It had been 5 years to be exact.
Enough time to forget someone's face and erase all their thoughts from your mind .

But he was not the person to forget so easily, to begin with.
He was her first love and possibly the last too.

And now, after almost 1,825 days later she has come in terms to the fact that it was practically impossible for her to completely demolish him form her life. His smile would haunt her every time she closed her eyes, or the most basic things would remind her of his silly habits or every she would look at bright colours they would remind her of the intense looks he hand on his face when he used to stroked brush on canvas.

So she gave up on denying that he would always be a integral part of her life, long back.

But it didn't mean she only mopped around for five years. She didn't, not even for a single day. The day she stepped into Pune, she knew it was the begging of a new phase of her life.

A life in which he would never make a physical appearance but always reside in her mind as a beautiful memory..

If only she knew..

Gauri stepped into the her boss's office with a couple of files one hand and a coffee mug in another another.

"Gauri I was about to call you, I urgently need-"

"Financial report on Carlson's company and the list of other company they have dealt with in past five year, I know. Meeting is less than an hour! Go through it fast!," she grinned at her boss and placed the files on the stack of other files on the table.

"Thank you so much Gauri! And I also wanted-"

"Your daily morning coffee with two sugar cubes and no milk, because it helps you concentrate better other wise you'll just doze off in the middle of boring meetings which you hate dealing with everyday," she completed his sentence with a smirk.

She sat down on chair opposite to his across the table, with legs crossed, her modestly long pencil skirts striking up a little, giving nice show of her godly smooth legs.

Her boss immediately grabbed the mug of coffee from her and gulped it in one ago, making Gauri chuckle at his rusty eating etiquette's.

"Go slow dumbo! Or else you'll chock and die, and I am telling you I am not clearing the mess of your company after you!" Gauri warned, bursting into laughter, looking at her boss making weird faces.

"You know I could easily fire you for calling your boss a dumbo?" He have her a challenged looked as he finished last bit of his coffee.

"But I know you won't," she smirked at him.

"And why is that? You are obviously a crappy co worker who insults her boss at daily basis, and might I add, a ridiculously hot boss for that matter," he ran his hand through his hair and winked at her, to which she replied by a bored eye roll.

"Because firstly, I am not just your co worker, I am your best friend and secondly, because your company will probably shut down in week if I am not there to clear all your mess and look after you," she stuck her tongue out to him and laughed at her lost puppy looks he sent her way.

"Probably true," he admitted with a grin.

Then suddenly all the happiness from gauri's face disappeared and he knew what was coming his way..and he was scared, shitless.

"You Rudy, are the most impossible person I have met! You have a meeting today and you didn't even bother to prepare for it! If it wasn't for Leah, I would have not known about it and not prepared this file for you! Highly irresponsible Rudy!" She glared at him.

"I am sorry! I was about to prepare for this meeting last night but then at the last moment.."

"Then what?"

"She called,"

"She who?"

"Sarika Gauri! Sarika! You remember the ridiculous hot girl from Fredrick pvt lmt inauguration party last year? The girl in the short skimpy dress and nice huge boobs-"

"Rudy!"

"What! You don't believe it? She did call me! She said she got my no from one of her friends, who told her I am the best she ever had and she called me over to blue star hotel and fuck! You should see her now Gauri, her boobs-"

"Rudy!"

"They have become even bigger! Maybe she got a transplant or something..who cares? Good for me anyway right? So where was I? Yeah! She was the best lay of my life! Beyond best! We did it for-"

"Rudy shut up for goods sake of I'll shove this captain America coffee mug inside your mouth!" She yelled as she jumped from her seat and stamped her hands hard on the table, shooting murderous glares at him.

"Jeesh woman calm down! I was just appreciating god's fine piece of art. No harm in that," he rolled his eyes, though for a moment he was really scared shitless at the furious Gauri.

Because furious Gauri is like a starved lion, something you should not mess with, nada!

"Yes there is no harm appreciating 'god's fine art-'," she rolled her eyes as his use of words.

"-But you should not do it at the cost of your work idiot! The company is the result of your hard work dumbo and I don't want to see something bad happening to it because of some foolishness of yours. Why don't you just find a nice and sweet girl than jumping from one 'piece of art' to another?" She asked.

"I already have..but she just never see me," Rudy muttered under his breath.

"What? You said something?"

"Yeah, I said stop wasting my time, unlike you have a very important meeting to attend. I am not just your best friend Gauri, I am also the owner of this company..you just can't expect me to sit around and chit chat with you," he fringed seriousness, grabbed his files and ran for his life laughing loudly, after seeing the expressions on Gauri's face going from confused to furious.

"You dumbo!"

Gauri was sitting in her cabin, going through some files when her phone rang. The caller ID said 'dumbo'.

"Hey dumbo, what's up? Don't say you screwed up at the meeting because if you did, I swear I am gonna cut of your testicles and send them to your 'piece of art'!"

"Shut up silly! The meeting was awesome, we got the deal," Rudy's said, she could feel him smirking from the other side.

"Really!?! It will be the biggest achievement of your company! I am so proud of you Rudy!" She jumped with joy. No matter what she said, she always knew Rudy would crack this deal. Though a little irresponsible, he was a clever business man.

"Yeah..but not the biggest though,"

"What do you mean?"

"Can you guess who was unexpectedly present in the meeting and decided to have a contract with us?"

"Who?"

"You have to guess silly!"

"Rudy, there are like a hundreds big companies in india, guessing among them would be so impractical. Just tell me already,"

"You are no fun, really. But this is not India's but Asia's biggest company! The Oberoi's Gauri! They was to have a deal with us! Mr Shivay Singh Oberoi was himself at the meeting today, he said Mr Carlson told him that our company have a lot of potential and if given chance, we can rise up to new heights. who would have expected?"

Gauri face paled.

Did she hear it right?

The Oberoi's?

"R-Rudy..,"

"Yeah Gauri, I cant hear you, are you there? Mr Oberoi is coming to our office tomorrow. Isn't that awesome? ...Hello?...Gauri?"
