"And if you really don't want to get the thtupid thurgery, we'll make Jeremy fall in love with you. There'th nothing to worry about, man. Tho, what happened with Jeremy today?"

Michael took a shaky deep breath. "I coughed up some petals and once I explained the whole hanahaki thing, he asked who it was."

"You have to tell Jeremy the truth at thome point, or I'm going to drag you to the hothpital mythelf," Rich threatened. "Go to thchool tomorrow. Tomorrow is Friday, tho you and Jere can have one of those gay thleepover thingth. You can tell him then."

Michael took a moment to process Rich's advice. It wasn't half bad. "Should I do it at his house or mine? Which is more romantic?"

"How doeth Jeremy'th dad feel about gayth?" Rich asked, his voice slow and calculating.

"I dunno."

"Micha! Dinner is ready!" his mom called.
