"I will do everything to mend my mistake Ahaan please give me a chance," she pleaded and tried to hold his wrist but he jerked it off and stormed away from her saying, "Don't ever show your face to me Rhea" No he can't go away just like that. She thought and ran behind him.

"Ahaan please stop! Ahaan please Ahaannn!" She screamed, then came to a halt, realising she had fallen asleep on the chair outside Ishqi ward and everything was a dream. She took a deep breath of relief and relaxed. It was a bad dream, and the thought of telling him everything was terrifying; if he discovers that she knew everything and still kept it from him, he will despise her.

So she decided it was best to leave things alone. She won't tell him anything because it happened in the past, and the past should be buried. And they've both moved on; Ishqi is going to marry Mayank, and Ahaan now despises her; it's not the same as it used to be. And Mayank, who is madly in love with Ishqi, will be devastated if the truth is revealed, so she decided it's best not to reveal it now.

She thought to do as Ishqi had told her to, she will take care of him she will be there along his side in his ups and down that was a promise she had made to Ishqi and she was going to keep her promise. She looked at Ishqi from the glass and said, "I will take care of him Ishqi and rest I will leave to fate"

"Rhea?" She turned around to see Mayank approaching her, wiping her face she quickly turned around and asked, "Did you speak with Massi?"

"Yeah, I told her she and my parents were coming straight to the hospital," he replied, and she nodded. Meanwhile, Ahaan returned, handing the medicines to the doctor and peering through the glass wall at Ishqi.

And at that moment, when she saw that fear and concern for Ishqi she questioned herself again. Was she doing right? He may despise her but his action, speak something else. That love, that longing for her to be safe was still the same then how it is right to hide?

She moved away from there and came to a halt in front of the Ganpati Bappa idol, where she sobbed before the Almighty. "Bappa I'm not sure if withholding the truth from Ahaan is the correct thing to do.

However, I'm at a loss for words. If I tell him right now, he'll hate me, and I'll deal with it, but what about Mayank? Even if he understands the situation, I saw the look on his face when I told him to cancel the engagement. He adores her, and what if Ishqi had truly moved on? Bappa, please assist me. I'm not sure what to do at the moment. Please show me the way and give me some strength, and I will do what is best for them. They are both good souls who deserve to be happy, so please help me, Bappa."

He gazed at her through the glass pane; she was pale and strained, and his hands itched to remove those stress lines and embrace her in his arms and reassure her that everything was fine, that he was here when her eyes fluttered and she blinked them open. She groaned in pain holding her head, medicine was making her feel dizzy, her throat was aching she needed water. When she looked at her side the jar was empty, so she looked around for someone to call when she noticed him looking at her through the glass with those eyes which always shone with love for her and at that moment her heart skipped a beat.

They couldn't take their eyes off each other, they wanted to hold each other, and when Ishqi tried to sit up, Ahaan dashed to the door, opened it, and was about to rush in when a force from behind pushed him to the side.

"Meri bachi! What happened, how are you Ishqi?" Her Massi sobbed, clutching her close, but her gaze was fixed on the man, who was now aware of his surroundings and stormed out of the room, wiping away the lone tear that had escaped his eye.

Pulling out his car from the parking lot he drove off to his home. He was feeling restless, his thoughts were drifting to her again and again so he speeds off but when he stopped the car in front of his house the first thing that came to his mind was her panicking face looking at him.

"Ahh!" He shouted banging his hand on the steering wheel. Taking a breath he tried to relax and went inside his house but her thought was not leaving him.

"Why am I feeling so restless? She's alright now doctor said so then why am I even thinking about her. Humanity, yeah that's right have emotions so I feel bad for her health. I not heartless like her," he concluded slumping down on the couch, the reason he gave to ease his mind was not worth specifying his heart because it was still restless and he couldn't help it.

That terrified expression when Mayank manhandled her, the relief she showed when he took her in his arms, and the desire to protect her at the time by punching Mayank for forcing her, and then the kiss in the car. He remembered it and loved it just as much as before; it was as if that kiss reawakened all the feelings he had been suppressing for so long. Her lips still felt the same, they still synced the same as before, and she enjoyed it as much as he did, he could tell. Then why did you leave Ishqi? What made you do that?

He took out his phone and looked at her photo, which was still saved in his gallery. He may have shown that he despises her, but he could never bring himself to forget her memories, which he always treasured.

"I despise your presence Ishqi I really do, but then why? Why do I always hear your voice? Why do I always see you when I close my eyes, even though I despised you for so long? I can still remember the stupid things you used to say, all those catchphrases, what did they all mean in the end? I found you annoying a lot of the time, but trust me I loved that side of yours. Your this mesmerizing smile always lift spirits, we were happy together Ishqi but then you hurt me, you hurt me with that refined look of innocence you have. Was it all a hoax, Ishqi? Our memories, your love."
He asked, sobbing, clutching his phone close to his chest.

In the hospital, Mayank stood outside Ishqi's ward. His mind was battling whether he should or should not go inside. He took glances at her from the small glass on the door. Seeing her lying on the hospital bed pained his heart. He wished he could just erase whatever happened.

"Mayank, you okay?" Rhea tapped on his shoulder.

Mayank just nodded his head and hugged Rhea.

"Mayank I understand," Rhea caressed his back. She could not see her brother in this miserable state. She decided to make both of them talk because until they don't exchange words and clear everything nothing was going to become normal. Even Mayank needed to speak his heart out in front of Ishqi. He had to right to at least tell her that he did not mean to hurt her. And also she wanted to know what Ishqi exactly feels. Has she moved on or not.

"Come with me." Rhea broke the hug and took Mayank inside the ward. She knew that Ishqi would feel uneasy about his presence but to get her answers about her feelings she had to do it.

"How are you feeling Ishqi?" Rhea chirped entering inside with Mayank.

"Better," Ishqi said but as soon as she saw Mayank she stiffened in her bed. Mayank took a step near her but she stopped him by gesturing with her hand.

"Ishqi I know I shouldn't have done what I did last night. I did not know how I lost my calm. I never wanted to hurt you I can't even imagine doing something like that to you. Trust me Ishqi." Mayank stood at the end of her bed. Every word he said felt genuine and his guilt was reflected from his eyes.

He tried speaking to her but she did not respond to it and it was enough for Mayank to feel terrible. He longed to talk with her and apologise for the mistake he committed but knowing that Ishqi will not talk with him at the moment, He signalled Rhea to be with her and stormed out of her ward.

"Ishqi I know that whatever happened wasn't right and for you, it would have been so difficult but even you will have to understand that Mayank didn't try to harm you. He can never think of doing something like this. I have seen him since the morning and he is very guilty about whatever has happened." Rhea tried to reasoned Ishqi.

"Rhea I know that Mayank did not try to harm me, but unknowingly he has just refreshed some dreadful memories which will take some time to settle back. And also I know that Mayank will be very upset at the moment but-

"You don't have to explain Ishqi," Rhea assured her with a smile.

"Ishqi."

Massi came inside with the doctor.

"How are feeling now?" Doctor asked and examined her.

"Better." Ishqi smiled.

"You can now go home but make sure to not take any medicine without a doctor's prescription." The doctor said and she nodded.

After signing the discharge paper and completing all the formalities they all left the hospital. Rhea drove Massi and Ishqi to their home and Mayank went with his parents. Rhea decided to spend the remaining day with Ishqi.

To be continued...
