I SAID I NEEDED SPACE~ CHAPTER 10:

~~The Hospital ~~

INTRO:

"Are they all yours?"

"No, they are mine" I reply, and they look down to my left hand,

"They are very well behaved, well done," they say

"They are aren't they," Blair says, before I fell the table move and hear a blood-curdling scream from beside me, I look down to see Ava on the ground

HOW WAS DADDY'S HOUSE? I say to my 3 girls who look and smell clean, they have big smiles on their faces. I just picked them up from Grayson's house and we are going to meet my older sister Blair for lunch

"Good mummy we watched a movie," Saskia says instantly

"And ate carrots" Ava exclaims

"Oh, what movie did you watch?"

"Da Grinch mama, but Lolly fell asleep"

"Oh did she" I say "How were the carrots"

"Yummy"

"Are you ready to see Aunt Blair?" I ask

"Yes Bare Bare," they say

"Yes Blair Bare"

When I pull into the parking lot Blair is in front of her car and waiting for us. She comes over to the car when I park and she helps me get the girls out

"Hey Blair," I say

"Hi Aves, hello my loves" she replies lifting Lola out of the car seat, the other 2 run around to her and hug her legs

"Bare" they scream

"Come on, inside," I say to them and we wall walk inside to the cafe we wait in line for the couple in front of us to be seated

"Hi guys how can we help you," the young girl says to us

"We have a booking" Blair replies

"Name"

"Davies" the girl checks us off and brings us over to a table

"Did you want some kids' menus?" she asks

"Yes please, could I have 3," I say

"Yes, of course, I will be back shortly" she replies and I sanitize the baby seat and Blair places Lola in, I then get the girls all situated with their crayons before I look at my sister

"So how have you been going?" I ask her

She then goes on to tell me how her week has been and all about her wedding planning. I order all 3 girls chicken nuggets with chips from the kid's menu, which if they do not finish it doesn't matter, Blair orders a salad and I order a burger.

Just as we finish eating I hear a small voice rise and I turn to hear the noise, in the direction that it is coming from

"Are they all yours?" An elderly couple says to Blair, and they smile at her, and the 3 girls that are behaving very well, they are babbling about what they are eating, and Lola is laughing at them occasionally shoving a fry or nugget in her mouth

"No, they are mine" I reply, and they look down to my left hand, I presume looking at a wedding or engagement ring

"Oh, are you married dear?"

"Ah no"

"Wow that must be a challenge," they say and I frown getting ready to defend myself

"No no, don't take this as rude, we had 4 young kids once and it was hard with the both of us," they say

"Oh, sorry! We just get a lot of judgment" I reply

"No worries, they are very well behaved, well done," they say

"They are aren't they," Blair says, before I fell the table move and hear a blood-curdling scream from beside me, I look down to see Ava on the ground

It all happens so fast, that I didn't notice her slip until it was too late and she was on the floor screaming blood pouring from her face

"Oh my god," I say and I push my chair back and the room goes silent, "What the," I say and I immediately bend down to pick her up, Blair hands me a napkin, and I dab her chin to see where the blood is coming from and it's her chin

"Hey calm down, It's okay baby," I say, rocking her "Blair calls an ambulance," I say and she gets on the phone, the couple turns to me and apologize profusely, but wave them off.

Surprisingly the other 2 girls became startled but didn't cry and just watched along. Once the ambulance arrived, I got in it with Ava, and Blair took the other 2 and drove behind us.

"And how do you feel?" the paramedic asks Ava, trying to look at her chin

"Ouchy" she replies and I smile watery, the guilt crushing me, if I hadn't had taken my eyes off of her she wouldn't have fell

"She's going to be fine mum, maybe a few stitches," the lady says to me

We pull into the hospital and they take us un immediately, and check her in, placing us in the waiting room. Blair meets us with the other 2 girls and calls Billie and Grayson for me.

Billie arrives within 15 minutes, and I am nervous waiting for Grayson

"It's going to be okay," she says to me, as I nervously glance at the door,

"I'll take the other 2 to the canteen," she says and she gets up, I look down at Ava who is asleep on the waiting room chair, and I look at the sliding doors waiting for Grayson

"What the fuck happened" Grayson saying storming into the waiting room, not even 15 minutes later, and I can literally see the steam coming off of him

"We were a lunch and she fell" I start to shakily say

"What do mean she fell"

"I took my eye off her for a second to speak to an older couple and she must have slipped"

"How could you take your eyes off of her"

"Because"

"You are so irresponsible, what if she needs stitches, why were you not paying attention" he starts but I cut him off

"I TOLD YOU GRAYSON, I AM DONE, I AM SO DONE WITH THIS SHIT"

"WELL I AM TOO"

"FUCK YOU"

"HAVE A NICE LIFE" He says and he storms out of the waiting room, and every person is staring at me, I look at Blair who is sympathetic, I fall into her arms and burst into tears

"What the hell just happened," Billie says walking to the waiting room

"They just had a screaming match," Blair says informing her

"I know, I could hear it from the other side of the hospital"

"I don't know what I am going to do Bil," I say wiping my eyes taking a tissue from Blair to wipe my snotty nose

"You will be fine," she says

"I don't think so," I say and I stand up

"Hey maybe you should sit down, you look white"

"No no I'm fine," I say

"Have some water" Blair says pushing the water to me

"No-" I go to reply but I don't get further because I suddenly feel dizzy and everything goes black around me
