Thanks for tagging me Borntosingwithdrama! This is a pretty cool tag

Fanfiction Tag

1. Out of all your works, which one would be your favourite?

Hectic Hogwarts Years probably

But I really love Unboring Life and Forever and Ever. I could re-read those two until the end of time without shame

2. What's the easiest genre to write, in your opinion?

Fanfiction, haha. That's because the world and all its characters are already there for you, and you only need to write a good plot.

3. What's your opinion on self-insert fics? (Reader x Character)

I don't mind them, but they can get really annoying to read. I read one called Cryophobia which is an AMAZING and absolutely genius Undertale fanfiction, but the (h/c) and (e/c) stuff really disrupted the flow for me.

4. How do you get your inspiration to write?

It just comes to me usually in random situations.

I learned about split personality disorder in psychology class and I was like "oh this character of mine actually fits it really well."

I was watching my classmates Shawn and Sherman interact once and I was like, "lol I should make a couple based on them..." BOOM, Xavier and Quentin.

I hated this guy so I thought "hm I'm going to create an evil character based on him with his name."

I got inspired to write Forever and Ever from fan art. Like jesus, Claire. Calm down.

Many times I also get inspired by reading other stories or watching some TV show. Like if I see a really popular cliché I think of how I can put an unexpected spin on it.

Two examples I've been thinking about

• Two people get into a bet of who can get this guy to fall in love with them. But oNE oF thEm's A GuY!! And then there's this whole thing of guessing which way the target guy swings

• Noah wakes up next to the most popular girl in school with no memory of what happened last night...but wait, why are they covered in blood? And why are his neighbours dead?

5. Do you suffer from Writer's Block? If so, how often?

Pretty often, whenever I lose inspiration or don't know how to continue. I got it with Demigods At Hogwarts near the end, and I've been holding off High School War Zone for AGES.

I'm taking more than a month to write the epilogue of Your Name because I can't figure out what jobs the characters would have in the future.

6. Which Fandom is your favourite to write for?

Omg...

A definite tie between Percy Jackson and Harry Potter

I especially love the characters of the former and the world of the latter

7. How long are your chapters usually?

Around 2000 words.

8. What is your favourite genre to write?

Fanfiction because it's easier lol

9. So you only write for one Fandom, or do you write for many?

Many. I've got PJO, KC, HP, Hunger Games, Youtube, anime, video games...probably a TMI one about my Raphael someday

10. Do you take requests? Commisions?

No commissions, and, hm, not really requests? I listen to suggestions, definitely. If enough people suggest it, it becomes a request though lol

11. What is your most popular fanfiction?

Demigods At Hogwarts by far. I'm glad it is, because even though it has tons of flaw, I'm proud of it. Demigods go to Hogwarts though.... *winces painfully*

12. How many stories have you written?

About 20 on Wattpad, but way more just on the side, or for school.

13. Would you consider writing Fanfiction your 'thing' or just a hobby?

Definitely my thing.

14. Do you read other Fanfictions?

YES.

15. What's the best advice you can give other Fanfiction writers?

PLAN THE STORY.

I mean unless it's the type of story that does not need a plan (like a Facebook or truth or dare story), a rough outline can really help you know where you want to take it and even prevent writer's block. It also helps you see if you really want to write it. Lots of times I'm in the middle of an outline and I'm like, "uh, never mind. I don't like this idea after all." Also, knowing what's going to happen later lets you do some nifty foreshadowing ;)

And secondly, don't be afraid to post it! We all start somewhere. My first fanfictions were horrible, too. Comments and suggestions from readers are very valuable.

16. Do you believe the stereotype that all Fanfiction is smut?

How could I?? I literally write smut-less Fanfiction.

I mean, okay, maybe Hectic Hogwarts Years is going to have one implied bit (*cough* look forward to the Yule Ball, kids) but like...no.

17. Do you write smut/mature fics?

Nope. I do have stories with swearing and mature language/jokes, and slight suggestions and hints, but that's it :3

18. Is there a story that you're not exactly fond of?

Demigods go to Hogwarts and Repair Queen

There are so many capital letters in them and they're so immature

I can't even revise them because I can't read them without cringing

19. How many years have you been practicing Fanfiction?

I like how it's 'practicing' like it's a medical profession.

Since 5th grade, so that was more than 6 years ago

20. How often do you update your stories?

My average is two weeks lol, but it varies a ton

21. Does it bother you when you read another fanfic and the characters aren't in character?

Nah, unless their personalities become annoying or the author claims they're in character

22. Is it easy or hard for you to write?

Usually easy, since I have a lot of stories so I always feel like writing at least one of them

23. Do you want original characters in your fanfics?

Hahahahhaha yes of course

Harry Potter does not have a lot of Slytherin students so I had to invent like a dozen of them for Hectic Hogwarts Years

Drew, Wilby, Cyndee, Gracelyn, Xavier, Quentin, Carolina, Torch, Eliza, Isabell, Walter, Jack...yep and that's just the Slytherins

24. Have you ever written a fanfiction about your favourite ship/couple?

Septiplier... *hides shame*

Liper once...

And I even made a spin-off book with Quentin and Xavier...

25. Do you ever taken inspiration from your life and add it to your stories?

YES. Someone even noticed the similarities between the lunch scene of High School War Zone and My Unboring Life.

I once made a Final Destination fanfic and literally 80% of the characters were named after real classmates. Bad idea? Probably.

Quite a few original characters are based on people I know, and fun fact - Carolina Fernández and Quentin are both based on myself.

26. Who is your favourite Fanfiction author? Or regular author?

Fanfiction author - jilliancares on AO3...they make really good phanfictions. One of them's even in the PJO universe

Regular author - Rick Riordan :3

27. Do you have any inspirational figures?

Taylor Swift and Avril Lavigne...my queens that climbed their way to their top with their talent and wonderful personalities

A Youtuber I really look up to is MatPat. He's a video game commentator but makes such genius theory videos...like what?? He scored perfect on the SATs and was valedictorian. He's so nice and wise too...

I also have to thank him for his Hunger Games survival videos because they really helped me figure out what Annabeth's strategies would be

And PewDiePie, of course. His kind of honesty is rarely found.

28. Have you made any headcanons / Alternate Universes for your fic?

Rick Riordan's Hunger Games...Your Name...

Wait, all my crossovers are alternate universe haha

29. How long does it take you to normally write a story?

Months to years...
