"Woah! Derek you got a strike, great job buddy!" T.Pose yelled and gave Derek a high five.

"It's your turn, Daddy!" Derek said.

Dylan rubbed his hands and picked up a bowling ball. He looked at the pins on the opposite side of the lane. He then rolled it and the ball knocked down eight pins.

I got up and handed him his next ball and he said, "Thanks sweetie," and he winked at me. I giggled and sat back down next to Derek.

Dylan rolled the ball and knocked down the remaining pins. "Yeah!" Dylan yelled and did a funny victory dance and T.Pose joined in.

Derek and I were laughing at these goofballs. When they stopped dancing, it was my turn.

We continued bowling for another hour and the scores were close. Dylan came in first, then Derek, then T.Pose, and I came in last. Yeah...I stink at bowling, but that's okay because everyone had fun.

That night at dinner, Derek asked, "How did you and Daddy meet?"

"Well," Dylan said. "Mommy just moved from Nevada and she was new to my school. On the first day, she was being bullied by mean people and I swooped in and stood up for her." Dylan held my hand under the table and I squeezed it gently. "And, we realized we really liked each other and here we are now."

"So you were like Mommy's superhero?" Derek asked with a grin on his face.

"Yup, I was her superhero, and I always will be..."
