Ahaan, Mayank and Rhea stood restlessly outside Ishqi's ward waiting for the doctor to come out and tell them what has happened to her. She did not gain consciousness in the office so they had brought her to the hospital.

"It is all my mistake, I shouldn't have reacted the way I had." Mayank sank into the chair.

"You did not know that this might happen," Rhea said placing her hand on his shoulder.

"Rhea Ahaan I know that you both know something about her past which I don't, please tell me what it was and how do you know her?" Mayank asked.

"Look Mayank it is her choice to let you know about what has happened in her past. Maybe she isn't comfortable talking about it." Rhea said on behalf of Ishqi. She knew how terrible it is to speak about the past which has destroyed us. Maybe that's the reason she has never told anything about it to anyone.

"No, she had told me on one of our dates that there were murder charges filed against her and because of that she did not get any job in India and had to move to the States to her Massi's house," Mayank said.

"Did she tell you why were those charges filed against her?" Ahaan asked. He feared that Mayank might hate him after knowing his role in her past.

Mayank nodded in no. Ahaan have a sigh of relief. Just then the doctor came out of the ward and the trio rushed to him.

"Doctor, what has happened to her?" Ahaan asked as he couldn't hold himself.

"She has taken the wrong dose of sleeping tablets and with that a pain killer tablet. Her system was not able to accept it and hence the side effect. We have started the treatment and she will gain consciousness after the effect of the medicine is over. Please make sure she does not take medicines without a doctor's prescription it may be fatal also." The doctor briefs them on Ishqi's condition.

"I will take care of that doctor," Mayank said.

"Can you bring these medicines from the chemist?" Doctor asked Ahaan and he went to bring them.

Rhea on the other hand was thinking about how to reunite Ishqi and Ahaan. Because the way Ahaan was taking care of every small thing related to Ishqi had made her believe that he still loves her immensely. Also, Ishqi had just trusted him with her. In this terrible state of mind where just a touch made her flinch she had let herself in his arms.

"What are you thinking Rhea?" Mayank snapped his fingers in front of her.

"Mayan you will have to call off the engagement," Rhea told Mayank.

"Are you in your right state of mind? Can you hear yourself?" Mayank freaked out.

"I know what I am saying Mayank," Rhea said holding Mayank's hand.

"No I won't, I love her a lot and I am not gonna let her go away from me," Mayank said taking a step backwards from Rhea.

"And what if the girl you love, loves someone else." Rhea blurted in a loud voice.

"I know that she loves someone else, she has already told me. And also that her first love will always be a precious part of her life." Mayank told her but he was unaware that Ahaan had heard him.

"And you agree to marry her after knowing that she does not love you," Ahaan asked from behind.

"Yes, because I thought that maybe my love will help her overcome her previous one," Mayank said and there was an unknown emotion in Ahaan eyes that did not go unnoticed by Rhea.

"Mayank your phone is ringing continuously. Masi is calling pick it up it might be important." Rhea said giving Mayank his phone. Mayank went away to call his mom.

Ahaan stood leaning against the wall. His worried face was proof that he feared losing Ishqi. Rhea walked to him and hug him. She knew that Ahaan will never cry in front of anyone.

"Ahaan you can let out your tears." Rhea caresses his back.

Ahaan started sobbing on Rhea's shoulder.

"Rhea you know everything that had happened and also that I should be hating her. But I am not able to. I don't know what happens to me when she is in front of me." Ahaan blabbered between his sobs.

"Ahaan you can never hate her because your heart knows that she is innocent." Rhea let out while crying.

"How can you say that? You were there when everything had happened then how can she be innocent." Ahaan freaked out.

"Cause you don't know the whole truth. You believed what you saw. But the truth is not always what we see or hear." Rhea finally decided to let Ahaan know the whole truth.

"That day Ishqi was waiting for you on the terrace. She wasn't aware of what was happening on the other side of the tank. She had a video called me as she heard Mitali screaming. I had asked her to see what was going on and I rushed to the terrace. I saw that Mitali was fighting with someone on the phone standing on the edge of the terrace. She was so furious that she did not know that she was about to slip. Ishqi ran to her to protect her from falling but before she reach her Mitali slipped from the edge. The only thing that Ishqi could get hold of was her shawl." Rhea disclosed the whole truth.

"If you knew that Ishqi had not pushed her from the terrace then why didn't you speak up? Why did you hide such an important thing from me? Do you even know that I punished Ishqi for what she had never done? Tell me Rhea why did you keep shut after knowing everything." Ahaan howled.

"Cause I used to love you Ahaan. But you have always loved Ishqi. Somewhere I had accepted that you both are the one for each other but that day when you did not trust her and blamed her for Mitali's death I thought that I might have a chance with you if Ishqi is out of your life so I kept quiet. But after everything happened and the way I saw you losing yourself after putting her behind the bars I understood that I have committed a huge sin. I confessed everything in court and got Ishqi out of the jail. And on that very day, you had left for your Australia trip. I had decided to tell you everything when you return but it had got very late as Ishqi had left the country and she had changed her contact number." Rhea confessed.

"Do you even know what sin you have committed? I hated Ishqi for no reason. And for doing that I am hating myself now. I will never be able to forgive myself for not trusting her. And Rhea you are now no one for me. I can't even think that you can do something like this." Ahaan pushed her away from him.

"Ahaan I know that what I have done is not something to be forgiven and the guilt of it is killing every bit of me from inside. And Ahaan Ishqi knew that I love you and while leaving she had sent me a message asking me to take care of you. I still have that letter with me. And you know God has given me the chance to mend my mistakes so please don't snatch it from me. I will do every possible thing to reunite you." Rhea said crying.

I feel that I have disappointed you all with this chapter. I am not at all feeling like this was interesting. Please do let me through your comments on how it was.

And also a big sorry for this late update. My classes and job everything started together and on top of that I had to go on a trip for 15 days and to balance everything. So I was not getting time to write and also once you stop writing for some days you lose the track and same thing happened with me. I hope you guys will understand.
