Deleted scene

Now originally I was going to use this in the last chapter as a big reveal for Y/N. However, I felt like it didn't actually fit in.

Y/N lay curled up beneath the warmth of his blankets, his body still heavy with exhaustion. The dim glow of his bedside lamp cast a soft light over his room, illuminating the bookshelves lined with manga, the plush toys neatly arranged in the corner, and the weighted blanket draped over the chair. It was his sanctuary—his safe space.

But something was off.

A strange tickling sensation brushed against his nose, so light it almost felt like a whisper. His face scrunched up, and he let out a tiny, sleepy groan, shifting beneath the covers. Another tickle—this time sharper, deliberate. His nose twitched.

Slowly, Y/N's eyes fluttered open.

At first, his room looked the same. Everything was as it should be. But then... he saw them.

Red.

Deep, glowing red eyes—scattered across the room like eerie embers in the darkness. They blinked, some narrowing, others unblinking, watching him from the shadows. A nervous chill ran down his spine, his breath hitching in his throat. His fingers curled tightly into his blanket.

He knew those eyes.

A presence thickened in the air, a heavy, unseen force pressing against his chest. The shadows at the foot of his bed twisted, shifting like liquid, forming into something solid—something human-shaped. The figure sat down with a slow, deliberate motion, the mattress dipping beneath its weight.

Y/N swallowed hard. His heart pounded, and his body stiffened, the overwhelming sense of being watched making his skin prickle.

Then, the figure fully materialized, and there was no mistaking who it was.

The one who owned half his soul.

A voice, smooth and deep, cut through the silence.

??? (low, amused): Did I wake you, little guy?

Y/N tensed, his fingers clutching his blanket even tighter. His breath was shaky as he lowered his gaze, not daring to meet those piercing red eyes.

Y/N (soft, nervous mumble): ...Y-yeah.

The figure chuckled, a sound both teasing and predatory. She leaned forward slightly, elbows resting on her knees, watching Y/N with a gaze that burned right through him.

??? (mockingly gentle): You look like a frightened rabbit. Relax, sweetheart... I wouldn't want you to faint on me.

Y/N's hands clenched. His mind was already overwhelmed—too much, too fast, too intense. His thoughts spun as he tried to process, tried to breathe through the sensory overload of it all.

The presence tilted its head, eyes narrowing as if reading him. Then, a gloved hand reached out—slowly, carefully—brushing against the edge of Y/N's blanket.

??? (softly, but with an edge of possession); Come now... don't you want to say hello to the one who owns you?

Y/N's breath hitched. He knew there was no escaping this.

Not when half of him belonged to her

She sat at the foot of his bed, legs crossed with effortless grace. Her red eyes glowed like embers, lazily watching him, amused by his nervousness. Her dark lips curled into a knowing smirk, sharp fangs peeking through. Silky, deep crimson hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her outfit—something sleek, dark, and far too elegant for a casual visit—only added to her otherworldly presence.

Y/N swallowed hard, his fingers clutching the blanket as if it could somehow shield him.

Y/N (soft, nervous mumble):...W-What do you want?

His voice barely made it past his lips, but Roo heard him perfectly. She tilted her head, her smirk widening as if she enjoyed his skittishness.

Roo: Can't a girl drop by to visit her favorite little soul-bound cutie?

Y/N shifted uncomfortably, his face heating up. He hated when she teased him like this. The way she looked at him—like she owned him, like she could see every thought in his head—made his stomach twist.

Y/N: I-I guess...but you don't stop by....

Roo chuckled, stretching her arms above her head before leaning forward slightly, resting her chin on her hand. Her gaze flicked over him, analyzing every little twitch of his body.

Roo: True, I usually have a reason. But tonight? Hmm... no real business. Just wanted to see you.

Y/N blinked. That was... unexpected. Usually, whenever Roo appeared, it meant trouble. Deals, demands, cryptic warnings—something.

But this time?

She just wanted to see him?

His mind scrambled to make sense of it, still wary, still unsure.

Y/N:...Oh.

Roo's smirk softened just a bit, though the teasing glint in her eyes never left. She reached out lazily, her fingers barely brushing over the fabric of his blanket, as if testing whether he'd pull away.

Roo: Relax, sweetheart. You look like I'm about to eat you.

Y/N tensed. The problem was, with her, he was never sure if that was just a joke.

In Hell, when a demon laid claim to a soul, it was absolute—unbreakable, unquestionable. Yet somehow, against all known rules of demonic contracts, his soul had been split. Half of it belonged to Roo, the seductive and enigmatic demon sitting at the foot of his bed. The other half...

Well, that was a secret.

A secret Y/N couldn't afford to reveal.

