Chapter 14
Sam's POV
I open my eyes slowly to see aunty sitting next to me.
"Sam?" Aunty says.
"I-I'm ok aunty." I say, slowly sitting up.
"Careful dear." She says.
I look down to see myself on the sofa with aunty, uncle, and Chay around me. It takes a moment but I remember what happened. Chay came in accusing me of being his wife and calling me a maid and shouting before I felt lightheaded and from the look of things, blacked out.
"She's fine, she just fainted, she didn't die." Chay says, malice clear in his voice.
"Shut up Chay!" Aunty shouts.
"No ma! I want her out of my house." He says. He looks at me. "Get the hell out of my house and never come back."
Tears form in my eyes. It's like he stabbed me through the heart. This isn't my Chay. This can't be my Chay.
"No, this is my house, not yours. You get out." Aunty shouts at him. "Sam is staying here."
"No, aunty please. Chay needs you now. I will go."
"Sam, honey, you don't need to. He has no right to throw you out like this."
"Aunty please. I'll go to the penthouse. I'll stay there until he's better."
"Sam-" uncle starts.
"Please uncle, don't stop me." I say before getting up and walking upstairs.
I pull out my phone and book an uber. Then, I pack my stuff into the small suitcase I had brought and take it downstairs.
"Sam, please dear, don't do this." Aunty says.
"I have to aunty. If you ever need me, don't hesitate to call." I say, hugging her.
"Take care dear." Uncle says, giving me a hug as well.
I walk out to find the uber driver waiting for me. I gesture for him to open the trunk and put my suitcase in there before closing it and looking at aunty and uncle with tears in their eyes. They both give me a big hug again before letting me go.
I open the car door and get in. I look back at them.
"Bye aunty, bye uncle." I say. Bye Chay. I say in my head before the car starts moving out of the driveway.
Chaithanya's POV
I don't say anything as Sam leaves. Instead, I go upstairs to my room. Mom and dad clearly seem sad but I don't care. I don't know that woman whom everyone says is my wife, and I don't care for her either. I love Naina, whom I need to talk to because according to Kaushik and Nani, she cheated on me. I need to know-
"AH!" I let out a scream as a sharp pain suddenly pierces through my head.
I fall to my knees, the pain unbearable, but a few moments later, the pain subsides. I close my eyes to steady myself a bit before getting up and walking over to my bed. I'm probably just overwhelmed from the rough day I had. I just found out the woman I love cheated on me and that some maid I don't even know is my wife, it's bound to make anyone's head hurt. I close my eyes and let sleep envelope me.

I ring the doorbell and wait for someone to answer the door. A few moments later the door opens, revealing a woman around 25 or 30.
"Who would you like sir?" She asks. She's probably the maid.
"Is Naina here?" I ask. I know she is because her scooty is here, but I wait for the maid to answer.
"Yes sir, who are you?"
"I'm her friend." I reply.
"Naina madam is in her room sir" The woman says.
"Ok, thank you." I reply. I walk up the stairs and to Naina's room.
I'm about to knock when I hear giggles. "Rajesh!" Naina's voice says, and my heart drops. This can't be happening.
I grab the door handle and throw the door open, causing Naina and the guy she's with to look at me with wide eyes. I take in the scene in front of me. They're on Naina's bed, and both of them are semi-clothed.
"Chay?" Naina says.
"What the hell?" I say.
"Chay, Chay, I can explain-" Naina says as I turn on my heel and start storming back the way I came.
"Explain what? That you are sleeping with another guy after asking me to marry you?" I turn around and shout. She stops in her tracks, not saying a word. "They were right about you." I spit out before turning and leaving.
****
I lie there in bed, unable to do anything. I don't have the energy. It's been about 8 months since I found out Naina was cheating on me and I can't get out of it. It hurts to be betrayed so badly.
Mom barely talks to me after I made Samantha get out of the house that day and Dad is not as close to me as he used to be. I took a break from the hospital, deciding it's best not to go back as I have no clue what happened there in the last two years that I currently have no recollection of.
"Chay, come have dinner." Dad says.
"Coming." I reply.
Pulling myself out of bed I walk downstairs and into the dining room. Sitting down, I serve myself some rice and rasam. Just as I'm about to put another spoon of rasam in my plate, I get a headsplitting headache, causing me to drop the spoon into the rasam, which does flying everywhere.
I yell out in anguish and fall from my chair onto the floor.
"Chay?!" I hear mom and dad yelling. They both rush over to my side. I press the sides of my head, hoping to alleviate some of the pain, but I can't, it hurts too much and it won't stop. That's when I see it, I see everything that happened in the past two years, the hospital, my home, the move, and my Sam.
I gasp as the headache slowly subsides. That's when it hits me. Sam, my sweet, loving, caring Sam, I hurt her, I said things that I didn't mean, things I hate myself for saying. I look up into Mom's worried eyes.
"I need to see Sam."
