The contest is to draw something you love about your country (I'm doing the subdivision) and explain why it's important to you and your country. As I live in the US of A I drew something about America.

It's colored in red, white, blue and inked with black. What I love most about America is the first amendment: right to freedom of religion, right to peaceful assembly, and right to freedom of speech. I chose this because the first amendment is one thing that really gives America the ability to be a free country. You have the right to be whatever religion you want without fear of being killed or forced to convert. You have the right to speak out against things without fear of being killed. You can assemble to show support for something. Hell, you can burn the American flag under the first amendment without reprimand. The fact America allows that shows how free of a place it really can be.

Admittedly this was kinda hard for me to do because I'm not very patriotic about my country because I think it has failed to live up to the name of the home of the free and the brave in some respects, but I do know that I believe that the first amendment is one of the best things about America. It's important to me because it shows me that the founding fathers tried to make sure that the land they fought for would continue to be a place of sanction for those who came here.
