Chapter 1: Where it all began...
"Mummy, I don't want to go to big girl school," said Addison.
"Addison, you have to go. I promise that you will make heaps of friends and will have a great first day. Daddy and I will be right here to pick you up this afternoon," said Addison's mother, as she put her daughters backpack on her back.
It was Addison Parker's first day of big girl school at Wavell Heights Elementary School. She was super nervous to be starting elementary school. Addison is only five years old and already scared of meeting new people. She has never been the little girl to talk to people she doesn't know. Her mother would always place her in childcare while she worked long days at the office.
"Mumma, you don't have to be here. I am ready for big boy school," chirped Samuel.
"Samuel, mumma has to walk you in to school to meet your teacher," answered Samuel's mother, as she grabbed his hand.
Samuel Lincoln was staring his first day at Wavell Heights Elementary School. He was looking forward to meeting people and making friends. Samuel has always been the type of boy to make a boring situation a fun one.
Addison and Samuel are both walked into their first day of Kindergarten by their overbearing parents. Samuel sits down at a table with the other children and sits next to a little brown haired girl with blue eyes. He smiles at her and introduced himself, "Hello, I am Sammy." The little girl goes red in the face and turns away from him.
Her mother answered for her, "Nice to meet you Sammy. This is Addison."
Addison smiles at him and looks back at her mother. "Addie?" said Sammy.
"No sweetheart it's Addison," answered Addison's mother. She smiled at his mother and introduced herself, "Hi, I'm Addison's Mother, Jennifer."
"Hi Jennifer, I'm Sammy's mother, Brooke," responded Sammy's mother.
They shook each other's hands and went back to saying goodbye to there children. "Bye baby girl. I will see you this afternoon," kissed Jennifer as she hugged Addison goodbye.
"I love you Sammy. Enjoy your first day," kissed Brooke as she squeezed Sammy in her arms.
The children waved goodbye to their parent's and went back to drawing with the crayons.
A few hours went by and then children were finishing up having lunch. They were about to go back to drawing when Sammy decided to shove his crayons up his nose and run around like that with a juice box stain on his pants. It looked like he had wet his pants. All the other children were laughing at him, except one.
"Stop laughing at him," yelled Addison.
Sammy stopped and looked at her with tears in eyes.
"It's not funny. Stop laughing," yelled Addison again.
The children stopped laughing at him and went back to the arts and crafts.
"You alright?" asked Addison.
"Why didn't you laugh?" asked Sammy.
"Because it's not funny to laugh at someone else."
"You are really nice Addie," said Sammy as he pulled the crayons out of his nose.
"You're a clown Sammy."
"Best friends?" asked Sammy.
Addie hugged Sammy and said, "Best friends forever Sammy."
That was how Addie and Sammy became the best of friends.
