Jaune arc?
—————————————
Jaunt walked through the seemingly endless desert as night once again begun to fall. He spotted a mountain close by, and begun to scale it again as he did the night before.
Jaune grabbed some wood and a rock and begun to rub them together, effortlessly creating a fire to combat the cold. He would travel more during the night, and be possibly out of this desert, if not for the fact he would freeze to death if he tried.
This is so stupid
We need to warm up, or else we'll freeze. It's simple really I don't see why you can't seem to grasp it.
But we're going to slow! We stop on a mountain every single night and wait when we could be moving!
Well when were out of this oddly large desert we can move during the night, until then we must wait here and warm up.
Jaune took this moment to look over what little resources he had remaining. He had exhausted most of his food and wood traveling thus far in the desert. He only has his basic stone tools, with his sword and axe being on uncomfortably low durability. His pickaxe and shovel were both on high durability's from what he could tell, no signs of cracking. He had been hunting rabbits as he traveled, so he had gathered a comfortable amount of food. He didn't have to worry about starving constantly, so that was a good thing.
But on the flip side, he still needed more food if he was to keep the current pace he was going at. And that meant using his decaying weapons, which meant he would need more food to get more, and so on and so forth. He was currently trapped in an endless cycle of hunting, then mining, then hunting, and continue.
Frankly he was sick of it
When he first arrived in this new place he was fascinated by every little thing. From the way the sun was just a giant square to how the day and night seemed to be so short.
But now, now all he was was bored. He had been in this desert for what felt like weeks, with the only slight interesting thing being finding the ruined temple and the strange glowing apple.
Speaking of the apple, it was truly a strange item. It glowed constantly, with no sign of stopping any time soon. It was still an apple, as far as Jaune could tell, and that meant it was still edible. If worse came to worse, at least he had some back up food. Still, the everglowing apple creeped him out.
Seriously, how long are we gonna sit here?
As long as we need to
Dammit this is boring, I wish we had our sweatshirt still. Then we could keep warm, but no! We ditched it!
It had a hole in it
Still! Why can't we make another one!
We don't have any- wait, that might actually work
Wait really?
Yes, you can make leather using cactuses. All we need is a few cactuses and we can make a sweatshirt
Do we have a few cactuses?
No, but we can find one, we are in a desert after all
Jaune peered over the cliff he was currently inhabiting, as he looked down at the sandy plains he started to realize just how much of a task this would be. Normally getting a cactus, especially in a desert, would be easy. Just go in, get it, get out. But with the seemingly endless amount of mods that swarmed Jaune whenever he wasn't high up. This task had now turned into Get down, avoid mobs, don't get killed, get cactus, get back up.
Isn't there an easier way?
Do you want to wait up here all night?
No... let's get this over with
Jaune stabbed his sword into the side of the mountain and allowed it to slow his decent as he fell to the floor of the desert. As he landed onto the base of the sandy mountain he had climbed, he quickly looked around for the closest cactus.
He spotted it, rather close to the mountain he had just jumped off of. There was only a few zombies shuffling around near it, nothing he couldn't handle.
Jaune slowly approached the first zombie of the small horde, careful not to make any loud noises as he did. The element of surprise was a valuable resource, one he intended to use.
Equipping his axe, he raised it high above his head and swung down at the zombie. Separating the head from the undead's body.
The other three zombies quickly turned at the sound of their Comrades groaning, to see Jaune there was his axe.
The zombies glanced at their decapitated Comrad, before all rushing him.
Jaune stepped back and took his sword out, throwing it into the head of the first approaching zombie. The second zombie swiped at him, which Jaune sidestepped and kicked the undead down. The third zombie met a similar fate to the first, his head being removed from the rest of the body.
The last zombie, who has just gotten up from
It's place in the sand, once again attempted to bum rush Jaune. Who effortlessly put his axe into the creatures chest, ending its life.
Well that was, easy
They're zombies, it's supposed to be easy.
Still...
Jaune retrieved his sword, and disregarded the rotten flesh left behind by the zombies. With a powerful downward swing, he broke the cactus and it entered his inventory, joining his assortment of items.
Well, we have what we came for
Head back to the mountain, we aren't safe here.
Jaune headed the voices in his heads warnings and headed back to the mountain, careful to avoid any mobs. As he reached the base of the mountain, he heard a strange noise followed by an ominous shadow.
Jaune spun around, his sword ready, only to meet what looked to be the legs of a creature.
It was very tall, much taller than himself. It's legs and arms were long and slender, with its torso being much smaller in comparison. It's body was as black as the night, it almost looked as if it was made of shadows. It's body was eerily similar to that of a humans, but unlike zombies and skeletons, it didn't seem undead.
It seems, docile?
Try to communicate with it
As Jaunes blue eyes slowly went up to meet the creatures glowing purple ones, the creature suddenly got very agitated.
Jaune: Uh, Hello?
The Creature of the nights Jaw extended, and his giant mouth opened. The creature punched Jaune with so much force that he was sent flying into the sandy mountain behind him.
Jesus Christ!
Get back up!
Jaune jumped back up just in time to see the creature moving towards him, it moved very fast most likely due to its height.
Jaune swung at the creature as it got close, only for him to hit air. Jaune looked around for the thing, just to see it much farther away then it previously was. The only thing that even showed the creature was near Jaune was the purple particles that followed it everywhere.
How fast even is this thing?
It doesn't matter, we've got to kill it!
The creature once again approached Jaune, this time Jaune stepped away from the punch and counter with his own. The thing recoiled and flashed red, signgnifiying that it could indeed be hurt.
Well that's good
Watch out!
Jaune was barley fast enough to raise his sword in defense as the creature slammed both its arms downwards towards him. Jaunes sword shattered on impact, sending shards of the blade everywhere, and into Jaunes arm. He clutched his arm in pain as it began to seep blood.
Godammit!
We can't give up, keep going!
Jaune took his axe out, readying it with his good arm as the thing came around for another attack. But this time, Jaune was ready. The creature threw a punch, but Jaune stepped perfectly to the side and came down on the its arm with his axe.
Blade met skin as the arm of the thing was forcibly removed from the rest of its body. The creature screeched in pain and moved faster then Jaune could blink away. Jaune looked at the tip of his blade to see the purple blood of the thing
So it can bleed
If it bleeds, we can kill it.
The creature returned again, this time attacking much more ferociously. Jaune was quickly put on the defensive, barely dodging or blocking the powerful punches from the thing.
Even without its arm, it's still freaky fast
We can't keep this up
Sure enough, Jaune began to slow, as the creature finally landed a hit. This time Jaune was sent to the ground, with the creature hovering over him. He attempted to stand, only to falter into his right knee. His enemy took its chance and punched Jaune right back onto the ground, and this time he did not stand up again.
The thing, believing the fight to be over, turned his back on Jaune. He took his chance, throwing his axe in a last ditch effort to slay the beast. Said beast was too preoccupied with its lost limb to notice the axe until it was too late. The axe pierced the creatures back, and with a horrifying screech the thing succumbed to its wounds.
Jaune limped over to the creatures remains, grabbing what looked to be a small pearl from
It.
Great, amazing.
Jaune retrieved his axe and slumped against the Mountain side, and let the darkness welcome him as he fell unconscious
