Sorry if I've been a bit inactive when writing this story. I haven't had any ideas and I've been a bit busy
:( so....Here's an extra long chapter for you. Enjoy!

"WOHOO!!" Dylan yelled and clapped his hands.
"Run Derek run!" I yelled as Derek slid into first base.
We sat back down on the bleachers and I held Dylan's hand.
Today was Derek's first game on his new team, The Little Mets.
It's been three months since Sofia's passing and we are staying strong.
"How many points do you think Derek is going to get for his team?" I leaned in and whispered in his ear.
"Three," he replied holding up three fingers.
"Yeah? I think he's going to get five points," I replied and leaned my head on his shoulder.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, we were both wrong. Derek gained four points, and we bought him ice cream after the game. On our way home, I turned around in my seat to face Derek and I asked, "What did you think of your first game?"
His face immediately lit up and he said, "It was the most amazing feeling in the world!"
I laughed lightly and said, "I'm glad you enjoyed it little monkey." I turned back around so I was facing the front of the car again.
"You were amazing, Derek! I can't wait to watch you play more games," Dylan said with a huge smile on his face.
"I loved seeing you and Mommy on the bleachers. I heard your cheering all the way from the outfield!" Derek said while bouncing a little in his car seat.
When we got home, Derek was exhausted so he decided to take a nap. Dylan and I tucked him into his bed and we went into the kitchen.
We sat down at the kitchen table and we held hands from across the table.
"I miss these moments with you," I said and gently squeezed his hands.
"I miss them too..." He said while looking at our hands.
"What's wrong Dyl? You seem upset," I said while moving my chair next to him.
"I'm going to miss you" he said.
"Wait, why?" I asked confused and slowly let go of his hand and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"I have to go to France to film my new movie..." He said.
"What..." I quietly said and looked down.
He then put his fingers underneath my chin and gently lifted my head up so we were eye to eye.
My eyes started to water and a few tears slid down Dylan's face. "It's going to be for about two months, maybe three...But, we can FaceTime every day and call eachother and text and-" I cut him off by smashing my lips into his. He moved his hands so they were on either side of my face.
"I'm going to miss this..." I said when we pulled away.
"Me too, Nicole. Me too..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"See you in two months!" I yelled and waved from the driveway and Dylan pulled away.
He blew a kiss and I pretended to catch it and I pressed it against my chest. A few tears slid from my eyes and I could see a few forming in Dylan's eyes.
Derek was crying hysterically and he was wrapped around my leg. "I LOVE YOU DADDY!" He yelled and continued to cry into my leg.
I waved and then covered my mouth with my other hand. This was going to be a long two months. Derek was waving until Dylan's car was out of sight and then he hugged my leg tighter and tighter as Dylan got farther away.
Later that evening, I was getting a FaceTime call from Dylan and I immediately picked it up.
"Hey Nicole..." He said starting to get choked up a little.
"Hey Dyl..." I replied wiping a tear away.
"Daddy!" Derek yelled as he ran into our room. I was laying on my stomach on our bed and Derek jumped on the bed next to me.
"Daddy! I can see you!" Derek said and moved into the view of the camera.
"I see you too little monkey!" He said as he sat down on the couch in his trailer.
"We miss you very much," I said and pulled Derek closer to me.
"I miss you two very very much as well," Dylan said. "What time is it by you? I'm not used to the time difference," he said and chuckled a little.
"It's..." I said and looked at the clock. "Wow! It's already 9:00. Way past your bedtime Derek. Say goodnight to Daddy," I said and rubbed his back.
"Goodnight Daddy!" Derek said.
"Sweet dreams Derek. I love you," Dylan said and laid down on his couch.
"I'll be right back," I said and winked at Dylan.
After tucking Derek in, I went back into our bedroom and jumped onto the bed.
"How are you doing?" Dylan asked.
"I'm okay..." I said and placed my hand on his face on my phone screen.
"I know...It's going to be tough, but your strong and I know you'll make it through," Dylan said and his eyes became glassy from the tears forming.
"I love you..." I barely got out.
"I love you more," he said.
"That's not possible," I replied cheekily.
He laughed and I placed a kiss on my camera.
Then I heard a knock on his door and it opened. Someone came in and said, "Monsieur O'Brien, ils sont prêts pour vous."
"Oui, je serai là dans une minute," Dylan replied.
Then the person left the room.
"I didn't know you spoke French," I said and sat up on the bed.
"Aimez-vous que ma belle," Dylan said back to me.
I laughed and said, "I have no clue what you just said." Dylan joined in with the laughter.
"I should probably go to sleep..." I said and yawned.
"Love you, sweet dreams," he said and he ended the call.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been about a month and a half and Derek and I FaceTimed Dylan every night and even though I saw his face, it wasn't the same as him being with me physically.
Derek was at pre-schook and I decided to go food shopping. When I opened the door to leave the house I saw something very unexpected.
"Dylan?" I said and ran into his arms.
He crashed his lips onto mine and I lifted my legs and wrapped them around his waist. I pulled away and tears ran down my face.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"They let me go early after they saw how miserable I was without you and Derek," he said and a tear fell from his eyes.
"I love you Dylan," I said crashed my lips back onto his.
He pulled away and said, "One second," and he walked over to the couch and gently put me down on it. He then got his luggage from the front door closed it and joined me back on the couch.
"Now where were we?" He said and continued the kiss. I laid down on the couch and gently pulled on Dylan's neck to signal him to get on top of me.
I wrapped my hands around his neck and moved my hands through his hair.
That was the longest time I had ever been away from him and I felt so much love and passion for Dylan at that moment.
I love him, I truly love him.
