"Now, now. What exactly happened with that man?" North Star leaped up and down from the bed. "Every time he touched me he got burnt. But when I told him to touch me, he didn't get hurt." She instantly froze as soon as Hoshi finished speaking. "So you're telling me, he got burnt. When did this start happening?" Hoshi stood confused. "Oh, as soon as I woke up from hitting the tree. He found me." "No, no, no, nonono!" The gray cat swirled around in place. "Hoshi! Break's up!" Mami called for her. "I'm sorry, but-" "No. You are not leaving this room until you have learned what you've done."  Hoshi and North Star bickered and quarreled. "Hoshi! Get down here right now." Hoshi's mother yelled. "I really need to get down there. You can hear how mad she is!" The cat nipped her and abruptly pulled back. "And you can hear how mad I am!

"Hoshi! I'm coming up there to deal with this nonsense." As soon as that was uttered, she motioned for the cat to hide. "Mom... I, uh, was going to get my apron." The woman swiped up the apron tied around her. "Right here. But what explains the talking I heard?" Hoshi was stuck on words. "Y-Yuu." "Alright, I'll take that as an answer. Get down here, we have a line."

Hoshi and Hana went through the line slowly. "I wonder what North Star's so mad about... If anything, she should be the one she's mad at." Thoughts swirled through Hoshi's head as she worked. "Hey, you're spilling that oil all over my food!" One man chimed. "My soup! It's ruined!" A young woman, about the age of Mami, yelped. "Ma'am, what are you doing? You're being quite careless." An old lady asked. "Ah! Oh... um... I'm very quite sorry..." It then became apparent. She's been so deep in thought, she had ruin the customer's food! Whether she spilled oil on it, knocked it over, or by other means, she had messed it up! "Hoshi! What were you thinking? I am very sorry about what happened you your food. If you would like a refund, or another plate, please come to the register. About you... You're stuck eating bread and oil tonight. The refunds are out of your pocket, also! Go to your room. Think about the countless dollars it cost us! We'll get a bad reputation." Hoshi's mother walked behind the register. 

"From the shouting, it seems you got in trouble." North Star almost scared her. "I was so lost in thought I ended up ruining food. My mom's upset, and I'm not eating anything tonight." The cat shook her head. "One of the many, many, consequences you'll receive for whacking that tree!" She flopped on the bed. "What did that tree do to me anyways?" "It affected... well, you in a way that might hinder your day-to-day life. Your mistake though, not mine." Hoshi got a bit angry. "But you told me to do it! Even if it wasn't in the middle, you would of known  that tree was in there!" The now furious feline stopped Hoshi's ideas there. "No, no, no. I knew that tree was somewhere around here, but not here! You chose to hit it anyways." The two quarreled for quite some time.