He felt Roo's gaze on him, piercing and unrelenting. She was toying with him, as always, but there was something different tonight. A sharper edge beneath her usual playful demeanor.

Roo: You know, I've been patient. Really, I have. But it's starting to bug me.

Y/N stiffened slightly, gripping his blanket tighter. He knew what was coming.

Roo: Who has the other half?

Y/N's throat went dry. He forced himself to meet her gaze, though his body screamed at him to look away. Roo wasn't the kind of demon you lied to—not unless you had a death wish.

But this wasn't about lying. Y/N literally couldn't tell her

Y/N (softly, hesitantly); ...I can't tell you.

A tense silence filled the room. Roo studied him, her red eyes narrowing slightly. She hadn't expected him to answer right away, but his refusal only made her more interested.

Roo: Can't tell me? Or won't?

Y/N swallowed, choosing his words carefully.

Y/N:...First one.

That made her pause. Her smirk faltered for the briefest moment, just long enough for Y/N to catch it. He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not.

Roo tilted her head, considering him like he was a puzzle she was dying to solve. Then, much to his growing unease, she grinned.

Roo: Well, well... my little soul-bound darling has secrets.

She leaned back, draping herself dramatically across the foot of his bed, stretching like a satisfied cat. But Y/N wasn't fooled—she was still watching him, still waiting for a crack in his armor.

Roo: Now I really wanna know.

Y/N's hands clenched into fists beneath the blanket. He knew Roo. She wasn't the type to let something like this go. And if she wanted answers badly enough, she would find them.

One way or another.

Roo inched closer, her presence suffocating, her red eyes glowing with amusement and something more dangerous—desire. Y/N tensed, his back pressing into the headboard as she invaded his space, her lips curling into a knowing smirk.

Roo: You're acting so shy, sweetheart. What, afraid of little old me?

Y/N's hands gripped the blanket tightly, his breathing uneven. It wasn't fear—well, maybe a little—it was overstimulation. The way she looked at him, the way her voice dripped with dangerous curiosity. She was a predator circling prey, and he was the unfortunate target.

Her clawed fingers traced lightly over the sheets near his legs, but she didn't touch him. Not yet.

Roo: I want your whole soul, darling. So why don't you make this easy for both of us and tell me who has the other half?

Y/N swallowed hard, knowing this was coming. He knew Roo had always wanted more than what she had, that his soul was a prize to her. But it wasn't that simple.

He couldn't tell her.

Couldn't.

Y/N opened his mouth to speak, to force the words out despite the pressure constricting his chest. But before he could utter a single syllable—

His own hand shot up, covering his mouth.

His eyes widened in shock. He hadn't done that. His body had moved on its own.

Roo's smirk faded for a moment, surprise flashing across her face. Then, just as quickly, it twisted into something more intrigued.

Roo: Oh... now that's interesting.

Y/N tried again, forcing his hand down, trying to speak. But the moment he even thought of saying the name—

His fingers clamped over his lips again.

His own body refused to betray the secret. Some kind of magic, some kind of contract, was stopping him.

Roo let out a low, amused hum. She lifted one finger and gently tapped against his covered lips, teasing but fascinated.

Roo: Well, now I really have to know.

Y/N's heartbeat pounded in his ears. He turned his head away, his hand slowly lowering as the urge to speak faded.

He couldn't tell her. No matter how much she pried, no matter how close she got, no matter how dangerous it became.

The secret was sealed.

And Roo?

Roo loved a challenge.

Y/N's breath hitched as Roo's smirk widened, her sharp nails dragging lazily over the sheets. She leaned in, her eyes glowing with wicked delight.

Roo: You're so tense, sweetheart. Relax... I don't bite. Well, not too hard.

Y/N shifted uncomfortably, his fingers twitching against the blanket. He hated this feeling—being cornered, being wanted like this. It reminded him too much of the other one who had a claim on his soul.

That thought barely had time to settle before he felt it—cold metal slithering around his throat. His breath stuttered. A deep crimson chain, glowing with a faint, eerie light, coiled around his neck, linking him to Roo. He didn't need to touch it to know what it was.

It was hers.

Before he could react, the chain tightened ever so slightly, and with a teasing tug, Roo pulled him closer.

Roo (softly, but firm): You already belong to me, darling. But I don't like sharing.

Y/N gulped, his face heating up—not from attraction, but from the sheer intensity of her gaze, the power she held over him. He instinctively tried to lean back, but the chain prevented him from moving too far.

Y/N (soft, nervous): I-I c-can't—

Roo (tilting her head, amused): Can't tell me?

She let out a slow, sultry chuckle, her fingers lightly tracing the chain before giving it another slight pull, forcing him just a little closer.

Roo: That's clever. Very clever. Kinda like the deal you made with me. You literally can't say who has the other half, huh?

