Chapter 2
"What do you mean?" Hoshi stared blankly at North Star, who she had just met. "I'm going to go back to sleep. Staying up until 3 A.M. truly makes you crazy..." She jumped on her bed, staring at the odd cat. "You can't go to bed at a vital time!" North star pounced on her, waking her up abruptly.
"Fine..." She slumped out of her bed. "Take this. Focus on it, and come to me if you're worried." Hoshi sighed and swiped the interesting thing. "Okay..." She stared at it, feeling sick. "Are you sure this is safe? Are you completely sure this won't drug me and I'll pass out?" She continued focusing, and as she predicted, she passed out.
"Ugh... I knew I shoudn't trust things from hallucinations!" "You were only out for a few seconds, and I'm not a hallucination. I mean, look at you!" North Star held up a mirror, reflecting the new outfit. "Hm... What? What? This thing is broken... I'm hallucinating!" Hoshi panicked, looking almost completely different. It was as if someone took hair dye and speckled it all over, even on her floor!
Her outfit was covered in a cape, which once she took it off, it revealed a mid-height skirt with a bow covered top. Ropes barely hid her stomach, along with covering her arms, decorated with bows. In her hand was a wand, with a star shape on each end. Observing it, she noticed a neat line in the middle. Pulling the stick apart let it snap into two, revealing a rope nearly matching the ropes in her outfit.
"Crazy... I couldn't be hallucinating from losing a few hours of sleep. I'm gonna go show the whole restaurant of Dulce Oleum!" She ran to her door, before being stopped. "Don't do that! You'll get hurt the more you tell." "That doesn't make sense at all. The most I would get is a few laughs." North Star pounced at her. "I'll explain later, you'll need to test this out first.
North Star leaped out the window, Hoshi following. "Break the baton in half, and tie that tree over there." Hoshi did exactly what she said, and ended up snapping the tree. "I'm gonna be arrested for damage of private property! Why didn't you tell me this was going to happen?" North Star shook her head. "You won't get arrested for damaging this area. I was able to buy it for a huge bucket of stardust." "Star... dust? You're weird."
Hoshi played with the baton, waiting for North Star to respond. "My suspicions were right! You, Hoshi Hane..." She stopped mid-sentence. "I'll explain it when you learn more about yourself. It may sound creepy, but there's a small chance that I could know more about you than you, or your parents do." Hoshi stared at North Star. "You're coming off as very creepy. In your looks, to your supposed knowledge, and with all this mystery stuff... I'm getting tired. I'm gonna go home..." It seemed as soon as she said that, her outfit sprung away, knocking her out.
