Eileen paced back and forth. She was acting as if she hadn't already confessed her feelings for Alex, as if he didn't know she was utterly in love with him. But how was she going to tell him that she picked him, even though she had always picked him from the start.

Eileen sat on her beanbag chair and thought for a while. She's glad she never told Karl about her confusing feelings towards him, she thought that would've made things a lot harder for herself.

Eileen felt happy that everything had worked out in the end for herself and her friends. She didn't want to reach out to Jess now and remind her of the reason she lost Alex, but in the future she wanted to be her friend.

Eileen really did love Alex, even if neither of them were ready to say it. She wanted to talk to him every minute of everyday but knew that she couldn't. So for now, she would just do that today.

Being with Alex, even if they weren't really together made Eileen feel like a kid in a candy shop. She's wanted this for so long and now that she's gotten it, she feels happier than she expected.
