"Alright, now. What was the "unless" of this whole situation?" Hoshi questioned. "If you are sleeping while I perform the procedures, this might work. Your father has sleeping pills, correct?" She stepped back from North Star. "How'd you find that out? were you raiding our cabinets? And I believe he brought them with him. You probably know already, as... weird, as you are, but he's on a 'food tour,' as he likes to call it." She nodded in agreement. "Where he explores food around the world. It does seem like I'm weird, doesn't it?" "Yes, it does. Wait! I think my sister has some, she has trouble sleeping some nights." As soon as she said that, she snuck into the bathroom.

"Hm? Hoshi! Why aren't you out there helping?" Mami asked as soon as she saw her. "I'm going to bed early. You should too, you look terrible." The pills in the bottle rolled out the bottle into Mami's hand. "If you're hitting the hay, you should probably tell Mom. She gets wild when you don't tell her you're sleeping." She put the bottle on the shelf, forgetting to put the lock on.

Hoshi rushed down the stairs. "I'm not feeling good. Can I go to bed?" "Again? Hoshi, if this keeps up, we'll need to take you to a doctor to see if you're fibbing. Come down in an hour and tell me how you're feeling. If you're still ill, we need to go to the doctor." Hoshi nodded to the commands of her mother and rushed upstairs. "Is feeling sick all the time normal to you guys?"

"Not at all. But did you get the pills?" She shook her head. "Then get them!" Frightened by the sound, she went to the bathroom to get her sister's sleeping pills. "Illaine Hane, Hana Hane, Hosh- wait... Am I supposed to be taking medicine? I wonder why I'm not... Here it is!" She took the open bottle of medicine to her room.

"All I have to do is eat the pills and let you do the rest?" "Yes. You might wake up during our process, so please don't freak out and try to fall asleep again." Hoshi nodded and ate the pills. She drank from a water bottle found on her desk. "It takes half an hour for medicine like this to take effect?" North Star answered. "For humans, it does, but I usually react much more to the medicine, and it takes effect much sooner, as little as five- Same for you..." 

"Alright. Around four hours to do this thing, depending on how much she took." North star got out a syringe and filled it up with liquid. "This'll stop it from progressing. But... it also might cause it to progress even faster... Well, we don't have all day to do this, so..." She pushed the syringe, held in her mouth, into Hoshi's arm. "It'll travel through her immune system, however, because of the nature of the liquid, it'll be attracted to light!" North Star talked to herself, eventually waking Hoshi up. "Oh! Wait... I wasn't done yet. Go back to bed!"