Y/N clenched his jaw, his hands curling into the sheets. She wasn't wrong. His throat burned whenever he even thought about saying the name of the one who held the rest of his soul. Just like how he could never say her true name out loud, no matter how hard he tried.

It was a twisted sort of irony.

Roo reached out, her sharp nails tracing along his jawline, forcing his gaze to meet hers.

Roo: I will find out, sweetheart. And when I do...

She tugged the chain again, her lips curling into a slow, predatory grin.

Roo: They WONT have a claim on you anymore.

Y/N swallowed hard, his mind racing. He knew one thing for certain—whoever held the other half of his soul...

Roo was going to hunt them down.

Y/N's breathing was uneven, his fingers gripping the sheets as Roo traced the glowing red chain with slow, deliberate strokes. She leaned in, her breath warm against his ear, her voice dripping with amusement.

Roo (low, teasing): You know, sweetheart... I've done a lot for you.

Y/N swallowed hard, shifting slightly as she played with the chain. Her nails lightly dragged down his chest, not enough to hurt, but enough to make his skin prickle.

Roo (purring): I gave you power. Territory. Strength you never would've had on your own.

Her fingers ghosted over his arm, as if to remind him just how much he had gained from their deal.

Roo (soft, coaxing): I gave you skills—the ability to fight, survive, make a name for yourself down here.

She moved closer, her lips mere inches from his ear.

Roo (smirking): And I've protected you, haven't I? Kept you safe when others wanted a piece of that pretty little soul of yours?

Y/N felt a chill run down his spine. He knew what she was doing. She was trying to wear him down, make him forget how dangerous she really was. His hands twitched in his lap, resisting the urge to push her away.

Y/N (soft, hesitant): I... I know. And I—I appreciate it.

Roo chuckled, her tail lazily flicking behind her.

Roo (mockingly sweet): Oh, do you now?

Her fingers curled under his chin, tilting his face toward hers. Her glowing red eyes gleamed with something almost hungry.

Roo (sultry): Then maybe you should show me how much you appreciate it.

Y/N stiffened as she inched even closer, her lips dangerously near his. A nervous lump formed in his throat. Was she... coming onto him?

Y/N (stammering, nervous): W-Wait, I—

Roo (smirking, amused): What's wrong? You look so flustered, sweetheart~

Her fingers traced slow, lazy circles on his shoulder, her voice practically a purr.

Y/N felt like his skin was on fire, but not in a good way. He wanted out of this situation. His heart pounded in his chest as he forced himself to sit up straighter, carefully grabbing her wrist and moving it away from him.

Y/N (firm, but still soft-spoken): I... I'm loyal to my harem. Especially to Charlie.

Roo's smirk faltered just slightly.

Y/N (gaining courage, voice steady) I-I'm flattered...but I can't. I-I can't hurt them...I won't...

Silence filled the room.

For a moment, Roo just stared at him, her amusement flickering into something unreadable. Then, after a beat, she laughed—a low, sultry chuckle as she leaned back, propping herself up on the bed.

Roo (smirking, unimpressed): Oh, how precious.

She flicked her wrist, the red chain around his neck loosening just a little, but not disappearing.

Roo's eyes gleamed with something dangerous. She licked her lips before giving him a slow, knowing smile.

She chuckled

Roo slid off the bed gracefully, her chains flicking behind her as she stretched, letting out a satisfied hum.

Roo: Well, sweetheart, this has been fun. But don't think for a second that I'm letting this go.

She turned toward the door, but not before leaning down, her lips hovering just above his ear.

Roo (soft, dangerous): I will find out who has the other half. And when I do...your mine~.

She let the words hang in the air, her fingers lightly tracing the chain before it dissolved into crimson embers. She kissed his cheek, which felt like hot irons and smelled like ash. Y/N swallowed hard, resisting the urge to shudder.

Roo straightened, stretching once more, and with a final smirk, she swayed her hips dramatically as she strutted toward the door.

Roo (playful, sing-song); See you soon, sweetheart~.

With that, she vanished into the shadows, the room feeling colder in her absence.

Y/N sat frozen for a moment before his body finally caught up to him. Slowly, shakily, he curled into himself, rubbing at his neck where the chain had been. The phantom sensation of its weight still lingered, the memory of it tight and unyielding against his skin.

His breath was uneven, his hands trembling slightly as he tried to shake off the feeling.

Then—

A voice.

Soft. Silky. Amused.

???: (whispering in his head) Good boy.

Y/N stiffened, his stomach twisting uncomfortably. His fingers curled into the fabric of his sheets as a sickening familiarity crept over him. The chains. The teasing. The way he had been handled.

It reminded him of her.

She had treated him like a pet. Like something to be owned, to be used. He wasn't a person to her—just an object she could claim.
