So I am currently watching this anime (because I'm late on pretty much everything that doesn't involve school)(Also NO SPOILERS!!) and through watching this I notice that even though L and Light are pretty much enemy's,they have a lot in common, even that girl , Naomi Misora, FBI agent raye penber fionce thinks so. I have officially started shiping them on this very DATE! (Sun, March 26, 2017) ppl have definitely been shipping them for longer than I have, (like I said I'm late on things) But this book is about finding new ships, and me starting new\ spreading unpopular ships.
