-Chapter 1-
(AN- If you don't like the idea of domestic abuse then don't read.)
The first week of marriage had been bliss for Amy Pond. Romantic gestures, breakfast in bed, snuggles at night. It wasn't until the second week that she noticed her husband Rory change. He no longer complimented her, he'd shout at the slightest slip-up, whether it was Amy's cooking being (slightly) burned or her spilling tea on the floor. The third week only became worse. She was bombarded with hurtful insults like: 'Put some make-up on, I didn't sign up for an ugly wife!' , 'Stop wearing those skirts, you slut!' and many more. Amy hoped it would get better. More than hoped, she PRAYED it would get better. Unfortunately for her, she was far away from that miracle. It was the fourth week when she felt Rory Williams' inescapable temper...
He'd just came in after a painfully long shift in the hospital, exhausted and angry.
"Do something useful for once, woman, put the kettle on!" he shouted, startling the redhead. "What's for dinner, then? I'm absolutely starving," he added, putting his feet up on the coffee table whilst Amy pulled two mugs out of the kitchen cupboard.
"I was thinking perhaps we could out for dinner? Their's a new cafe in town that I've been meaning to try-" Before she could finish, she felt Rory's hand collide with her cheek with great force. She let out a painful cry as she brought her hand to her stinging cheek, spinning round to face him.
"You expect me to go out in public with you?!" he sneered, grabbing Amy's pale hand. He heard the kettle finish boiling when an idea popped into Rory's sinister mind.
"Hand could do with a bit of colour, don't you reckon?" he chuckled evilly, holding his wife's hand over the sink. He lifted the kettle full of scorching hot water from it's place and, ever so slowly, poured it over Amy's porcelain white hand (which immediately turned bright red.) Amy screamed in pain, prying her burning hand from Rory's firm grip. She was clutching it protectively to her chest when she heard a familiar noise that made her sigh in relief.
The TARDIS...
