Let's just say me and Lui became friends very fast. He was one of those kids that are quiet when you first meet them then get loud and crazy after you know them.

"You got a call phone?" He asks me when I closed the door to my locker.

"Nah. Too much money." I say, it was the truth.

He nods slowly and we began to walk down the hall, the last bell of the day already rung and people were starting to leave.

"Welp awesome friend, we shall now part ways for the day!" He says and I laugh a little.

"Till tomorrow Oh weird one!"

"Same here Oh awesome one."

We split ways and I start to skip home, having a friend can do that to you.

Well I do have friends, they just go to different schools, and far out. I'm not an outcast at school either, but I am a bit antisocial at times.

I make it to the driveway of the house and see the car wasn't there and I hum. Which means she isn't there.

I unlock the door and step in, locking it behind me. I went to turn on the light but the power didn't come on.

"Shit." I mumble. I went to find a torch and look for the electric meter.

I shuffle through my pocket and pull out a few coins.

"Should hold until tomorrow, as long as I turn off what I'm not using."

I walk to the kitchen after putting the torch up. I open the fridge and looked through everything to see if it was spoiled. The only thing that did spoil was the milk.

I pour it down the drain and rinse some hot water after it. Then I make me a sandwich, cut off the lights and headed to my room.

I drop the bag and heard a faint rip sound. I look down to the the knife tip sticking through the fabric. I grumble and finish my sandwich and carefully remove the knife.

Maybe I can just put it in the kitchen and be done with it. I shrug and put it in my drawer since I'm too lazy to walk and maneuver through the dark.

I open my bag and started my homework, which took a good half hour.

By now it was still before dark and I had nothing to do.

"Booooooorrrreeeeedddddd." I say while hanging upside down from the bed.

"Ttthhheeeennnn slllleeeeppppp."

"Goooodddd idddeeeaaa- WHAT THE CRANBERRIES LUI!?"

He barks out a laugh when I fell off the bed and landed on my head. I sit up and stare at him. "How'd you get in my house!?"

He only snorted and looks down at me. "You're window, you need a new lock, it's busted."

"You broke my lock?!"

"No, I was already broken."

I grumble and bit and went to my window to close it.

"Welp, welcome to my humble abode male human. There's nothing much and I think the electricity is going to go off in about two hours."

He snorts. "Meter low?"

I nod and sit on the foot of my bed. "Yep. And I'm broke so I might come to school smelly."

"How nice to hear."

"Yeah yea-"

I stopped talking when I hear the front door open and then close, followed by heavy footsteps.

Lui looks toward my door.

"Dad?"

"Stepmum I correct and he nods."

"Been there." He says a bit more quietly.

My room door is opened and there she is in all her hideous glory!

"Who the fuck told you you could have a friend over?"

"Me, myself and I." I say bluntly and she scowls.

"I'm having a boyfriend over, don't come out at all."

I make a face of disgust. "Of course, I don't want to hear you get fucked." I say and she turns red before slamming the door closed.

"The meter's low too!!!" I about back and begin to put on a hoodie.

"What you doing?"

"Finna go out. I honestly don't want to hear them fuck. It's not like regular fucking. Thing of two sumo wrestlers, and they're loud and she sounds like a dying animal."

Lui was in tears when I finished and clapped.

"Fucking beautiful!"

"I know." I slide my window up, "Let's go."

"Where?"

"Away from the dying whale, duh."

By the time I got back home or as night time, Lui went home.

I slide the window closed and walk to the light switch to cut it on.

It flickered and buzzed out.

I sigh, and take off my hoodie and jeans, and slide in bed. I'll use a neighbors shower something.

"I'm tired of this mother fucking boy, on my mother fucking bed!!" I yell as I came face to face with bleach face.

Before I can say anything else she places his hand over my mouth.

"I swear I will kill you if you struggle or fight back."

I stare and blink before nodding.

"Now, I'm going to take you somewhere, understand?" I nod slowly, I mean I value life.

He let's me go and sits up, I do to.

"You stink, he says and I pout. "Well that's what happens when you don't have electricity."
