Henry's POV

I heard the tapping on my window and bolted out of bed to let Charlotte in.

Sleeping was way out of the picture when I took in Charlotte's state, I was so worried when she called and seeing her state right now as she stands in front of me with tear stains on her flawless face shot my anxiety level through the roof.

I lead her into my room and made her sit on the bed. Her eyes roaming everywhere but me.

"So how was your date?" Stupid!stupid! Why would you ask her that! I internally face palmed myself.

She sniffed and was trying her best to hold back her tears.

I swear to God if that bastard hurt her I will kill him!

I pulled her close to me and wrapped my arms around her tiny waist as I erased the space between us.

She was full on crying now. How can someone look so beautiful while crying?

"You wanna talk about it?" I asked softly, rubbing soothing circles on her back.

She moved her head indicating a yes and I reluctantly let her go.

I washed as she adjusted herself and got comfortable on the edge of my bed. She wiped her tears and took a deep breath

"From the beginning I knew the date would go horribly wrong when he made a rude comment on my outfit, we drove out of town to a shaggy club and he told me not to worry, he abandoned me to go get drinks and then I found him making out with a random girl, I slapped him and was about to leave when the place was raided by the police" She took a deep breath " and I found myself in the swellview police station, my Mom came and we got into a huge fight, she's been calling but I just need space and I couldn't think of anyone else so I called you" she finished

I was fuming and murdering pretty boy in my head. I clenched my fist so hard, my knuckles turned white. I  was royally pissed.

A hand went around my waist and I instantly calmed down. I would still kill Callum Orchison but I had to focus on the beauty currently wrapping her arms around me, her face buried in my chest. She looked so vulnerable and scared, she wasn't my cheerful and sassy char, and I was going to kill the Bastard who caused this.

Yeah! Wait what! No we won't do that, we can't, how can you say that, subconscious.

It feels weird calling you subconscious, so I'm gonna call you Pablo from now on.

In between my weird conversation with Pablo, I did not notice Charlotte falling asleep, emitting soft snores.

I carried her to the left side of my mini bed which dad refused to change. And was about to move to the bathroom when she subconsciously clutched me harder while mumbling a "don't go".

I gently unlatched her hands from me, her breath picking up speed and coming out in pants she made grabby hands at me. I slipped under the covers on the other side and tucked her in.

She scooted closer to me and wrapped her arms around me once more, just like earlier, her face squished on my chest. The only thing visible to me were the dark beautiful curls on her head.

I couldn't tell of she was doing this subconsciously or not. But her laboured breath was calmer now and she was back to the cute snores.

Giving it a few seconds I draped my arms around her as we cuddled in bed, a smile forming on my face.

I was still mad about what happened but a part of me was filled with joy, at the fact that Charlotte trusted me and felt safe around me. She could've called anyone, Jasper, Piper,Ray or her other friends but she came to me. She chose me.

Or your house was the closest? Just saying

I drifted to sleep, her snores the most beautiful thing to my ear.

Charlotte's POV

I woke up with a oddly calm heart, considering how I felt last night.

LAST NIGHT!

I told Henry not to go,we cuddled.

I was very conscious when I wrapped my hands around him. I was being greedy for his warmth and his touch.

All the pain from my argument with my mum were gone, as I inhaled his woody scent mixed with lilacs. I smiled as I remember Henry's addiction with lilacs perfume. He loves pitting it on even when it stated 'for females only'. When I tease him about it he would always quote about gender equality while blushing furiously.

Wait, if you slept with Henry last night, that means he's with you in the bed right?

I shut up at the thought and looked to find the right side of the bed empty, relief watched over me. And then confusion.

I got up from the bed and thankfully I was still in my clothes from last night.
Not that I was worried about Henry changing me or anything like that it's just, you know...

I trudged to Henry's bathroom and found a note attached to the spare toothbrush I use whenever I slept over.
