Eileen played with Karl's hair as they watched Ben 10. Eileen enjoyed spending this much time with Karl, it felt like her first year she met him and they did about everything together.

As the episode ended, Karl seemed to less and less talkative. "Are you asleep?" Eileen whispered.

"No." Karl answered simply. "I'm thinking." He added.

"About?" Eileen asked.

Karl shrugged. "Something." He clearly didn't want to talk much.

Eileen rolled her eyes. "Whatever. I'm a little tired, I need sleep or I'll die." She got up, having a bit of a hard time getting her hands out of Karl's hair. "Goodnight bubs." She smiled as she left the room

"Night." Karl smiled softly.

His phone buzzed briefly, and when he picked it up it was from Jess.
