Well, I guess this is really difficult to tell. Its the story of the promise Luc and I had made that one winter when we were 13. I remember the crystal clear patch that used to be Teire Lake that we had happened to be skating on until I had fallen through the ice and into the neverending water. I remember watching him jump into the water and reaching his hand out for me to grab. I slowly lifted my hand upwards but gradually drifted into a deep sleep.

I woke up to a pair of arms tightly embracing me in a hug. It was Luc. His brown hair grazed my cheeks and my face instantly grew red. However, it wasn't just from the sudden contact but because I had grown immensely cold.

"L..Luc...?" I managed to choke out as I shivered. His grip grew tight around me and I could feel him shaking too. Not from the temperature. But from fear. He was crying as he buried his head in my shoulder. I slowly wrapped my arms around his frame and held him back.

After a few moments, Luc released himself and moved to face me. His arms were on my shoulders as his brown orbs bore into my blue ones. "Why did you do that, Rhea? I thought you died."

"I'm sorry, Luc." I replied as I tried to avoid eye contact with him.

He looked at me for a few moments and then sighed. "You don't need to impress me. You've already won my heart haven't you?" I nod and then he laughs. "Then dont ever scare me like that again. I will always love you and only you." I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him full on the lips. He sat there shocked for a moment and then finally he returned the kiss. After what seemed like forever, we pulled away from eachother needing some air. "Losing you and never being able to see you again would be worse than me moving and seeing you again sometime in the future."

"I still can't believe that your moving to Dallas to go live with your dad." I pouted. He grabbed my chin and gave me a quick peck on the lips.

"I'll be back and you'll be the only one that I will love." He replied as he stood up and I following in suite.

"Promise?"

"I promise." He got down on one knee and grabbed my hands. "And do you, Rhea Wall, promise that when I do come back, that you will become my wife and live eternity with me. I know that I do not have a ring- don't really know how I could possibly get one anyways.. I'm only 13- but anyways I could get you one in the future."

"Haha. Luc, I don't need a ring to prove to people that I love you." I responded as I stood him back up. Once he was finally standing, I pulled him into a hug. "But yes. I promise."

"Thank y-"

"Luc!!!! Time to come in!!!!!!" Luc looked at me and gave a sad smile.

"I- I gotta go... See you someday." He kisses my cheek and whisper in my ear as I started to cry. The words that I didn't want to hear.
