouldn't be treated differently. You gave me everything that I asked for. A perfect family" she cried while Neil gave her a kiss on the cheek.
The couple settled in and watched the movie, Zindagi na Milegi Dobrara.
