Chapter 8; Diary problems

Eren's POV:

I stretched lazily across the bed, before falling onto the floor with a thump.

Ah, shit

I rubbed my sore neck and climbed to my feet before going to the kitchen. I heard the sizzling of the frying pan and walked in to find Armin cooking a huge breakfast of bacon, eggs, sausages, beans, mushrooms, hash-Browns and more. My mouth started watering because Armin had only cooked this on my birthday and it wasn't even as much as this.

Levi was sat at the kitchen table on his phone but leapt up to his feet when I came in.

"Eren, you were asleep for ages, dude!", he smiled as we did our awesome fist bump routine (don't judge,k?).

"I was so tired though. I feel a bit hungover", I said rubbing my throbbing head. I saw Armin glance over worriedly - he looked worse than usual-still adorable though. His hair was scruffy, he had dark circles under his eyes and his skin looked slightly bruised.

"Hey, mouse, when's the food gonna be ready? I'm starving", Levi growled. I didn't like it when he was mean to Armin.. He was so innocent that it wasn't fair.

"Stop messing with him, Levi", I half-laughed, fake punching his arm.

".. It's okay eren.", Armin squeaked unconvincingly,"the food's ready"

He walked over to the table and layed it onto our three plates as we sat down. "You're like a little housewife", Levi smirked as he stuffed a forkful of beans into his mouth and I laughed, noting how Armin flinched as my companion looked at him.

Probably nothing.

I ate my entire plate within minutes and Armin let me have some of his.

"This is amazing, Armin", I said through a mouthful of bacon. He had barely touched his so Levi took the rest without asking. Armin didn't seem to be bothered though.

~~~ TimeSkip ~~~ 8:00pm that night ~~~
Levi was staying for that night then leaving in the morning so we were trying to think of a way to spend the night. Armin was sat silently on the sofa and never looked at Levi. It was almost as if he thought Levi was gonna eat him!
"How about we go to a nightclub and have a few drinks?", Levi said, lounging across the sofa. That sounded awesome cos when I'm with Levi and there's drinks involved we always have loads of fun.
"YEAH! That's a great idea",I yelled out getting excited now. I saw Armin flinch and fidget while we discussed which club to go to.
"So that settled, we'll go to Shingeki No Dancing club. Maybe we can pick up some chicks", Levi said winking seductively. I didn't really fancy the idea of meeting any girls but nodded and winked back as a joke.
Armin looked pale and opened his mouth to say something but stopped. I kinda felt bad.
Levi and I started putting on our shoes whilst Armin stood watching in the doorway. I noticed Levi slip a book into his pocket and was reaching towards it when Armin suddenly blurted something out.
"I don't feel very well", he exclaimed. Levi shot him a glare that made Armins eyes well up with tears. I ran over feeling awful for him; he was so adorable that I didn't like it when he got sad.
"Armin, what's wrong?!", I whispered hugging him tight as he tugged lightly at my shirt. He hugged me back and we walked into the lounge and sat down.
"You can tell me", I begged, holding Armins small pale hands. I saw his eyes dart around the room and he started talking before abruptly stopping and looking more terrified than ever.
"Well it's just that.. If Levi giv---"
I turned around to see Levi standing in the doorway with a sneaky look on his face. Armin had just been trying to say something about Levi.. What was it??
Levi slowly clumped over as I stood up. He looked down at Armin who was shaking his head, tears streaming down his face. What was going on that I didn't know about?!?
"Eren.. There's something you might want to see", Levi said in a harsh voice that made me feel odd. What the hell had he done to Armin?!
"Please don't LEVI!", Armin cried out as Levi reached into his pocket. It must be something to do with that book.. Levi simply grinned, his eyes lighting up with enjoyment. I could tell that look meant trouble.
"What is it?! A book?", I questioned, looking from one to the other of them. I screwed up my eyes trying to work out what was happening.
"LEVII, pleeaase", Armin cried out. This was the worst he had ever looked. His whole face was screwed up with emotions and skin pale from his sickness. Tears streamed down his face and his clothes were crumpled matching his messy hair.
Levi drew a book from his pocket accompanied by Armins distraught gasp. I couldn't do anything but stare at the book. I was so interested now at what was so special about it.
I reached forwards as Levi pressed the book into my palm. It was black and petite with a matte finish and no writing. There was a little pencil sticking from the side that dropped to the floor with a small click in the ominous silence that had consumed the room.
"Eren don't", a steady but sad voice pulled at me.
Carefully, I lifted the book cover up.
All I heard was a piercing, wailing scream that rung through my head like a cornered animals final cry for help.
A/N: Yep that was Armin.. The next chapter is gonna have a confession I think so stay tuned :)
