Two Years
(This is all -SunKiss 's story the original is in her work Rambles and brambles! Honestly I wanted to do this from Amanda’s perspective bc yeah. Basically all dialogue belongs to her!!!!)
Amanda walked down the street and smirked at the stares. She had just come back from “the dead”. Two years ago she had disappeared. No one found her which had honestly shocked her. People tried but every lead led to a dead end. So they just decided to chalk her up as dead. And apparently someone had to take her territory. It pissed her off and she had a few suspects, but she didn’t want to confirm anything.
She definitely had changed. Amanda’s hair had been chopped to just above her chin. Of course it was done by herself, which is why her new bangs seemed to be cut in a small squiggly line. And her hair hung in her face. But she hadn’t gotten rid of the diamonds. Plus she seemed to be a bit softer from her past self. She had actually gotten to relax and not worry about her gang. Best part though, was just getting to lounge around.
She decided to go to a coffee shop that she always visited as it was owned by an ex-gang leader who she used to trade with. As she entered, she lightly scanned the area. Ah and there was her main suspect. Aleks. Going to the counter to order, she was greeted by Jayden. She enjoyed Jayden because she could easily carry conversation. Plus she basically got to see her anytime she went to the gang leader.
Jayden grinned and sent a glance to Aleks. “Hey, Aleks is the one who took your territory. So if you want to start a physical fight, please leave the grounds.” She then went to fix her coffee and was excited to watch this play out.
Amanda decided to toy with this guy. It had been a while since she had been harsh, rash self. As she turned she scanned him up and down. Okay, so he didn’t seem that threatening. She motioned for him to come over and watched as he stood up. He seemed to shoot a look at Jayden and Amanda raised an eyebrow.
“Aleks, I assume you remember Amanda.” Jayden leaned against the counter. “Of course,'' He spoke crossed his arms and Amanda grinned at him. Okay, so he was kinda attractive.
“So. You’re Aleksandr.” She gazed at him and was praying that he was uncomfortable. He straightened his posture, “Yeah. What, you heard about me?” “Barely. Jayden here told me your name.” Not a complete truth, but he didn’t need to know that.
He snorted and was quick to come back, “I’m the one who runs shit around here.” Amanda let out a laugh, “Maybe. But not for long. I heard ya took shit that didn’t belong to you. And while I’m someone who’s very familiar with that practice, I can't help but feel the need to take it back.” Although she was shorter, she definitely felt like the bigger man.
Once again his response was fast and he was harsher. “I don’t mean any disrespect, and I say this in the kindest way possible, but fuck off.” Okay, so he was gonna play this card. Amanda held back a groan. He continued, “This place was left in ruin after you disappeared and I was the only one brave enough to step the fuck up. I fought for this place and no way in hell am I gonna give it up so easy.”
Jayden was staring wide eyed at Aleks. Amanda let out the loudest belly laugh she could, narrowing her eyes at him. Oh god, he sounded like he was out of some soap opera. “What? You expect me to thank you or something? I don’t give a shit about how you got it, I just need it back.” She slammed a ten dollar bill on the counter as her drink was handed to her. “So you can either give it to me, or I can take it back.” She let a smile appear.
Ah, the sound of silence in a public place. Everyone knew who they were. Aleks’ narrowed his eyes at her and Amanda could practically sense his anger. He spoke up, “Yeah, no thanks. If you don’t want people taking your shit, Jax, then maybe don’t disappear for two years. Fuck you coming in here and expecting me to fall onto my hands and knees and hand over territory I fought tooth and nail for.” He spat and his volume was slowly rising. She was pissed off for a few seconds but put on the mask of boring and cold.
“That’s big talk for someone I’ve heard is struggling to get two hundred out of a hustle,” she commented, He stayed quiet. “Word travels fast around here, kiddo. Sounds like you took a bigger bite off then what you could chew.” She had a wide grin across her face and was captivated by how good he looked when pissed off. Or just in general. “I’m giving you an olive branch here. So, don’t say I was never nice to you.Sounds like you’re struggling and-”
“At least I’m not a coward.” He said it fast, but Amanda had to take a few seconds to really know what he just said. Her hand tightened around her cup and she snapped her mouth shut. ‘What did life get too hard for you? Were you scared? You say I talk big but for someone who ran away it’s really funny how you walk in here-”
“Like I own the place?”
“-Like people still give a shit.” He finished and Amanda was shocked. It showed in her expression too. She went to drink her cup He grinned back at her, probably satisfied. “So, try and take it back. I dare you. We’ll be waiting.” Aleks decided to pop the bottom of her drink off and watch as the hot liquid spilt over her. People snickered but Aleks laughed and turned to leave.
“YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!” She shouted, sputtering. He just simply flipped her off and left.
Amanda watched him leave and leaned against the counter. She wiped her mouth off and realized that she was already back in business. First order of business, have a turf war. She was surprised by the kid. And she genuinely enjoyed that. “Oh, this is going to be fun.” She grabbed her phone and began to message her old crew. Finally she began to feel like her old self. And it felt great.
